Lord of the Rings was the last hurrah of kino film + grade A music.

Orchestral scores are indeed dying out, so it seems...Williams is in zombie mode and Shore's Hobbit soundtrack was as dull and forced as the films.

Not memeing but the Thor: Ragnarok soundtrack was pretty stellar, not orchestral though.
