His scores have been pretty shit for the sequels

Michael Giakino

A female I hope.

Aphex Twin

He didn't even compose for R1.

Going by his newer stuff, he has an intern writing the SW soundtrack these days.

Got you famalam

Doesn't really matter, he just recycles his old shit these days anyway. I'm sure he has understudies who will mimic him well enough for the normies in the movies following his death. If one of them is a woman, she's definitely going to be the new scorewriter and it will be talked about in the liberal media.

He already did the soundtrack for R1, no?

Shame it was mostly filler shit.

>Who's going to succeed him as a main SW scorewriter once he bites the dust?
That's a story for another time.

I wish

There are quite a few composers who've managed to capture the general SW feel with their scores: Jeremy Soule, Mark Griskey, Joel McNeely etc

I personally prefer Mark Griskey (and he already does work for Disney, by the way): most of these tracks, for example, sound Star Warsy enough but not quite like something you would expect from Williams

name one female film composer

Why does a female have to already be a film composer to compose for a film?

Are there any good female scorewriters? Serious question. I don't think I've ever heard about one.

That wasn't a saga movie. Spin offs don't count.

Okay, name 1 good female composer

Aye, that's why he's perfect for NuWars if he keeps up the bland shit

Why does a female have to be a good composer to compose for a film?

John Williams is going to live and compose for another 20 years, senpaitachi
now kindly delete this thread

>Jeremy Soule
God, I wish he wrote more SW music. His KOTOR1 OST was fantastic.

Came here for this.

Then again, didn't Giakino only had like 2 months to do the OST for that piece of shit? What he did for War for the Planet of the Apes was incredible in comparison.

...

is this a composer for ants?

No, that was Harry Gregson-Williams and John Powell.

No he composed stuff like this
