Yes, but even in the bluray release it is low quality
The original print of Episode 16 was "lost" so they had to work with a lower quality copy of the negative for the blu-ray. It has a load of halo and looks messy in the 1080 digital transfer

I would change the fuck out of everything. All the esoteric shit in Eva is meaningless. The series shines the most because of it's characters.
All of the teenage shit could be done a lot better. Some of the fight scenes are great (specially Asuka's) and should be kept.
Kawaru's piano scene and death scene from the rebuilds are a lot better than the anime's gay shit.
