I never really saw why it'd be relevant if he was. Kind of a pointless twist, which is probably why everyone except Ridley seemed to be against it.
yes
who cares
No. People just like forcing themselves to believe he is because they think it makes the movie deep without it being so.
You faggots are real fun at parties
blade runner 2019 heavily implies so, blade runner 2049 implies so in the wallace-deckard dialogue until he throws the "that is, if you were designed" dumbass line to leave it ambiguous.
go to bed ridley
Go to bed Rian Johnson
So you think it's okay to live in ignorance?
Yes, notice that in Las Vegas replicants didn't need rebreathers but humans did.
I think that's the point, there doesn't need to be a direct answer when the question has always been "does it even matter?"
If he is human then it takes away any complexity from the original film so yeah.
I thought it was pretty obvious that he is at this point.
According to the second one, yes. He was made to be a sperm donor.
The whole 'Ridley made it up' canard is a bit strange considering the question of whether Deckard is human or a replicant features very prominently in the novel (albeit in a different context)
no.
there were no humans in Vegas. Your thinking of the trash wastes.
yees
It's not a question Deckard, or anyone else, grapples with in the film, so why should we care?
There were when Luv arrived with them.
No.
It's pretty straight forward in the novel though. Someone places doubt in his mind and he eventually takes the empathy test. It's pretty clear cut in the novel.
Nah, the novel makes it pretty clear he's a human. The entire point is to juxtapose replicants, which are supposed to be emotionless and lack empathy, yet clearly displaying what seems to be these emotions with a human who is suppose to contain these traits, but seems to be killing these people with little remorse or second guessing. That only works with Deckard as a human
They caught Ford and didn't even cut him open. They just asked him where his kid is. If he were a Replicant Wallace would have cut him up immediately to find out about his secret sauce.
Someone came on here the other day and had a theory that the asshole who was folding that oragami was the real original blade runner and his memories were being planted into dickhards brain. Sounds plausble imo
That's a common theory. Gaff a bitch and never caught nothing but a dick.

Now you're using logic and that's something we don't cotton to around these parts.
