Gets 75% of the good guys killed out of sheer incompetence

>gets 75% of the good guys killed out of sheer incompetence
>still praised as a great strong hero

This is female privilege

she's pretty hot for an old broad
she could do milf porn if im being honest

apparently she would only be doing blacked milf porn

>Stops Finn from sacrificing himself because "Saving our friends is how we will win"
>Puts all of her friends in mortal danger with this action

>Tries to kill Kylo because he See's that he has darkness in him and wants to destroy the Jedi
>Wants to destroy the Jedi himself

You'll get your bullet one day Kathleen.
Not by me, but you'll get it.

>White male patriarch rejects female because misogyny
>He's really a worthless bum
>Female newbie beats his jedi master ass
>Steals everything he owns (those fucking books)
>Convinces him the only way to redeem himself is to fucking offhimself

Feel good cinema

I like how in the end, despite pretty much only the main cast being alive. The rebels are supposed to have been "reborn". Did the rebel leadership intentionally get everyone kill as a way to destroy any possibly dissenters who wouldn't follower them and their 3rd rate feminism?

She didn't get them killed, Finn and Rose did.

Yes, now that all the white men in the Resistance have died, they can rebuild it as it always should have been.

Was this actually an intentional genocide so that the rebellion could made in their twisted marxist vision?

>Female newbie beats his jedi master ass
Honestly this weirded me out. Not that rey beat him, whatever, but she threatens him with a fucking lightsaber while he was basically unarmed. Thats like top sith behaviour, but no one gives her shit. The same shit happens later, when she tries to surprise murder snoke with the lightsaber and he goes "i see you are a true jedi"
What the fuck honestly. This doesnt feel like star wars at all.

Rose's line about "Not killing those we hate, but saving those we love" that is the part of the film which pissed me off the most.

Because that is totally how you win a war. You save those you love, but you don't fight the bad guys! You just let them walk right all over you while the rant about 'my body, my right!'.

>Could you please tell us you have a fucking plan?
>HUMMM SWEETY, LIKE MALE PRIVILEGE, FLYBOY. JUST TRUST ME WHILE I JUST DO SOMETHING INCREDIBLY SUSPICIOUS WITHOUT TELLING YOU THE REASON OK SWEETY?

This fucking thing right here
>try to point this out Irl
Why do I even bother?

A bald assertion isn't an argument. I've already refuted your representation based arguments. Give me something else.

I'm not going to argue with you, because you don't win arguments by arguing with those you hate, but by saving those you love.

It's a pasta dumbass. A really bad one, but a pasta.

is this a new pasta?

This.
Poe forgot to factor in the possibility that those two where incompetent morons, but hey! At least the space donkeys got 5minutes of freedom before they where rounded up and put back on the track.

While we're on this, what where the chances the code breaker was even in the casino in the short window of time finn and rose where there? He could have been off on his holidays, getting a haircut, banging a hottie etc.

Why didn't the First Order just hyperspace-ram the rebel base?

>destoys huge world killing star destroyer losing a handful of bombers and a few lives
>demoted

Poe got all the bombers and their crews destroyed. Then his plan with Finn and Rose exposed the transports to the First Order who would not have noticed them otherwise. Getting those people killed. Because Poe doesn't understand how to follow orders.

Everybody was in mortal danger anyway. Being trapped underground was not helping anyone. Its not as if anyone was coming to help them, aside from Luke.

Well you can't because.... It just doesn't work that.... Why would they? They could just.....

---- Wow, I can't escape your logic.

To be fair that's an accurate representation of real-life militaries. You will follow every retarded, nonsensical command your CO gives you or else you get booted.

Why didn't the eagles hyperspeed the ring to mount doom?

In a real military, someone like Holdo wouldn't be put in charge of the mess hall, much less be allowed near anything actually important.

Yeah, but if you disobeyed while in combat you'd get executed. I'd have respected her more if she killed Poe. It doesn't make sense that she and Leia would talk about him joking behind his back as if they actually did like him when he committed a mutiny.

Because it isn't Star Ward.

> huge world killing star destroyer

but it literally didn't matter, they even said it was 'one' of them so the first order has others.

at no point in the film did the first order suffer from lack of that ship

where the redpill threads at boyssss do i need to make another troy thread

>cripples fleet at the cost of thousands of live to destroyer a star destroyer they have tons of while ignoring orders from his direct superior
>stages a mutiny
>only demoted

In a real military he would be court martialed and tried for treason

im about to start spamming i guess lol. soycuck faggots dont even have the balls to start a movement yet whine about liberals on Sup Forums...

Please at least do it right

>stages mutiny in war time in the middle of a battle
>>heee heee what a trouble maker! I know i like him too!!

>a star destroyer they have tons of

literally 60 senpai, or 59 now

Well, if Poe hadn't send Finn and Chinaexportgirl on the stupidest mission ever, Holdo's plan would've worked.

Not worth insulting

So did the first order trip over the star forge or something? I can't even begin to imagine how else they seem to have way more funds and troops than literal galactic Empire, and seem to be able to find the construction of infinite numbers of star destroyers, super star destroyers, presumably they have super duper star destroyers somewhere, on top of Snoke's personal SS Freudian and multiple literal star destroying planet guns.

The amount of shit the first order had is bordering on completely fucking absurd.

Yeah this is one of the many irritating things. Star Wars has always glossed over hard military/science details, but in the OT it made sense: Empire dominated the galaxy, Rebels collected ships and crew wherever they could. The attack on Endor was a massive gamble with most of their strength.
To be honest, I would have loved to have a reversed situation with the "honeymoon period" for the Republic wearing off and Imperial remnants led by some mysterious figure messing shit up around the fringes of Republic space.

Good point. It would have made more sense to begin with the New Republic, but this shadowy enemy, a lost remnant of the old empire, begins to attack viciously slowly culling their strength. The New Republic and the jedi are fat from good times and must become lean and mean once again to survive.

>kills 75% of her own side
>gets paid 75% of what the men are paid
it's like pottery

Baron Davis, how does he do it

>we need a strong but flawed, older female character
>ah fuck it, just color Admiral Tumblr's hair and pay the critics to talk about mansplaining

>Rey is some rando on a backwater world
>things have been peaceful for a long time
>old retrofitted Star Destroyers appear in orbit, troops land and start conducting a terror campaign
>A terrified and traumatized Rey hides in the ruins of her homeworld, to be picked up by a Republic rescue fleet; the Jedi in charge immediately notices a Force sensitive

I'd gladly take thus over the first order having literally infinite resources and the new republic being defenseless because they decided to disarm their entire military to avoid having wars again

>a "strong character" is just writing a man

makes you think

A bald assertion isn't an argument. I've already refuted your representation based arguments. Give me something else.

what do you guys think of the Star Trek remakes?

that was the whole reason their guns were "out of range" for the whole movie, lol. cause they lost their best ship.

She literally flew into his little ship, could very very easily just killed him herself that way and then his death would've been a complete waste. The reason Disney had it go this way was so they could somewhat capture the emotion of a sacrifice for the greater good like that, without having to actually go through with it and lose a precious money making character. They also need to shoehorn in her character and the romance.

Rey has some Daddy issues and Luke becomes a father figure. Experiences a short period of stability. Is happy. Then tragedy (maybe Luke getting killed, but in an awesome fight scene where he kills like 20 dark jedi (not sith - sith are more powerful)) strikes and she is lost in the world again and struggles with her internal rage.

>Poe is a member of the local undermanned underfunded Republic defense force
>can allude to his having gotten in trouble and gotten kicked to the Star Wars equivalent of Thule, Greenland

Kill me, Pete.

>investing resources in slow, enormous, easy to destroy super weapon instead of a mobile, flexible fleet that could bombard planets into inhospitable barren rocks

I like them. Star Trek took a LOT of stupid pills with those remakes but they look great and are nowhere as fucked up as this movie. Plus the 3rd movie is actually nice and trekky, having been written by an actual star trek fan (the guy who plays scotty).

You have never been in the military have you?

>I'm not going to argue with you, because you don't win arguments by arguing with those you hate, but by saving those you love.

Her whole speech lost all meaning when you remember that it came immediately after Holdo’s sacrifice scene.

um sweetie

Kill me, pete

...

Man maybe different characters believe in different things. But who would write movies in such a revolutionary way

"Kill me, Pete"

Poe said it was a fleet killer to Leia, and it then turns out that it would have wiped out the fleet after the hyperspace jump if it hadn't been destroyed.

Kill me, Pete
please please please I want to die. I will pray to this meme cat just in case it might possibly come true.

You say that but just listen to the horror stories about female NCOs

>So did the first order trip over the star forge or something?
Well it'd be a nice explanation on how Snoke got in control. Just say he found the Star Forge in some uncharted section of space along with the Sith archives.

>Be a Rebel soldier
>Have your General directly appoints purple hair lady as leader
>Hot head pilot who recently got demoted stages a mutiny
>Don't do shit
This shit got me so pissed and proved Rebels are retards without any actual beliefs of their own. You could try to tell me that they just trusted Poe more but then THEY DIDNT DO SHIT WHEN SHE TOOK CONTROL AGAIN. Why has no one talked about how paper thin Rebel loyalty is?

See it's characters like Kreia and Leia that convince me that I don't COMPLETELY hate women, just stupid useless vacuous cunts that are ubiquitous in today's degenerating society.

They're hired guns, what do you expect, a lotta loyalty?

Luke was also training Ben at the time and two developed a bond (think Anakin and Padme but the genders are swapped). The attack on the planet she's on gives her amnesia and Luke disappears, nowhere to be found. Ben also disappears, but it's later revealed that he's turned to the dark side and become Kylo Ren.

The bombers would have been wrecked in the hangar along with the remaining x-wings.

theres like 200 people left at that point

Has a PM ever been assassinated before? Can he please be the first?

>The same shit happens later, when she tries to surprise murder snoke with the lightsaber and he goes "i see you are a true jedi"

>It's literally her doing what the Emperor tried to goad Luke into doing to turn him from the path of the Jedi, but somehow now this is the path of the Jedi
I honestly feel like you have to actively try to get the points of the franchise this wrong.

Her plan was smart, it hinged purely on the incompetence of the First Order to not notice all the shuttles leaving the ship, it was a good plan that was only ruined because of Poe's plan which got the code cracker onboard the FO's ship and ratted them out the first chance he got. Shut up, it was smart.

No... no amnesia or ben....We're going extended universe for the characters.

There is Jacen, Jiana and Anakin solo who escapes the planet together with ray, but are being hunted by the dark jedi.

>horror stories about female NCOs

Tell them

Maybe if she told Poe the plan He wouldn't have done that

oh! and Tahra Veila too.... with Lowbocca!

Disney must be really made we're trashing their film if they've released the bots

>Do X
>You shouldn't have done that
>Don't do X
>Why didn't you do that?
Fuck you mom! Nothing ever pleases you, why don't you love me!?

Not to mention kamakazeed in to fin in order to save him. That shoulda killed them both if this film made any sense

And why did they go on the mission in the first place? Because Holdo wouldn't tell anyone, especially not the panicking commander who was known for his erratic behavior, her plan.

Hope is like the sun...

Yes, but that is the fault of the First Order, not Poe Dameron, and more people would have lived. Its conceivable that Rose's sister, for instance would have lived.

Poe disobeying Leia's orders puts all those deaths on his shoulders.

now I watched the movie I hate it and these threads even more now, how long until this shit ends? When I'm dead?

isn't there literally a line where she says she loves you more than anything?

So did she invent weaoinized hyperspace warfare? Doesn't that invalidate all the movies before it? How many times can you invalidate 8 previous movies in one film rian??

Yes. I love my grumpy granny

This is a meme response. Holdo told people her plan because they fueled up the transports and the pilots flying them would have needed to know where they were going. Obviously the officers she did feel were trustworthy knew and backed her up during the mutiny. Leia clearly trusted Holdo when she woke up and shot Poe.

This is also a meme response because when Poe found out part of the plan, he called Holdo a traitor. Then left to plan his mutiny. He should have been thrown in the brig then at the very latest. Everybody keeps acting like Poe is the rational one when he is anything but, and its that kind of bullshit that gets people killed.

Now any sort of decency in how you treat your foes is off the table since they can always hyperspace ram you and murder most of your fleet. No more boarding ships, no more prisoners, only death.

Her plan was actually fine. If Poe's plan didn't end up failing and the guy didn't give the first order the intel that the small ships were escaping everything would have worked out better.

>opening crawl

THE FIRST ORDER REIGNS, THE GALAXY IS IN TURMOIL

>6 First Order ships chasing 3 Resistance ships for the entire moving
>somehow ships lose all momentum when running out of fuel... in space
>no backup is called from other sectors to destroy them
>some of the other ships don't disengage and jump ahead and then turn around to surround them

throw away all the SJW / Luke / whatever whining, it's quite literally the dumbest pretext for a main story arc ever

Episode 9 should just be a 2.5 hour long opening text crawl telling the entire story

I had a D&D game with a DM who couldn't into distances that went exactly like this. Except it was pirate ships, and the chase went on about 7 months. We traveled about 20 miles in that time span.

Her plan would've worked if not for the leaked Intel though.

I don't even get her quote. It's such a modern liberal agenda - "if we kill our enemies they win!" Actually, unless you destroy the First Order, everyone you love and will ever love will be hunted down and massacred. Have we really reached a point where heroic sacrifices need to be demonized in cinema?

>It's such a modern liberal agenda - "if we kill our enemies they win!"
It's the Justin Trudeau School of Warfare!
