That story going around about a rotten egg show that wasn't allowed to be shipped off to a streaming site to die in peace is Inhumans. Higher ups are furious at Ike Perlmutter's handling of the Marvel property and are desperately trying to fix the problem. On top of the show being a completely over bloated disaster the failure to push Inhumans as the new X-Men and inability to fade out X-Men was seen as a massive failure on Perlmutter's part. Disney gave him time to do his thing and the boat is sinking. They've already taken the films away from him and are working on taking the television and comic departments as well. The whole Captain America Hydra thing, which Disney forced a rewrite in at the last minute in hopes to apply some damage control, has been seen as a PR nightmare for Disney. The order to stop company wide events for a year also came from Disney as they hear it is a common complaint and are trying to please fans in hopes to drive up sales. With Ike Perlmutter being such a huge stockholder in Disney they are having difficulty phasing him out. All eyes are on Legacy and Generations to bring Marvel back saleswise and it's Perlmutter's last gamble.
What you can do:
>Don't see Inhumans in theaters and do not watch it live A message needs to be sent that shitty quality programming is not to be rewarded and that Perlmutter's project is not wanted. Disney is working towards mending fences between Sony and Fox to have the MCU include every property and they need to know that is what you want.
>Don't buy Legacy or Generations These are bait titles meant to pull off the illusion of a back to basic Rebirth style event while changing nothing. The problem isn't diversity, it's Marvel's shitty talent and Disney needs to hear that from the fans.

Oh I love LARPing

>The problem isn't diversity, it's Marvel's shitty talent
It's both, user. They've replaced too many major characters at the same time, and it's been going on for years. The Iceman thing shows they'll throw out a character's entire history for the sake of a diversity PR stunt.
Marvel's editors, writers, and some of the artists, particularly those doing costume-designs, all need to be replaced, but they also need to focus on characters that the paying audience wants to read about, rather than trying to force replacements on us.

NO it's diversity.
Other than a few tumblr cucks nobody wants a black female ironman.

it's a symptom not a cause
even if scuttled all the legacies they introduced over the past couple of years from miles to riri tomorrow it wouldn't fix anything.
to fix marvel it would require a complete corporate restructuring following a draining of the talent/editorial swamp.
Christopher Rodriguez
i would read a comic where rhodey got his dick snipped like jenner they could call it iron booty
Ian Gray
I'm not going to do your job for you, (((Disney))).

>Higher ups are furious at Ike Perlmutter's handling of the Marvel property
But Perlmutter is the CEO
he doesn't have "higher ups"
Isaac Rogers
>Please fix our problems for us Fuck off.
Marvel has shit >Comics >Cartoons And on the comics and cartoons board that means I don't give a shit what they do until they fix that.
Landon Mitchell
>draining editorial swamp But the problem with editorial is that there's so few of them yet they're printing way too many different books. Constant editorial mistakes because they're overworked and underpaid (both Ike's fault) and that any editor with a shred of talent would have left for greener pastures. Same with writers for that matter.
The '10s have been the 90s again, but this time instead of it being a decade based on super-star artists who bailed for Image, it's a bunch of writers.
2011 is when Perlmutter did the editorial culling, which led to the poor quality control over their editing and ability to coordinate writers, while writers pretty much did whatever the fuck they wanted. This allowed Bendis to grow fat and complacent and with no one to tell him no did whatever he wanted. You've gotta spend money to make money and Ike refuses to spend money. That's most of Marvel's problems.
Overwork, underpay and bad working conditions in an industry based on creativity will drive away the talent.

>Higher ups are furious at Ike Perlmutter's handling of the Marvel property and are desperately trying to fix the problem
It's never had legs to begin with and everyone at Marvel already knows it. They gave him enough rope to hang himself and he took it.
Like Steve Jobs, he holds a majority share in Marvel that makes it hard to oust him legally. However, Steve had the advantage of not being a war criminal who's avoided being seen in public for the last three decades, and if Disney cared to throw Ike under the bus over that he would probably sell in a heartbeat.
Caleb Davis
>he doesn't have "higher ups" He didn't before he agreed to sell to Disney. Now he does.
Eli Rodriguez
Yeah, he's the CEO of Marvel Entertainment and a major shareholder. The only higher-up is Bob Iger, who was the person that had to step in and take Marvel Studios out of Marvel Entertainment because Feige and the actors wanted to be paid record breaking blockbuster-tier salaries not, 200k no benefits.
Also, Perlmutter is part of Trump's Shadow Council. Being buddies with the president helps.
Henry Thomas
> Ike basically undid everything Shooter built over 9 years in the space of 12 months including sales
Liam Smith
>because Feige and the actors wanted to be paid record breaking blockbuster-tier salaries not, 200k no benefits > implying they were wrong
Jose Thomas
Perlmutter answers to Disney
Connor Baker
No he doesn't. He answers to Bob Iger and Donald Trump. No one else, and if either of them wanted him out then he would be out. Since he isn't then clearly they don't.
Brandon Mitchell
Everyone does really.

This is the cause of many of Marvel's problems. Writers like Bendis are able to push their agendas unchallenged because there's no one there to call them out on bullshit.
It's one of the reasons you get this crass, cringe-making PC idiocy, because there's no quality control.
Ian Collins
eat shit, plenty of people here enjoy it.

>With Ike Perlmutter being such a huge stockholder in Disney they are having difficulty phasing him out.
Which is why he won't go anywhere anytime soon and it's going to affect the chances of newer characters like Kamala, Miles and Sam being on the MCU movies because their creators are big Ike suck ups and Feige doesn't want anything to do with Ike (which is why Ganke in the movies was made into Ned Leeds as to not pay the Bendis).
Jeremiah Ward
I think the ones that need to go are Ike, Alonso, Quesada, Wacker, Loeb and any of the shit higher ups.
With them gone the shit writer problem corrects itself since Bendis and Slott won't be protected anymore and thus forced to either make good stories or GTFO.
Jacob Perry
Marvel actually needs to screen their artists and writers more.
The shit with the recent Gwenpool and that issue of Hellcat with the Bee and Puppycat chick make it obvious that they're more concerned with names rather than quality.
Really, look at DC's lineup in the past year and then look at Marvel's, it's fucking disgusting.
Elijah Russell
Loeb and Wacker are fine. The cartoons are getting better and TV is very successful
Joshua Hernandez
I don't think he was implying that. If Ike hadn't been removed the MCU would be about to collapse with all the actors moving on
