Pretty much.

>Of cource, there's a very simple answer as to why the sun comes up in the morning. And no, it's not because of 'gravity' — while it's obvious some *sane* physicists cling on to the outdated position that gravity plays a role (give them time), most of them are fucking eebil natzis. The fact of the matter is that the sun comes up in the morning because we decided to call the time when the sun comes up 'the morning'.

Mainstream journalism has been bought by virtually anyone with an agenda in the last 20 years.

Wake up and smell the coffee, user.

Fear will keep the journalists in line. Fear of the blacklisting.

>the fact that no one is talking about TLJ being an oscar contender is due to no one talking about TLJ being an oscar contender

>that last sentence

wew

Well that and progressives love the new movie, which all journalists will be anyway.

Considering the only game in town right now is Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and live action remakes of Disney shit, I'd say they pretty much own Hollywood.

This unironically.

Guy who wrote the article

WHO'S THE LEADER OF THE CLUB THAT'S MADE FOR YOU AND ME

They don't need to. The threat of blacklisting is enough.

WANNA BE A MEMBER WANNA BE A MEMBER?

I assume they carrot and stick it. Give them free flights and hotel rooms gamergate style. If they act up you blacklist them

Media journalism is one of those modern "intellectual" jobs where you can sip your latte and bask in the glory of your own intelligence without having to worry about being cracked across the face by the whip of hard, objective truths if it turns out that you don't actually know what you're doing. That makes it a magnet for pseudo-intellectual left wing activist sorts who aren't actually capable of thinking.

>write a review
>don't need any technical knowledge
>can fill it with whatever poorly thought out garbage you like; logic is entirely optional
>can lack even a basic knowledge of the topics that you're proclaiming expertise on through the act of writing this article
>could even have been half asleep while consuming the media
>you can still hit the submit button

>write a program
>step one is to spend long hours building up the technical knowledge
>need to actually visualize the problem in its entirety; a half-baked wishy washy understanding will not suffice
>then, need to think through the problem logically to come up with a functional solution within the framework of the aforementioned technical knowledge
>fail, and the program will not do its job; you might not even be able to get it to run

Worthless job for worthless people.

>movie for kids
>Best Picture contender
not sure if serious or trolling kek

There's a hint of tribalism in there too.
Too many YT reviewers were on TLJ's dick, or even gave it a soft pass, to have all been bought.
What happened was that the reviewers and audience split right at a time when many reviewers had switched over to the patreon system, rather than the money-for-views YT system.

This engendered a "me talk - you listen" mindset. Patreon Bux give creators an inflated and delusional sense of who's the boss the relationship.

Add to that sense of entitlement to people's money, they also got "soft bribes" from Disney, or general reaching out from Hollywood names to make them feel like they were part of the boy boy's club. Not a dirtbag bottomfeeder "fan" anymore.

These are long proven manipulation tactics. You don't have to bribe a person to make him well-disposed to you or your business. You just treat him like he's important, or hell, just acknowledge him as a kind of "equal". See RLM for this latter technique in action with Max Landis and that tweet from Rian J and the weird shit with that director of Annabelle 2. While someone like Angry Joe had more direct leverage applied to him with threats (through Disney Owned Maker Studios) and merch bribes after his review came out on the negative side.

I think well see this creator/audience divide get worse. I'd expected a few outlets to do a Mea Culpa and just outright admit they were out of synch with their audience. That it was time to bring down the hammer on Disney for all these missteps and creepy PC agendas.
But many seem to have doubled down on their "Me talk - You listen" attitude. Perfect time for new voices to break through and gain audience share as it migrates away from the "Patreon Elite".

*big boy's club

>Perfect time for new voices to break through and gain audience share as it migrates away from the "Patreon Elite".

More like a perfect time for the world to formally acknowledge what it already knows: Media journalism has been rendered obsolete by the introduction of online communities. It's a relic of the age of magazines and television.

No. You're just a shut in who posts daily on a Cantonese Oragami Image board full of pedos and the mentally ill. It's warped your brain and sucked all the joy out of your life.

They do that shit for free, kind of like how people here shit on it for free.

Disney doesn't need to buy journalists.

Journalists know what is expected of them by their masters without even needing to be told.

I dont even know what the fuck that last line means

disney owns many things, from many youtubers like angry joe to websites

It's easier to buy the parent companies behind things than pay them off.

Maker studios (and now disney) owns angry joe, total biscuit and many movie review youtube channels.

...

He worded it in a way that sounds retarded, but he's basically saying that there's a positive feedback loop for the opinion that the movie is terrible and a huge loss for the franchise, and this is pushing the view that it was actually a good movie to the margins.

Or in other words, REEEE WHY IS THE PROGRESSIVE ECHO CHAMBER A TINY BUBBLE THAT DOESN'T REFLECT THE VIEWS OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC

I wish they fucking push TLJ to get best picture shit.

Shit will be so cash since it'll even cause more divisiveness, even among them pedowood.

Pewds got fired though

>the fact that no one is talking about TLJ being an oscar contender is due to no one talking about TLJ being an oscar contender

The sheer insight
I don't think my mind can handle it

Surprise surprise

why does a youtuber even need a manager

Merch bribes/sweetners are a real issue. I saw that shit with the XBOX 360S, there's a whole croney culture around big business shit like this.

2 options
>Disney has created a major conspiracy by paying off every single journalist and critic in existance
or
>Sup Forums is wrong

No. They're just that retarded.

>professional film reviewers are film school graduates who smell their own farts
>last jedi is the most pretentious in the franchise

That's ridiculous.

Well TLJ is a piece of shit so it must be the first one

Professional reviewers whore themselves out to big companies. It is not just gamergate in games, it is everything. That is their basic business model.

Wow is that Rogue One Tarkin? Looks dated as fuck already

it's gamergate all over again

>Hollywood will die within your lifetime

what about the rest of the internet?

>A company pay employees

Wow what a conspiracy

>sane Star wars fans have yet to accept Rian Johnson's installment
Sounds like a threat to me. Are we being sent to the rehabilitation camps?

>Kane and Lynch controversy
>companies like EA successfully closing E3 to the general public so that only people that they could buy would be allowed in
>reviewers openly showing off the loot that they accepted as gifts; sometimes really expensive shit
>reviewers getting wined and dined on the dime of the publishers was routine
>demonizing the gaming consumer against all evidence isn't an issue of ethics in journalism because you're also a far left wing piece of shit who doesn't care about facts that contradict your biases and desperately needs white men to be evil in order for your politics to make sense

Gamergate was 100% legit.

Reminder that disliking star wars is being anti-science

I think it's more of a case of internet 'journalism' sites having literally no standards
And idiots like you actually giving them clicks

>Gamergate was 100% legit.
no shit sherlock

I remember going for a fancy pr job I accidentally was allowed to be interviewed for.
They basically outlined how id just wine and dine clients and drive around in fancy cars and stay at fancy hotels. That would be my role.

Fucking nailed it.

For once tv is unironically right. TLJ was trash, even my normie friends think so

Disney really has got a huge PR machine

he saying that if people were told how to think it would be a better world

Has Germany and England made it illegal to not like TLJ yet?

Lightsabers are falic, we need a replacement for epIX

How ignorant can you be? people like you are why Disney gets away with this shit

Disney tried to ban LA times for daring to criticise them recently, look it up

>Disney spends billions on marketing
>everyone hates this movie
>bloggers who are cheap to buy defend the movie despite being complete shit
Really milks your sloth

>Amid a growing backlash, the Walt Disney Company on Tuesday reversed its decision to bar The Los Angeles Times from press screenings of its movies following an investigation by the newspaper into the media giant’s business dealings in Anaheim.

>“We’ve had productive discussions with the newly installed leadership at The Los Angeles Times regarding our specific concerns, and as a result, we’ve agreed to restore access to advance screenings for their film critics,” Disney said in a statement.

Sad truth.

Is Disney gettin close to its peak? I justfeel their almost monopoly on pop culture won't last long, maybe aa slow change in audience acctitude, idk, I want to believe

"hate speech" is a crime already so... possibly.

If Star Wars fall, the monopoly falls. The capeshit fad won't last forever or not at the current rate and besides that they only have their usual princess shit.

>literally arresting political dissidents
>Europeans aren't freaking the fuck out and demanding both a release of the political prisoners and an introduction of first amendment-type laws to their own constitutions

why not, they probably have a lot of business offers, public appearances, endorsements etc.

Euros welcome censorship with welcome arms. they literally cannot handle views or words that make them upset

are you posting from your SoCal safe space cmapus?

Checked angry joe because of this, he hated tlj. I dont even think disney have to interact with any of these journalists, they say only racists hate this movie because they feel good about it

can you type out the words "I really fucking hate muslims and want to kill them all" for me right now?

frog and hot water... you know
part of that is the fact that people aren't told what laws are passed unless reporters bring them up and majority of people doesn't bother enough to find it out themself, so it manages to slide through. when "everybody" is tasked with politics, nobody is.
there are still pepiks with based gun laws
here in Poland "hate speech" is barely defined and arresting people for it is absurd, but I can't that for krauts, frogs or bongs (don't know how it is with somalians though)
he went back and forth on the issue

>I really fucking hate muslims and want to kill them all
but to be fair I copy pasted it

t. indefinite detention without trial land

I hope the 30 sandniger muslims the recently gangraped a woman in sweden. An was declared not guilty. Dies of bleeding out of their cut of penis

Norway

>things that never happened

>things that never happened
so they say

A judge stretched out a case for many years, waiting for defendant to declare himself guilty

He could have made a tidy sum out of suing that judge.

can't sue him for acting lawfully

I sent a fake resume to Disney marketing saying I worked for the Omaha Star (no such paper exists) and that I was their new full time movie critic.

Two days later a FedEx arrived at my 'office' at the 'newspaper'. It was every single action figure from TLJ plus four light sabers.

Source, otherwise you're talking out your ass. 6th Amendment guarantees the right to a speedy trial.

have you looked at the "profit" margins of most websites and newspapers. they are dying. You can probably buy of 99% for 1 million dollars. which is nothing for a company as big as Disney

so much projecting

picture of figures and lightsaber?

>17 months
>many years

Who are you trying to fool, user?

did you read that first sentence of my post user? Also didn't you say something about a speedy trial? By all accounts he's still in there

Proof

Ok, i heard it many years ago, im corrected

It's 7am on a sunday Im not going to wake up my kid to prove a point.

Im really looking forward to Ant Man and Wasp (used to read the comics as a kid) so I'm gonna do the same thing with Marvel Studios.

>critic works for IndieWire
>shills for megacorp Disney and their billion dollar franchise

Indie is the new normie

>did you read that first sentence of my post user?

Nigger the post I responded to said
>A judge stretched out a case for many years
>a case
>A CASE

The guy isn't on trial. I asked for a source, and you posted a link to a story about a guy who was jailed for contempt of court. The reason he is jailed indefinitely is because by refusing to open the hard drive, he is committing a crime. He will be released if he stops committing that crime and unlocks the hard drive.

You have posted something that has nothing to do with anything being discussed and are pretending like you've made a point. If he was on trial for a crime, with his guilt not yet determined, you might have a point. But he isn't, because contempt of court works a bit differently.

>by refusing to open the hard drive, he is committing a crime.
that's not a crime. There is a very well established practice that the authorities have to be able to describe in detail the contents of a container before they can compel you to open it. This goes back to the 1700s and opening safes. So far they've said "there might be CP on it". This establishes a dangerous precedent where they can just jail you indefinitely if you refuse to disclose your arbitrary information or even if you forget your password

Fuck off, Mickey.

Wasnt this case i meant anyway.

>So far they've said "there might be CP on it"
>might be

>That's because the appeals court, like the police, agreed that the presence of child porn on his drives was a "foregone conclusion."

>This establishes a dangerous precedent where they can just jail you indefinitely if you refuse to disclose your arbitrary information or even if you forget your password

Read the article. He's not refusing to open it on the grounds that it he can't, or that the contents are irrelevant to the investigation. He's invoking his 5th amendment right against self incrimination.

>refusing to incriminate yourself is a crime, fuck off back to jail

>refusing to incriminate yourself is a crime

Good thing that's not what they're saying. He's pleading the 5th, and they're essentially saying that he's incorrectly invoking that right, and thus is not protected from a contempt of court charge. Since they already know that there is CP on the drive.

To put this in terms we're all familiar with, it's like he's claiming 1st amendment protection for screaming fire in a crowded theater.

>Since they already know that there is CP on the drive.
>they know something but they can't prove it which is why his trial isn't going anywhere
you see how that can be seen as abuse of power?
