More like Spider-Bitch! His pimp daddy doesn't even let him punch people!

SPYDER MAN!!!!

I realize now, I am that guy. I am the fat guy yelling 'Yeah Spyda Mayn'

Becasue I have been waiting for years to see a good Spider man movie, and it's finally
happening.

My boy has come home.

>Spider-Man Homecoming
>A good Spider-Man movie

Yeah, if by being everything Spider-Man isn't about is your idea of a good Spider-Man movie, sure

HA HA
SPIDERMAN
WHAT'S CRACKIN BABY

>Becasue I have been waiting for years to see a good Spider man movie, and it's finally happening.

Traveler! What reality are you from? Tell me how you managed to come to this Earth.

>it's not the same exact story that's been told a thousand times so therefore you can't like it and be a spiderman fan

Explain to me this story that's been told a thousand times.

Because I'm pretty sure as far as movies go there's just Raimi and Webb, which were both very different from each other.

>Becasue I have been waiting for years to see a good Spider man movie

spiderman has a generally consistent track record though

>Becasue I have been waiting for years to see a good Spider man movie, and it's finally
happening.
You should've just watched Spider-Man 2, then.
If you waited for this, you're bound to be disappointed.

>by being everything Spider-Man isn't
Elaborate.

>Becasue I have been waiting for years to see a good Iron Man movie, and it's finally happening.

Rami was fine but ultimately suffered from a bad romance plot which was the focus of most of the story and only the second one was good.

Webb was just bad, bad characterization, forced plot, terrible acting, and trying way to hard to make a multi movie franchise.

Bad Design

When Tony gives Peter the "great power" speech , and it's revealed Ben died in 9/11 or the invasion., come back to us and tell us how you feel.

But Peter already gave Tony the "With great power" speech

you have any facts about that

youtu.be/3OnOJSNktOs?t=2m12s

heh nobody is that exited for black super hero and never will

Peter already has the great power philosophy you mong, and he's still Spider-Man because he let Uncle Ben die.

Peter has clearly had the great power speech told to him already.
Just because he paraphrased it instead of saying it word for word doesn't mean it didn't happen.

>and it's finally happening.
Where?

I like this guy. I hope he cameos in every movie.

>My boy has come home.
yes he has

and that's all that matters

you fucking retard

>This board when audiences enjoy this movie thoroughly.
I get the biggest laugh out of "N-not my 60's Spidey supporting characters."

Amazing Spider-Man was about as mediocre as it gets, and SM3 and ASM2 are both fucking trash.

SM3 is the most lacking of the trilogy, but it's still miles better than fucking TASM2

Spider Man doesnt interest me as a character

I really don't get where you people come from...
You realize if something is popular, it only adds to contrarian nerd ammo under the basis that it's for normies, right?
The fact that pic related enjoys a movie does nothing but make it worse

>therefore you can't like it and be a spiderman fan
>spiderman

Well you're obviously not an actual fan.

I pity this fool.

Why does Sup Forums seem to hate on this movie? It looks to be one of the better spiderman movies to come out.

Spider-Man is an Avengers toy
The entire appeal of Spider-Man was that he was a lone hero with a secret identity living a dual life, who used his own ingenuity and smarts
Literally all of this has been taken away, so it fucking sucks

I thought that was a Tyler Perry cameo.
Because it looks even less polished than the previous 5 films. It doesn't look grand in scope, and the cinematography looks very basic. Everything about the film looks basic, including the fat friend doing the retarded fat friend shit.

yay spidey!

>>it's not the same exact story that's been told a thousand times so therefore you can't like it and be a spiderman fan
But...you have heard this story...plenty of times. It's Danny Phantom. It's Static Shock. It's literally every single fucking "Kid in high school with powers" story you've ever seen! Just because it's a different Spider-Man story because it omits characters doesn't mean it's a unique story.

He still has a duel life. Besides the best part of Spider-man has always been fighting bad guys and spitting out quips. That's literally all Spider-man needs.

Half of it is Raimifags, the other half is redditors that desperately want to finally put a loss in the Marvel column.

>Explain to me this story that's been told a thousand times.

Kid gets powers
Kid hides powers to keep everyone safe
Fat kid is a retard
Kid with powers is in love triangle for a girl out of his league
Kid eventually settles for weirder girl
Kid abuses power, faces consequence, has to earn his right back

It's a story you've been sold many times before with a fresh coat of paint. Why do people act like films and series outside the MCU don't exist. You've seen this story many, many times.

>lone hero with a secret identity living a dual life
He still seems to have one

>who used his own ingenuity and smarts
I have yet to see anything to the contrary. Before getting the new suit from Stark, he used his home made costume and web shooters

>Spider-man
>Lone hero
Yeah, the guy that first appeared in a team book, and rivals Wolverine and Deadpool (who he currently has a team up book with) is a real lone wolf.

It's really funny, because I really didn't hate SM3 at all. Sure, it was lackluster, but I don't see why it gets such venomous hate when there are clearly worst films out there.

I dislike the costume. It looks lifeless and it lacks most of the design elements I like of comic Spider-Man (large eye lenses, large chest emblem. I'm a monster who loves 90s comic Spidey).

Holland seems bland. He seems a bit more interesting than Maguire, but I liked Garfield, even if his movies have issues.

I don't want to see Iron Man 4 is the main reason, and this feels more like Iron Man 4 at this point.

>Half of it is Raimifags

None of which have ever actually read a comic book in their lives.

>Raimifags
What makes you think that? If anything in the recent years the anti-Raimi fanbase has only been growing, partially due to the TASM "totes like the comics" checklist convincing them Raimi's movies were never good. Raimi fans are chill

>Kid eventually settles for weirder girl

Still trying to keep up the Zendaya is a love interest meme, huh?

>the guy that first appeared in a team book

Uhh... wut?

Amazing Fantasy was not a team book you filthy fucking casual.

See what i meant ? These assholes almost make it look like liking the original trilogy is the unpopular opinion

In general Spiderman's threads are fucking insufferable. Nowhere else i see as much vitriol between fans about how the character or his stories are "supposed" to be

>He still has a duel life. Besides the best part of Spider-man has always been fighting bad guys and spitting out quips. That's literally all Spider-man needs.
Read a comic book fag
>Before getting the new suit from Stark, he used his home made costume and web shooters
You mean, before he had any screen time? Oh yeah, the new Spider-Man movie is great because he WAS like Spider-Man before he was actually introduced to the MCU!

Fuck off moron

Spider-Man didn't start off as part of the Fantastic Four
Neither have MCU fags, and I hate Raimifags, but they're the lesser cancer here, I'll take faggots who insists Spider-Man comics were always Adam West Batman levels of camp and think organic webbing should be canon over you fucking retarded shills

>Besides the best part of Spider-man has always been fighting bad guys and spitting out quips. That's literally all Spider-man needs.
And I have to stop your dumb ass right there.

This right here is why Spider-Man has sucked for so much of late. "Spider-Man needs to crack jokes" is the shittiest excuse to define a character. Outside the drive to help the small guy, or the constant guilt over Uncle Ben's Death, or his not wanting anyone to die personality traits, people keep focusing on "I saw a couple out of context panels of Spider-Man being funny therefore he must always be funny"

That's just the online looking glass. That's taking a trait you see cause funny pictures are always spread around online and people take a few out of context panels and say "Spider-Man must always be funny". Thing is, a lot of Spider-Man jokes don't work. How many times has he gone "You're crazy cause you're dressed up like a ________" gag? Like, has him calling someone crazy ever landed as a joke? It's like the Deadpool effect, where unfunny jokes seem like they are funnier because they are coming from Spider-Man.

This whole "Spider-Man only needs to be funny" shit needs to stop because it's a shitty excuse for bad writing. I remember a convention where the panelist praised Dan Slott's writing because "He's the only writer that remembers Spider-Man needs to be funny". This is why we got the Family Guy Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon. This is why we have a fandom that defines Spider-Man as an Avengers suck up.

This dismissal of all things Spider-Man for him to say something like "The Vulture? You better not poop on me!" is why we keep getting a more Flanderized Spider-Man.

>Spiderman
>Not a casual

You aren't fooling anyone.

Amazing Spider-man Number 1, holmes.
His own solo and the first thing he does is "hey here's a crossover!"

And Amazing Fantasy, as an anthology, is close enough.

She's on the fucking poster, is the only girl advertised, and even if she doesn't get with him in this film, they will by the second or third. This is Hollywood we're talking about.

>I'll take faggots who insists Spider-Man comics were always Adam West Batman levels of camp and think organic webbing should be canon

user, -you're- the cancer on this board.

And she's actually secretly Mary Jane, right?

Face it. You guys have been doomsaying and grasping at obvious straws for so long that even if the movie does turn out to be shit you won't be taken seriously.

>Amazing Spider-man Number 1, holmes.

First off, not his first appearance.

Second off, ASM #1 was not a team book.

Try actually reading them.

>She's on the fucking poster
And? She's the only known kid star that isn't Tom Holland in the cast. She's famous as fuck with kids for being on the Disney Channel. Why wouldn't they promote that she is in the movie?

That does not in any way even suggest that she's a love interest.

team up. Typoed.

This, holy shit
"Fans" go up and down swearing the TASM movies are the most accurate movies ever because "at least Spiderman makes jokes", then you look at the movies and what happens? Peter sits on his ass for an hour just trying to crack jokes no matter the context

>I'm hunting down my uncle's killer, he's gonna pay for what he did...
>But for now let me waste 15 minutes on this random car thief. I bet he's gonna be so mad he got ownd, loool XD

>This crazy russian guy is driving a speeding truck through the city and doesn't care if he kills in the process!
>Better sit on his vehicle and try mock his life choices... oops, there goes a car and it's passengers. And another. And another...

I don't understand how people could have such a superficial view of the character. I mean, i understand, but I'd expect the board dedicated to fucking comics to be less casual than this

How much did Pascal pay you to write that?

>team up

You're still wrong. If you'd actually read the book, the entire issue is about how Spider-Man does NOT work in a team, you fucking mongoloid.

He goes to the Fantastic Four, demanding they accept him in their ranks and pay him. When they don't want to, he throws a fit and GTFOs out of the Baxter Building. The rest of the issue is spent having Peter bitch about how he doesn't need anyone else and just needs to take care of himself.

>Peter sits on his ass for an hour just trying to crack jokes no matter the context
If we're making shit up I also hate the fact that he makes out with Harry for 20 minutes.

I like how this is basically going to be the plot of Homecoming but now it's unacceptable.

Even so, if Iron Man wasn't in this film, none of this film would even happen. Vulture exists to attack Peter, Peter wants to be on the Avengers, Tony takes away the suit for motivation, the film can't exist without the MCU's bubble.

And that's what makes this film feel tainted. It's saying "You can't watch this film on its own merits, you have to have watched Civil War and the Avengers first to understand everything going on" For the start of a new franchise, that's a really shitty way to present your first film.

>homo cumming
>good

fucking marvelfags man

>tfw I just became aware how often this is still quoted after all this time along with "the hero we need"

>all these people hating on this obviously great movie
don't you idiots know by now THIS. MEAN. GREATNESS. and Spiderman Homecoming has it

user, most people are too dense to even grasp a basic plot, even when its spelled out for the viewer in the trailer.

Earmuffs

Let's just leave it at that.

It looks like ass. Especially compared to Wonder Woman. I can't believe I'm actually saying this. A DCEU movie looks better than a MCU movie for once.

Also

>Spider Man saving the world
>Awkward spazzy Peter dialed up to 11
>Iron Manlet
>Manlet pajeet Flash
>Zendaya
>NINE writers
>Less than two years of production time
>Sony

>And Amazing Fantasy, as an anthology, is close enough.

Yeah, no.

I don't think you know what the word "anthology" means.

Amazing Fantasy was a book where each issue had multiple stories. All set in the same universe, but otherwise self-contained.

This includes Spider-Man. At no point his introduction does he ever "team up" with anyone.

>90s fartoon Spidey
>Not allowed to punch
>People love the show

>MCU Spidey
>Not allowed to punch
>People bitch all day about it

I don't get it

>What is hyperbole

I made my examples, dude

youtu.be/4_23t4NzAMk
>Peter wasting 3 minutes fucking around with a thief and a cop when according to the plot he's supposed to be emotionally invested in finding his uncle's killer

youtu.be/wXM3GK--nhM
>Peter too invested in mocking Alexei to actually stop him, ignoring the cars and bystanders he's running over except for Dillon because the plots requires that one
Refer to 2:22 in particular

Hey now, prostitutes and porn stars have just as much right to like a movie as you do

SHIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLL

Am I dealing with 12 year olds?!

What is her role going to be if not the eventual love interest?! Hell, fucking cartoons should have taught you that a man and woman can't exist together without eventually hooking up. Kim Possible, Samurai Jack, Danny Phantom, and this is a fucking Superhero film! Not only that, but the most cliche Superhero this side of Marvel! WHY WOULDN'T SPIDER-MAN GET A GIRLFRIEND?!

>I like how this is basically going to be the plot of Homecoming but now it's unacceptable.
The Fantastic Four didn't create Peter's Suit, and Peter isn't fighting a FF Villain. And the major difference here is we know Spider-Man will be in the Avengers next year.

>Hates levity
>Anyone that defends this is a "retarded shill".
Hm. Now where have I heard this rhetoric before?

BECAUSE IT'S 2017 AND LIKE CAP SPIDERMAN NEEDS A BOYFRIEND

>The Fantastic Four didn't create Peter's Suit
Peter's first suit wasn't created by Stark. Stark creates his second suit. Peter goes back to, or makes yet another in this movie.
>and Peter isn't fighting a FF Villain
The Vulture is a Spider-man villain.
>We know Spider-man will be in the Avengers next year
Yes because Spider-man NEVER teams up with anybody. He's completely isolated in his corner of the universe.

Yeah! This film is gonna prove that Spider-Man is too good for the Avengers! After this film that is Spider-Man relying entirely on the MCU, he's going to break free and become his own character! He's most certainly going to be too good for the Avengers.

>Peter will have a girlfriend! Movie ruined!
What the fuck are you even whining about?

I've never actually seen the second one but Jesus it might be worse than everyone said it was

...

...

this
It's like Sup Forums people are retarded or something

yah I guess this is as good as its gonna get. I mean really I just wanted spiderman tp be apart of something bigger. Him being stand alone movies just made it hard to enjoy it because of Sony trying to hang on to the rights.

this

no one wants to see a stand alone superhero movie

A) You mean that shitty hoodie outfit that was replaced by Spider-Man's ICONIC look? You can try to distance it, but Tony Stark made THE Spider-Man look in the MCU. You know, the look that makes Spider-Man popular.
B) Vulture is going after Stark and Pete is just a distraction.
C) A franchise that relies entirely on the existence of another franchise is not a good premise for a franchise. Say what you will about the other MCU films, but at least they establish their heroes on their own first. Spider-Man's entire purpose in this film relies solely on Tony and the Avengers. You ever played that LOTR game where you're the group following the Fellowship of the Ring? Why should I be interested in a film where the hero is bottom bitch to other heroes.
>>But he'll break away
Infinity Wars clearly proves you're wrong.

The fact that so many people are in denial that this film will be as straightforward as it presents itself. Like, this is a kid showing his parents a cartoon and trying to explain to them it's deeper than they think when it plays up the same troupes.

People on here are denying that Zendaya's character won't be Peter's love interest, when it's the most blatant choice. A film where Peter is in a love triangle for a girl out of his league and he doesn't win her heart and then finds out the quirky girl he's been ignoring has been right for him? In a High School setting?

You all are acting like this film is going to blow minds if Zendaya isn't Peter's girlfriend, when it's the most obvious plot in this film, and if not in this film, the next film.

Is this the movie that will finally destroy Sup Forums if it turns out to be good?

You say that as if the comics never offered an alternative ebooks explanation as to why a teenager managed to put together such an elaborate suit

And about the franchise part, it's not about Spiderman HAVING to rely on the MCU, they're just trying to offer something different after 3 great solo movies and 2 mediocre to bad ones. What, you think when people said "we want Spisey to be part of the MCU!" they meant they wanted him to brood about how alone he is but this time with the Avengers tower in the background just to acknowledge it's the MCU? Plus it drives home the point this isn't Sonyverse

yes how ever will Sup Forums be able to handle an MCU movie being good

If JL turned out to be good THAT would destroy Sup Forums but that's impossible

It doesn't matter if it's good or not, the normies who have migrated here spam the shit out of the board calling every MCU movie "good"

Just because newfags on Sup Forums say something is good doesn't mean it's good

>calling every MCU movie "good"
because every MCU movie IS good

But that's the thing. The MCU already relies on Tony Stark too much to drive everything, and this film is an over reliance on Tony. Let's say this is a Black Panther film that has at the most pivotal moment, Captain America and Bucky Barnes saving T'Challa's skin. Wouldn't that be insanely disappointing for BP to become Cap's bitch? And that's what Spider-man is in this film, Tony and the Avengers' bitch.

No matter how hard you claim it's going to be Spider-Man's breakaway to be his own man, he's still going to be in the Avengers after this, being the dumbass "Woah, this is all so cool Mr. Stark".

In other words, people didn't want Spider-Man in the MCU, they wanted a little suckup telling you how great the MCU is.

>What is her role going to be if not the eventual love interest?!

Just another kid in the school, to, you know, make it actually feel like a school. I know, what a shocking concept. Have actual named characters in your cast, instead of a bunch of random faces.

>and Peter isn't fighting a FF Villain
What does this have to do with anything?

Peter didn't fight an FF villain in ASM #1 either. You'd know that if you'd actually bother reading the issue.

I don't understand your implication that Spiderman learning to be his own hero should mean that he'll never hook up with the Avengers again if needed

Case in point, this dense motherfucker.
