Characters everyone hates, but you love.

Does Jerry remind you of yourself?

no not really. I can relate to him in some situations, but I he doesn't remind me of me.

I love him too.

Yes, not the stupid part, just the part of him being a pushover wanting to be loved.

Wait, people hate him? He's my favorite character.

So, Jerry appreciation thread?
They're still gonna keep him around in season 3, right?

Post Season 2

myself

>post's show's most popular character
whew

The blue ghost from Foster's Homefor imaginary friends

This son of a bitch.

...

He is pathetic as fuck but I just hate the wife more.

I was always fond of him, I think he's a realistic character. Glad to see more people are starting to appreciate him since the recent episodes.

Scrappy-Doo

He's honestly more likable and well developed than Rick, altough that isn't saying much.

I hope that what happens is the first episode has Jerry moving out and trying to stay connected with Morty and Summer, both of whom reject him.
Jerry disappears for the entire season, which depicts the steady decline of the family under Rick's "leadership."
Then Beth happens to run into Jerry in the post-credits scene of the season's last episode and he's re-married, has a job, a step-son and step-daughter who appreciate him, and a really hot wife who is a real doctor and respects him.

Speaking of Jerrys.

Jackie's not the most developed character in the group, but she's really chill. Doesn't deserve any flak really.

That would be Rick.

I like this theory. I dub it JGTOW, Jerrys Goes Their Own Way

I'd like that, but I doubt the writers have the sense or taste to do that. They'll probably just keep him around for the torture porn.

Jerry is a funny, likable character while watching the show. It's only when you think back on it do you realize just how horrible everybody is in that show..

My favourite SJ character. Robots are people too

thanks, user
if the show didn't become normie meme tier trash, Dan Harmon would at least have the self-awareness of his own destructive alcoholism to do something like this
now that he's back on top of the world after losing his other show, I strongly suspect that the new season of R&M will be a cornucopia of grandstanding

He is the representation of a good person in real life that just can't become the bad guy to fit on our rotten society.

>Implying anyone hates X-49

I think Jerry needs to undergo a bit of development before things start going well for him. But I do hope he gets a semblance of a happy ending without having to kowtow to Rick's insanity.

Lars is actually a really good character on his own, but he's constantly stuck with Sadie and Steven, who bring out the worst in him while he brings out the worst in them.

It just bothered me that his redemption episodes never seemed to stick and he was back to the status quo by the end of every one. Nice that the newest one feels more definitive though.

Just kidding.

>Sadie and Steven take the worst of him
No, it's Lars own fault, he is afraid of what other people think about him, he sabotage himself every opportunity he got for redemption because of fear of rejection.
At this point I must say that Lars it's probably the best written secondary character on the show.

Absolutely everyone in Archer is a dick, just on different levels of dickishness. Imo, Krieger is the least, then Cyril.

>character everyone hates
You're doing it wrong

Fuck you I think he's adorable and did no wrong.

did you not watch the episodes where Cyril gets an inch of power, like El Contadore or where Cyril becomes a dictator?
he's a narcissist at heart like the rest of them
Krieger is definitely the least assholish of them all

I really hope they don't use her just for character development for Star and Marco. Nefcy is much smarter than that I hope.

Yeah, I saw those, but I think they both pale in comparison to some of the shit the rest of the cast pulls. I think it's because Cyril rarely gets the power to be a dick in most episodes whilst the rest of the cast find ways to be dicks all the time.

I don't watch Gumball but that is a really punchable face.

Does anyone hate Jerry? He's really funny and kind of the straight man in an insane show universe.

Bayformers Optimus Prime.

Normies/casuals/reddit hate him.

Everyone who likes Jerry probably self inserts as him and wants a Sleepy Gary in their lives

A lot of R&M fans fancy themselves as Rick while everybody else is Jerry (who they despise).

In actuality, most viewers are more like Morty, Jerry, Summer, and Beth.

If Jerry doesn't end up leaving Beth for good and happily married to a Sleepy Gary then all will have been for naught

He's a face-stealing berserker, as apposed to the hardened, dry Clint Eastwood of G1 or the benevolent father-figure of later iterations. I think that's kinda funny.

I'm okay with this as long as it's shown that Jerry has also changed, not just lucked out by finding some people who like his particular brand of stupidity.

I like Jerry, but the man's thick as hell. It'd be nice if he went through a period of introspection following the fallout with his family and came out better for it.

Bonus points if we get to see Jerry having a BBQ with his new family and friends, the way Rick always fantasized about.

And Doofus Rick is at the BBQ

From what i hear even after islands some people didn't like him. I Liked him as a dickish manipulator.

Jerry can never grow in an environment where everyone puts him down. No one ever respected him so he never respected himself. This is more due to Beth, Summer, and Rick being narcissistic than Jerry being useless. It's hard to not be thick as hell when everyone around you treats you like shit for anything and everything you do.
If I were writing the show:
>Beth and Summer experience feeling of novelty with Jerry gone and Rick at the helm
>Beth, Summer, and Rick begin bullying Morty since Jerry isn't around anymore to tank
>Beth and Summer fight each other for Rick's attention in a weird amalgamation of Oedipus and Elektra complexes
>Rick loses satisfaction from Beth and Summer's affection when he realizes how they're massive tools
>Morty's mental state continues to deteriorate and his murderous impulses increase with each episode
>Rick's desire to be the center of attention clashes with his shocking laziness, resulting in a breakdown of the power structure he went through so much trouble to set up
>Beth tries to get back with Jerry who is now happily re-married and respected in his new, healthy nuclear family and is probably a stay-at-home dad
>Beth and Summer never get validation from Rick
>Rick never gets validation for his narcissism
>Morty becomes Mr. Hyde on mega steroids to Rick's Mr. Hyde on regular steroids

I don't relate to him but he and the federation or whatever are right. The universe(s) and every living being would be better off without Rick

He's got his moments. Ronaldo is a sack of shit who guarantees a shitty episode

Only fags and trolls hate Peggy Hill but I get rustled all the same when people hate in her.

yeah i like apples too

>he doesn't want a sleepy Gary in his life

I can't imagine a sadder existence

Is Evil morty just future morty ignoring the consequences of time travel?

Evil Morty is A red herring who will never be mentioned again to piss off the fans

She's fun
