Doug was pretty bad sometimes. If you're into introverts and some serious autistic behavior, then I guess you could make a case for it. He got caught acting out his fantasies too many times for me to not feel physically uncomfortable whenever the screen started to blur. I would put aaahhh real monsters ahead of it. But still hold each of the the 5 original nicktoons in a Rock Paper Scissors type rank where none is absolutely the best.

I loved the show, but I remember very little of it.
The turtle mating season episode creeped me out because back then I didn't realize it was a Close Encounters of the Third Kind reference.
A lot of the early episodes had that kind of creepy wait-for-the-other-shoe to drop kind of humor you had in some Ren & Stimpy episodes, but it was more enjoyable, generally.
