Will Star Wars ever be good again?

Will Star Wars ever be good again?

It's time to take the black pill and admit that every Star Wars movie has been pure, unadulterated CRAP!!

Maybe once Kennedy and Jew Jew are dropped after solo bombs

But really no, there is no chance because it's current year and soy wars is too valuable a propaganda platform

Well, yeah. Everything I’m hearing about SOLO looks really great and encouraging. It’s released in theaters on May 25th so you dont have to wait too long!

lmao at mark in his guyer suit

No, but look at it this way: the original Expanded Universe that was approved by the original Lucasfilm is now complete. It's a closed book. A finished story. There's a nice sense of closure in that.

Disney Star Wars is nothing more than the fanfiction that followed it.

people who built a sub culture around a movie franchise are the worse kinds of people to talk to and it seems to encourage them more since they are thinking what they have is even more unique

starwars are worse than broneys

No, it's dead, they fucked it up beyond repair.

guyver. and mark wasn't the guyver nor did he ever wear the suit

the vong were shite

If and when Disney sells Star Wars to Sony they will be able to include more EU based canon. Vong invasion, old republic era and blood.

>tfw The Last Jedi could have easily made $2.3 billion if they used Luke and Snoke right

only if Disney magically collapses and/or sells the IP to someone else who would declare the Disney movies to be non-canon and make new movies within the old EU framework

no it isn't. There's a huge gap between Legacy of the Force novels and Legacy comic books, and that is a very important gap because somewhere there Luke Skywalker dies (he didn't die in the former, but he appears as a force ghost in the latter). Fuck, how could have they let this happen. EU established so many new things, but couldn't establish the death of the main hero

No.

It can't be enjoyable for white men while Disney owns it and Disney will never sell it.

Wish he did wear the suit.

Autism isn't getting cured anytime soon so the Disney stuff will be considered non-canon anyway just like mentioning Dragonball GT in a DBZ thread sets off all the autists

sp get

People are just butthurt cause “wah, my white male insert hero wasn’t Goku!” and shit over they movie. Everyone loves the film and did better then was expected.

>when regular shills are so pathetic you can’t even tell if the posts are mocking them or real

>will the 90's ever literally happen again?
No, that's not how society works.

Is that "Face"? I never red the later books.

Is that Luke wearing Yuuzhan Vong armor?

It's shite, but the media is acting like we wanted the film to fail which is far from the truth.

so the whole Yuuzhan Vong thing,
where they just basically more humanoid nids?

I also don't consider GT canon, but that's because I didn't watch the anime at all, I only read the manga

it never was

Nah, it was good in the 80s, it was "passable" in the 2000s, now it's garbage and needs to die as a film series, remain alive only as books, comic books, and video games.

Doing something new and original is never gonna happen so spin off movies around the OT/ST will continue to be pushed out.

Best bet to restore SW to some form of glory would be a new trilogy set in the Kotor Era giving them a legit galatic war with tons of sith/jedi conflicts to work with. Even with the cat out of the bag a Revan Trilogy would be pretty fucking great

Just assume he died peacefully in his sleep with his family around him. Thats what i do

Yes.

Most normies havent played kotor so the revan twist would be a shock to most

So the fact it's had 2 different directors, had been remade by one of those directors and the fact the 2 main leads needed acting coaches isn't a factor into why nobody's excited?

Nice try shill

No. And it won't have attractive main characters either.

That actually sounds pretty good. SW universe is big enough to work without constant referencing towards old and tested things from the previous movies.

It would need at least 10 years and a completely new team, and even then it would first have to reestablish some good will by making some spinoff material and retconning the ST first

We can now assume that this is totally bull crap.

I was discussing this with a friend, and he was saying how people who watch MLP are freaks etc. But I pointed out how it's not the ones who just watch the show who are fucked up, it's the ones who base their entire personality around it that are the real weirdos.
And it's just like star trek or star wars, where people build up a lifestyle around it, to levels that is beyond normal.

Sad state of things when the movies are so bad they make the Yuuzhan Vong seem like a good idea (not to say there weren't some good ideas with them).

Out of the franchise's entire 8 films there's been only two decent ones.
Just let it go dude. SW isn't worth preserving.

Please take your paid shilling and leave.

>shilling
>for 40 year old movies

Based on what?

Episode 8 and 3 aren't THAT good, user. It's all garbage.

tell that to china

Three: A New Hope, The Phantom Menace, and Revenge of the Sith.

Because it sounds completely awesome and most Star Wars fans would go for it. However, Rian Johnson is directing it and Kennedy okay'd it. So it can't be happening because there is no way those two people would be able to spot a story idea that good.

giving snoke any backstory, for one.
they've doubled down on not doing shit there.

Well he HAS a backstory, it just remains to be seen if the movies will elaborate on it.

I don't get this opinion. They were something new in Star Wars. Rather than ANOTHER Empire, Sith or random alien race from the known regions.
Plus they were an actual threat, important characters died in the story, something that was almost unheard of in the EU.
Granted, some of their tech was silly and contrived but all in all I thought it was one of the best things to come out of the EU.

Rogue One was good

That's what boggles my mind. I've been waiting to see Jedi master Luke Skywalker on screen since '83. That is what I and the VAST majority wanted.
There were a million different ways they could've told a compelling and interesting story without shitting all over the OT characters.
I mean few small changes would've accomplished the same thing and not spit in fans faces. Rather than Luke as a hermit make him and his temple secret and secluded. Kylo's story could've been nearly identical, just have him not kill all the padawans. Say Luke's arrival drove him off or something. Switch starkiller for the supremacy and rather than destroy a dozen planets it decimates the republic fleet but leaves some alive.
Now you're starting in the same place 8 did. Rey had to convince Luke and his new order to leave and help the failing republic. Hell, everything else could've gone almost the same as 8, except the casino shit.
