housing prices have skyrocketed. that house was 300k back in the 90's. today it'd be almost a million.

Leo Gold: Don’t believe me? It’s all in the numbers. For a hundred years, there’s been a conspiracy of plutocrats against ordinary people.
JC Denton: Do you have a single fact to back that up?
Leo Gold: Number one: In 1945, corporations paid 50 percent of federal taxes. Now they pay about 5 percent. Number two: in 1900, 90 percent of Americans were self-employed; now it’s about two percent.
JC Denton: So?
Leo Gold: It’s called consolidation. Strengthen governments and corporations, weaken individuals. With taxes, this can be done imperceptibly over time.
There you go.
nope, these are actual posters from Sup Forums and the_donald
>being objectively correct is racist
If you want to have such a house be afforadable for a middle class family in a city with hugely interconnected infrastructure, then you have to pay a lot. It's logical.
Build it in bumfuck nowhere if you want it for free.
>House in Winnetka
>Upper middle-class
Nigga you dreamin'
same thing happened in aus
>be a smoll comfy country of 15-20 mil until 1990

This image is blatant bullshit. If anything, it was the CIA which funded modernist and post-modernist art as a direct dichotomy to the more traditional artistic sensibilities of the USSR.
Yes, yes. I know the Jews are everywhere and all-powerful.
man whyte people had it good back then
There were like three families living in that house full time, though.
I have 1 friend that is upper middle class. Lives on a hill, house is decently sized. Nothing like the 1 in the photo though. My other friend is loaded. Dad is a big time gambler. His house looks like the one in the picture
>Their jobs are not mentioned in the film. The novelization says that his father is a successful businessman and his mother is a fashion designer, which accounts for all the mannequins that Kevin used to stage the "party".
>middle class
There was a time that could still be considered middle class
yea, if you live on rodeo drive
whos house is it? Or was it?
>tfw you are not white in a white suburb
>tfw you own a home like this and no one else does

That home cost over $1M even in 1990.
Kevin was upper class not upper-middle class.
>The Jews rule the b...
I honestly don't get why people want to live in big ass mansion. They are just too fucking big and seem like a waste most of the time, also it feel cold and too shiny instead of cozy
But then again I grew up lower class so what do I know
>has enough money to pay for a vacation for your own family and the brother's family
>4 of the 14 airplane tickets were first class
>enough to do yearly vacations like this
>upper middle-class
They were rich as fuck.
Divisive economic policies from both sides of the aisle. Rich got richer, poor got poorer.
Neoliberal economics led to consolidation. Instead of a dozen defense companies, you had five for example.
With consolidation, the fewer jobs available were clustered in a half dozen urban areas. These areas had high growth rates and less and less housing space.
It's a government assisted child farm
Uh, maybe because they have big-ass families you dink
4 children do not require a house that big tho.
This
There are two types of cities in America
Those that are largely abandoned and filled with high crime like Baltimore, Detroit, St Louis and those that are overcrowded and too expensive to live in like NYC, LA and Seattle
