>I like bug's life because you know, it is like real life, with all the ants knockin about and gathering food and the others insects being a pain, I don't like other movies because it is all fake fluffy and people playing pretend

Either this or Gladiator (2000)

my dad likes the ernest movies a lot. pretty sure we watched a different one every weekend growing up and he would laugh louder and harder than anyone watching them.

"Everyone cries when Old Yeller Dies", that quote was the bane of my existence as a child

My Dad is 72 and has the mentality of the average Sup Forums shitposter. I sometimes wonder if he would use this website if he was younger.

He didn't watch many films growing up so he doesn't have any childhood sentimentality for a certain film. Avatar is easy to follow and he thinks the special effects were incredible.

Same.

But educated guess? Caddyshack.

t. pleb (literally)

My father loved stop motion, all the old Ray Harryhausen stuff. Some of his favorites were Jason and the Argonauts, The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, Jack the Giant Killer, Mysterious Island, Forbidden Planet, and Clash of the Titans. Apart from those he also loved war films, epics, and action. Can't watch with him anymore as he died when I was 11. Come to think of it, a week from tomorrow will mark the 20th anniversary of his death.

this certified Paul Newman kino

I'm pretty sure it's Once Upon a Time in the West. He really enjoyed watching those Spaghetti Westerns as a kid.

I came here to post this

Alien or Space Odyssey

Sissy porn

I wish I was joking

I'm 21 and he turned 60 three months ago.

Adam?

Probably Gladiator

Seeing this thread makes me feel really fucking old, even though I'm "only" 24 and my dad is nearing 60.

Bane?

it's weird that i literally just asked what his favourite film was just before i saw this thread.

Ep. 2 for mine.
He loves the prequal because of the battle scenes. When I think about it, the prequals were probably with LoTR the last big budget movies with battle scenes filmed static shoots or dolly, not close up hand held pov shit.

I remember watching A Bug's Life in theaters with my grandparents when I was a young tot. My grandpa had Alzheimer's and after we were talking about the movie and my sister said her favorite character was the caterpillar and he said, "Oh yeah, I remember him from back when I was in the service." It was one of those things we thought was funny back then, but is actually really sad thinking about it now.

Same, my pops had this on VHS, was two tapes iirc.

Feels.

he loves the first 2 but hated the third, surprisingly he also hated the force awakens
