What was on the piece of paper?

What was on the piece of paper?

A technical scale drawing of his penis.

Probably something saying goodbye to him.

dickbutt

a poorly drawn penis

If you read this you will disappear

Words of forgiveness which allowed his spirit to rest.

you are soooooooooo gay

It literally doesn’t matter.

Not even the director knows, he said to Rooney to write whatever she thinks is the most appropriate to her character. What matters is that the ghost finally got his closure and the detachment of sentimentality finally happened

That’s what I want to believe

I bet Rooney drew a penis

There was some episode of best of the worst where they joked about making a film where the character is trapped and trying to escape a pretentious art film. That is literally all I can think about with this film

...

A shopping list.

And you are not allowed to use your cell phone to post on a 18+ site from highschool. Yet here we are.

Funny because this is Mike n’ Jay’s favorite of the year.

jack suggested it when they were discussing the movie the jar

"OP is a fag"

Why is this movie suddenly trending? It came out a year ago and bluray months ago

Don't play dumb, pal. Alt Right Media, I mean, RedLetterMedia made a review of it.

Id say you could interpret it two ways

One positive, that she wrote “I will never forget you”. I think this aligns to one of the themes of the movie-legacy-which is explained in the party scene . He lashed out times in the film when he was being disregarded too so the vanishing could imply it put him at rest

But then you got the negative version

The only other ghost in the film realizes his loved ones are never coming back when the house is demolished and vanishes. Our main ghost obviously is holding out hope that his loved one will return and that’s why he stays.

He lasts an entire eternity, then he finds out time is cyclical, and everything is going to happen the same, with him dying, becoming a ghost and her never coming back. He knows this. The director spoke in an interview how the new ghost in the second cycle is naive and the old ghost is more wise.

This is why this time, he doesn’t wait to get the note out of the wall. Did you notice that, that he procrastinated so much in getting it originally? Underneath he knew it wasn’t a note that would provide him with the outcome he wanted. But facing the realization that he’s stuck in a time loop he knows he literally must face it eventually.

I think he already knows what the note says at this point, we get him re-experiencing his girlfriends disdain for the house while he was watching himself with her, mostly ignoring her in his living form. He decides to read the note just in case. It says “I can’t stay here”. He expected it but now fully realizes his life will never come back. He vanishes, just like the ghost next door

1. Why did they time cycle back around after he jumped?
2. Why did the little girl put the note under the rock?

the little girl was the same spirit as maras character, which ties into the cycles that everything goes through

I don't understand. Why didn't she become a ghost and then dissappear when she found closure? Why didn't any of those settlers become ghosts but his neighbor was?

Is that really important? I mean you could come up with some BS explanation if youd like the technicalities of how someone becomes a ghost isnt the point of the film really

Honestly it's kind of important, I just don't know why the movie sets up its own rules and then breaks them. I mean I get the message of the movie but it gets needlessly convoluted

What rules does it break?

You're autistic and gay. I hope you don't become a ghost when you die because an eternity of stupid questions would be hell for the living
Also ghosts can turn invisible so they were there in the background you just couldn't see them DUH

>paper that makes your sheet fall to the floor

So, from reading this thread on the Ghost Story; the end meaning is that reality is a lie, life doesn't matter, there's no hope, and we shouldn't have positive feelings or emotion because everything comes to a end and we simply cease to exist?

>that pic

What the fuck? The Christians were right. There is a war on Christmas.

>Jay and Mike claim to hate comic book movies
>they love a movie based on a comic
Wow, that really made me think.

oh n

I got more "live in the moment, don't worry about the future" message

based

Why are you so upset? You still aren't answering my questions. Why doesn't the girlfriend follow the same rules of becoming a ghost and then dissappearing?

Kek nice

Also the ghost in that comic should be voiced by Demetri Martin. Feels like it would work.

I really liked this film honestly
glad jay recommended it to me

...

Because she didn't die? Why do you have such a hard time comprehending famtasy stories?
"Aahhh help me I'm so fucking retarded please hold my hand through a movie with two lines of dialogue" -you

The movie was sad and comfy.

Kek

Needs to be half-Asian.

A better question is why didn't he try to ghost fuck Roon after he travelled through time?

>the little girl was maras spirit
>because she didn't die
-literally you

Please reread your posts and make a coherent point instead of acting like a child. You're contradicting yourself, just try again, it's not that hard

Not him but you can obviously infer reasons why the settlers might not have become ghosts. When the protag dies, there is clearly a moment where he could have went to the light and moved on but hesitated and missed his chance because he wasn't ready yet, the settlers may have moved on right away because they all died together. Also you could look at it from a Christian angle and say that they had way stronger faith.

this, when I saw the trailers I thought it looked like insufferable hipster vomit but it was really beautiful and melancholy, I loved it.

I honestly can't for the life of me understand what people enjoyed about this film

people with autism can't appreciate it

...

...

I know RLM already said this but the audience reviews for this film seriously make me want to die, when someone puts any stock into an audience review score on Rotten Tomatoes remember that these are the people reviewing.

i'm glad we,the intellectuals in Sup Forums, can appreciate these kinds of movies

If I take that sheet off will you die?

He raises a valid point though, how do we know whether it was Casey under the sheet?

He’s a big guy

They promised.
Also they admitted for some scenes it wasn't(at least according to Wikipedia).
So it probably wasn't for most scenes.
>Hollywood magic!

We don't, but if your opinion of a movie is influenced by "muh favorite actor was under a sheet the whole time" you are a retard.

Imagine if the movie was Casey without the sheet covering him.

Imagine if it was CGI. Stuff like this changes everything.

yeah, it would have been fucking terrible.

casey just standing there expressionless throughout the whole film would've been great

This is literally the only time I've seen people walking out of a movie. Two couples left during the scene where the ghost is throwing shit around the hispanic kids.

I really don't know why, maybe they were expecting a horror flick?

that's what he does every film he is in tho. i mean, the ghost displayed more range of emotions than casey.

interesting. so when he vanishes, does he get to go to the place that was initially offered to him via the hospital portal... or some place more sinister and ambiguous?

rooney said she just wrote 'Boo'

I dropped this 10 minutes into the pie eating scene. If you're going to show Rooney eating pie for 10 minutes at least zoom in so I can see

He was in purgatory for living a sinful life, the paper indicted this punishment was over.
