I thought the soundtrack would be trash since Zimmer and Junkie weren't involved, but got a pleasant surprise
youtube.com/watch?v=PmxDWGjnJsk
It actually sounds a lot like Junkie's work. I'm also glad the movie wasn't "anti-men" like the semen slurpers at Sup Forums were claiming, though I guess given the events of present DCEU it couldn't ever have been that

feminist director really made her shine since no guy could have done it better

This is what MoS should have been, really.

Sup Forums is going to eat you alive for this but I agree. You can tell Jenkins spent a lot of time studying Diana. Snyder would have made her into another depressed one dimensional killer.

>Shield and sword
Not 100%

The sword gets destroyed. Now its just lasso and shield

i hated MoS, liked it for a bit, then am deeply disappointed in it after having seen WW

Nah, I still love MoS for what it is. The only thing I hate about the movie is how some of the scenes were obviously rush-edited; an extended cut for MoS would be top tier

Real talk, I'd like to actually enjoy a DCEU movie instead of shitpost endlessly about how bad it was.

Gadot can't act. I've seen BvS, the one Furious movie she was in and Joneses. Is she actually good in this? Like, she somehow learned how to not do pic related?

Also I'm a huge Ruckafag, is there anything from his 2000s run in this movie?

Fucking this. I am so goddamn glad that for once the focus on a strong, independent lead woman was actually done well and RECEIVED well, because usually it's a fucking shitshow.

All movies you mentioned were bad movies. Looks like she needed a competent director.

This has Post-COIE Ares but Diana has her New52 origin (kinda, she's Zeus' daughter, her mother lies to her that she's made from clay).

She still needs to work on her acting but she's not terrible. She does do your pic related alot. I'm starting to think that's just how she naturally looks because she couldn't stop doing it.

She's charming and cute when she's acting naive which is most of the film but a little eh when it comes to serious scenes.

>wasn't anti-men

Thank the lord. Some writers and people nowadays seem to confuse feminism with anti-masculinity. I'm actually excited to see a good movie now.

>MoS doesn't understand the character

>Just because there was a dark tone at times somehow means it wasn't sincere like WW

youtube.com/watch?v=DXAva_gO8Qk

>posts a fucking reaction video

But does she have an ICONIC moment?

and? Is a baby's enjoyment not one of the most sincere things ever? Babies cant fucking lie. But here, more in-movie proof.

Yes

yeah, all it took was Snyder not directing

...

The score was thrash compared to bvs and Mos, but that's only due the fact bvs and Mos had fantastic scores, it's funny sumer name name dbatman didn't got themes, but bvs's wondy song is the best song in the WW movie

hahah you are so right, fuck Superman for letting badguys create collateral damage and not being 100% perfect and avoiding damage like he is in the comics... oh wait....

Superman's battles OFTEN get big and destructive user, read more comics...

Babies are kinda dumb. You can make them smile just by smiling at them.
Anyway, you have a good DCEU movie now. You don't have to pretend anymore.

I know you retards don't get it, but the sword and shield are not just cool bullshit, those are there to make her look really different from superman, all league characters have extremely distinctive features and design styles and that's its a good thing, cyborg thought, looks like shit, becouse they really didn't want to make him look like iron man.

>things get destroyed in a battle of super people

SAY IT AINT SO!

That picture you posted isn't collateral damage.
Collateral damage is third party. This is him attacking the bad guy directly.

Although Zack doesn't know the difference either (his star wars comment) so I can understand your confusion.

we have 3 good ones now

wow you are retarded, pic was related to THIS part of the sentence "not being 100% perfect and avoiding damage"

you a dumb monkey

>hurr durr the movie is bad because a baby liked it

sad...

10k or 100k died in the death of superman arc, 3 millions died in DC one million, people isn't mad at superman, is mad at zack showing destruction porn that everybody loves as something grim and terrible.

>Collateral damage is third party.

No...

"Collateral damage is a general term for deaths, injuries, or other damage inflicted on an unintended target. In American military terminology, it is used for the incidental killing or wounding of non-combatants or damage to non-combatant property during an attack on a legitimate military target."
Collateral damage is any damage done to the unintended target you retard

yes exactly, people cant handle it when a movie actually shows destruction porn as a bad thing with negative consequences.

They want consequence free superhero movies.

>WW
>character
Yeah, her character is so good that a thread about it can be easily taken over by talk about a different character only a few posts in.

...

>"Collateral damage is a general term for deaths, injuries, or other damage inflicted on an unintended target.
...Uh. Yes. Exactly.
And the intended target in the picture I'm replying to is the guy driving that car.
So it's not collateral damage.

Nor is it a problem if he damages a bad guy's shit. It's only when innocent people get hurt that it becomes questionable.

It's not bad because a baby liked it. It's just not good because a baby liked it. It's nothing. It's neutral.

But that's BvS

>It's only when innocent people get hurt that it becomes questionable.

user, this happens all the time. See and read more comics

>implying the rabid haters differentiate between the two

as far as they are concerned its all the same snyder shit

We see Clark breaking an small mountain with his head and not being damaged in first flight, not even his hair moves, I really don't understand what they expect from a fight between two kryptonians. I do believe the kiss should had been less romantic and portrayed as two people seeking confort, that was a problem with Snyder direction and a real valid criticism

She has lasso and bracelets. She doesn't need that shit

>well thats not TECHNICALLY collateral damage....

like that in anyway proves the larger point? You are arguing semantics like a child.

Superman never hurt any civilians in the movies, you dumb ass

>and portrayed as two people seeking confort

But it wasnt just that. They just destroyed the terminating scout ship and are feeling relieved and happy they just saved THE WORLD. People have a hard time with context.

not what im saying user

>DCEUfag can't count

Wonder Woman is one honey.

>"Muh powers have consequences!" meme

Edgy.

>Wow I never thought I'd see a DCEU film that 100% understands it's character.

Wonder Woman are anorexic in comics?
with saggy tits and negative ass?

>he doesnt like MoS and BvS

sad....

>mfw I get to explain WW to cute girl once she sees the movie

nope, not about the powers having consequences, its about alien invaders having consequences you absolute dumbass. And its the opposite of edgy, desu, it shows the PROBLEMS with violence, while edgyness revels in it.

mos and bvs had excellent superman being a hero momentd but thatd not where the problem lie

also i likrd BvS and Mos slightly maybe except.for stop invincible son

MoS is ok. BvS is a pile of garbage and you should feel bad for liking it.

>Daily reminder Lois somehow knew to get the Kryptonite spear to kill Doomsday despite not knowing what the fuck was going on.

Visually distinctive. You are being dense. You are driven by hate m8. This is the right choice, also the sword and shield are her battle mode, just like batman has a normal suit and one armored one, aquaman has the 90s and classic look and a royal armor (like mera), cyborg has a battle mode, and If the guesses of Sup Forums are correct flash will have different colored lightning when he goes ftl. From an artistic and storywise point of view it makes sense and its nice, toy makers love it, and hardcore fans still get mostly classic looks for everyone outside flash and cyborg. Stop bitching.

If it's not collateral then why are you calling it as such?>We see Clark breaking an small mountain with his head and not being damaged in first flight, not even his hair moves, I really don't understand what they expect from a fight between two kryptonians.

That they cancel each other out. Kryptonian versus Kryptonian has always come down to skill and they're able to hurt each other.

>Daily reminder Lois somehow knew to get the Kryptonite spear to kill Doomsday despite not knowing what the fuck was going on.

user are you dumb? Its really not hard to put together logically, especially for the world's greatest reporter.

>hurr durr shit is going down at the alien space ship site
>the same alien space ship that delivered alien invaders who previously escaped the same phantom zone they are currently in
>hmmmm this is probably alien related, i should get the one thing that i know hurts these aliens just in case

I get it if you are dumb user and wouldnt be able to figure that out, but not every character/person is

His character wasn't bad in BvS except for some plot induced stupidity but MoS was pretty shit, not necessarily in the story it was trying to tell but more in how it told it. The actual story beats it was trying to hit were solid, but they either were set up in contrived ways, delivered sloppy, were too ham fisted and too obvious. The actual directing (shaky cam for two people sitting down talking about a serious issue), editing (lens flares and muted colours even when it was supposed to be up lifting, nothing to contrast the dour shit later with) and pacing (the second half of the movie needs to slow down and stop for a bit) were all legit concerns as well. The actual character they were trying to convey was fine and actually has been done and handled well in comics, it just wasn't written well or properly portrayed in the movie.

>death of the dad proving he can't save everyone
Perfect, except done in a shoddy way
>confused talk with no easy answers about when and how to use powers
Great, except the camera can't stop moving, there's lens flare for a serious scene that didn't need anything other than focus on a father to son talk
>Supes has the weight of the world on his shoulders to be this perfect being
Fantastic, Jesus imagery does work here, except it's constantly showed and people in the movie still keep telling him his responsibilities to the world. The Superman film earlier in the 00s despite it's problems actually nailed this a lot better with him out at space looking over the world and his "I hear everything" line.
>is forced to face reality that he can't save everyone and may have to dirty his hands to keep the world safe
This gets not much time to actually set in and not much impact after he initially does it shows on his mind. Also the family literally sitting in one spot and not moving at all was contrived as fuck.

It was more to do with the writing, editing, pacing and directing rather than what they aimed to do with the characterization.

stop invincible son wasnt that bad just poorly executed.

honestly i liked his death better than in the donner movie where pa kent dies for literally no reason and clark doesnt even TRY to save him (and we know he had super speed there)

in MoS we dont know the full extent of his powers at the time and Pa Kent dies to protect his son AND teaches him that all life is worth saving.

Wonder Woman is first DCEU movie where Snyder touched script, but nice try.

>>death of the dad proving he can't save everyone
For lack of trying. That's the real issue.
Clark can fail to save people but he doesn't even try because he's scared. A guy with that much power being controlled by fear isn't a good look.

>user are you dumb? Its really not hard to put together logically, especially for the world's greatest reporter.
This movie asks us to believe the world's greatest detective doesn't think Superman could possibly have a secret identity, despite the fact that he has one himself.

So yeah, the competence of characters is already questionable.

Kryptonnians are as durable as any other flying break with fighting each other, it's just that the bio aura doesn't work. But they don't cancel each other. 2 trucks clashing will still make a mess. When they flight towars space they are moving 300 times faster than sound, even without superstrenght or the bio aura and pretending their denser bodies weight the same as normal humans the mass they would reach at that speed is already huge. Kryptonnians fighting will rekt a city.

he wasnt scared at all, he was listening to his father out of respect. In contrast to the leading up scene where he is like YOU ARE NOT MY REAL DAD mad ISNT listening to him. Its about him trusting and respecting his dad.

Are you so dumb you cant remember what happened immediately before that scene?

That is a fucking jump in logic and you know it. She hasn't even seen Doomsday and knows literally nothing about him.

Fucking Snyderfucks I swear...

>Fantastic, Jesus imagery does work here, except it's constantly showed and people in the movie still keep telling him his responsibilities to the world.

Wow, that was not the point of the jesus imagery. First off there are maybe 2 whole jesus images in BvS, and the point is that people CANT stop comparing Superman to jesus despite him not wanting anything to do with it. Its about how people perceive him, the movie isnt TELLING you he is jesus and it sure as hell isnt shoving the imagery down your throat.
>is forced to face reality that he can't save everyone and may have to dirty his hands to keep the world safe
Again you got it wrong, him killing Zod is a mistake. Its one he made for the right reasons, but it directly leads into the creation of Doomsday and ends up killing Superman showing that even HE cant escape his mistakes. That was the point. That even Superman makes mistakes and isnt perfect.

No, the movie shows you that batman doesn't care about that anymore. He doesn't care about superman origin, he doesn't care about superman as a person, it's easier to kill a faceless monster. Also compare Lex and Bruce, even as a fallen hero Bruce thinks if facing superman, invastigates his weaknesses, meanwhile Lex thinks of using his love ones as tools to hurt him. Is not that batman doesn't think superman may have a family, it's just that it doesn't matter, it's not relevant.

>This movie asks us to believe the world's greatest detective doesn't think Superman could possibly have a secret identity, despite the fact that he has one himself.

There is 0 reason to believe he has one, especially when the other metahumans he observes later in the movie dont seem to have any secret identities either.
This is the same conceit that all comics have to why the MAJORITY of the people in them dont think to investigate secret identities. Most of Superman's villains dont think or care that he has a secret identity.
Read more comics man, this is a central conceit of the genre.
And again, Batman's feelings on Superman are meant to reflect how inhuman he sees Superman. He sees Superman as so detached that he thinks Superman would never WANT a secret identity to be among humans.

Whatever man. Clark's exact words are that he LET his father die. You can doll it up with trust but at the end of the day that's never going to be the same as failing to save him, and therefore should not be regarded as being the same.

additionally, its a projection of Batman's own detachment. Notice that throughout the movie he only refers to himself as Batman, while its everyone else that refers to him as Bruce.

And then notice how after Superman's death, in the JL trailer, he is referring to himself as Bruce again.

>But they don't cancel each other. 2 trucks clashing will still make a mess.
Yes, to the trucks. That's my point
The collateral damage, yeah, that's a thing that happens in cape fights. But the fact that Clark doesn't even get his hair messy is just poor visual language because it ends up looking like he wasn't struggling or getting hurt, just his surroundings.

Which furthers the idea that it's not a good thing. If the civilians are going to suffer the hero needs to as well.

what do you mean? if he failed to act out of fear than that wouldnt be LETTING his father die. "Let" implies he could have stopped it but chose not to, which only supports my point that he was following his father's wishes.

how is it a jump in logic? what other threat should she assume is coming from the KRYPTONIAN ship other than a KRYPTONIAN one?

>"Let" implies he could have stopped it but chose not to
Yes. That's exactly what happened.

He failed to act and LET his father die because he was scared of what might happen. He trusted that his father's fears were justified, and became afraid himself. This isn't hard. I shouldn't have to spoonfeed it to someone that's supposedly so much smarter than me because they liked a crappy movie.

Gal Gadot might not be the best actress in the world but her thighs sold this movie for me.

>hurr durr it didnt make sense to me so it wont make sense to anyone!!

I was actually super relieved when Lois went after the spear. Im tired of characters in movies acting like idiots and lacking basic logic. If I saw some shit going down at the alien crash site, I would sure as hell go get my super alien weakness weapon ready

You are getting it wrong, it's not that Clark doesn't get hurt, it's that zod doesn't get hurt either, if the continued zod would eventually reach the point his skill is enough to beat Clark's superior strength, zod wasn't hurt by a fall from space, there was only one way for a rookie superman to stop him.

Again where are you getting this fear thing from? He did it because he trust and respected his father. This is literally set up RIGHT before where as your fear thing has no support in the movie in any other scene.

Clark wasn't afraid. Pa Kent was rightfully afraid, as shown in BvS, a whole movie that more or less confirms Pa Kent's fears.

why do you keep pushing this "clark was afraid" narrative so hard when you have 0 proof for it? are you projecting?

Should I read Perez or 2000s Rucka first?

She didn't know Doomsday was from the Kryptonian ship you stupid fuck.

And its logical, the Kent were rising the the most important person on earth and wanted their son to be ready for anything he would eventually decide, they didn't had all the right answers. The world reacted exactly as PA though, and as the real world would, superman isn't a celebrity, it's the biggest change of world views since the discovery of fire.

are you retarded? literally the only thing ANYONE knew was that shit was going down AT the kryptonian ship

Perez first

Not him but you have to be autistic to not see the jump in logic you're arguing here.

Then again fans of BvS are autistic so...

how is it a jump in logic? Explain

>hmmm shit is going down at the KRYPTONIAN crash site
>remember these same Kryptonians escaped the phantom zone before
>but no, it would be a jump in logic to try and get the one weapon I know would hurt a kryptonian

you are a dumb person user, it made perfect sense to me

>autism, which is about not recognizing social cues, means you cant into logic apparently
>coming from a person who cant understand basic social cues in regards to threat analysis and survival

really makes you think

>watch movie
>end credits
> co written by Zack Snyder

but WW was the first movie in the DCEU snyder actually wrote....

> Snyder would have made her into another depressed one dimensional killer.

But Superman had exactly one montage and one scene of depression, and it was justified because Senate had been bombed user and people were treating him like a god.

Are you autistic? Can you not understand feelings and social cues? Do you think if a person isnt smiling they must be depressed?

>>Sup Forums is going to eat you alive
>guy doesnt get eaten alive
>instead you get eaten alive because of your shitty opinion
AHAHAAHAHAHAAH

It's a shame they cut some things in the movie, Jenkins is a coward. I'm. Mad about the Irish story.

If Zod is strong enough to survive a fall from space I don't know if I buy a neck snap. Plus, the villain as the underdog does not a thrilling conflict make.

>Pa Kent was rightfully afraid
Right. And trust in fear *is* fear.

>muh realism
>muh no flying cars

If that's true why did his creative decision to have Diana sitting on her boney ass for a century get retconned?

>And trust in fear *is* fear.

Not at all. That is some retarded ass logic. Prove that statement, go give me other examples that prove that, because that is a large philosophical claim you are making. By your logic, anytime a child trusts their parent, and that parent is afraid (even if the child doesnt know it) that child is afraid. Even if that child isnt actually feeling any fear, by your logic, that child is afraid.
Fear is a FEELING user. You cant say X always equals Y feeling. That is some autism level world engagement.

Johns rewrotte everything.

And it's not like Snyder actualy wrotte anything to begin with.

but it didnt get retconned at all? she was still absent from the world stage since WW1.....
