This is familiar to me and i don't know why. What is this?

It's a game based on the aesthetic of 1930's cartoons.

youtube.com/watch?v=VpNliHYWI2g

I already got my posable Jenny figurine. What other nostalgic Sup Forums-ish garbage is going to come out?

Oh okay. One month after Kiwami. Maybe I'll be done by then

MY PROUDEST BONER

Well it was about time, how long it's been 3 years, i wondr if it has something to do with that other rubberhouse animation game, the one with the ink demon

Badass trailer.

>playing platformers
>waiting like 5 years for platformers
lol, no thanks

CUPHEAD IS FINALLY FUCKING COMING???

It's been 1000 years...

Fucking finally. I'm gonna pay top dollar for this. We need more games like this.

Still XBOX exclusive?

You will be able to play it on any low end PC.

>don't have an x1
>computer is a toaster that would rather set itself on fire than run any sort of game

Well I'm fucked.

Like NITW level? Or is Cuphead a little more than that?

>inb4 DELAYED

Probably more than that. More animations and much more action on screen.

Is it still nothing but a string of boss fights?

IIRC a big part of the delay was adding proper platforming levels.

Nah, Bendy and the Ink Machine's just an indie horror game that became extremely popular for some reason. Cuphead is a sidescrolling platformer with heavy focus on boss battles.

One is very little gameplay, the other is nothing but.

Am I being punked?

>dat sweet sweet Fleischer artstyle
My dick is literal diamonds

>boss fights are usually the weakest part of any platforming game
>let's make a boss rush game
>okay, shit, there's nothing there so let's half-ass some platforming
I mean it LOOKS nice but that's all it seems to have going for it.

That fucking soundtrack, man.

youtube.com/watch?v=4KAGY35Tv9k

>Wasting those quads and not stating the obvious
Is because of markiplier pewdiepie and the likes playing it, same with FNaF or any other indie softcore horror game out there

Oh finally, is like someone finally stopped squeezing my balls
youtube.com/watch?v=cMt27Jk36K8

>tfw not much into bullet hell stuff
>don't have friends
>love the style
fuck.

About damn time. Hope its a decent single player experience.

Meanwhile, Super Lucky's Tale is gonna get soooooo much porn.

You don't need to play two player.

>YFW when you own all the consoles because your not a stupid retarded who doesn't get caught up in console wars and just plays games for fun.

rich cunt

I don't have an Xbone because it's legitimately pointless. I get what I need from having a good, but becoming outdated, PC I built just for gaming, a PS4, and a Wii U which I mostly bought to play old Wii games that I missed.

So the ink game is going to have a huge cancerous fanbase and tons of porn?

And AU's don't forget that,
It already has one now, it's pretty mellow but is there.
For what I've seen, people want to give the ink demon some drama and a deep convoluted lore for now since the game is episodic and we're just two chapters in.
I haven't really stumbled upon porn.
Yet.
Taking in count we have a mickey mouse expy a faceless grandpa for a protagonist, a masked cultist, a goofy expy and only one female character that may or not may be in the next chapter.

4x lp vinyl up for pre order as well

I was expecting so after the delays.
Their ost sounds just too good for a digital release only.

this is going to be a good fight i hope

I think it was mostly people complaining that it was going to just be a boss rush game, so they delayed it to make actual platforming stages.

...

...

OPTIC BLAST!

That never stopped the fnaf guys, if the creator play his cards well, he can make a lot of money from autism kids, from what i hear the Bendy creator was a failed animator who never got into the industry, i'm talking about the guy that created the game not the in game animator...Did this guymake a game about his failed pilot pitching?

For whatever reason I'm getting Dynamite Headdy vibes.

It's already been out for like 2 years, senpai. It was a Cockulus launch title.

I don't know the background of the creator really, just what I've seen of the fandom on close inspection.
Well he already is creating a game in parts for some bucks and an hour or so of gaming
the first part is currently free too so to lure new players in.
I say he's really gonna make it in a few months if the youtubers lend him their fanbase and the living tombstone keeps making meme music.

I would subscribe to that artist's blog. They look like they know what's up.

Damn, that does look pretty neat. Wouldn't be the first time I've bought a game based on art alone. I've bought Shelter, like, three times, actually.

Well, this'll definitely raise awareness at least.

Lucky is pretty damn cute, I must admit.

It looks like generic furrybait

>vinyl soundtrack
this is next level time travel

Shits cyclical.

The 2020s will open with a new fondness for cassette tapes.

It also looks like they are 78 RPM records, that just makes it extra crazy and difficult to get a hold of something to listen them.

Specifically, the East Coast style of the Fleischer brothers, rather than the West Coast style of Disney.

>youtubers lend him their fanbase and the living tombstone keeps making meme music.
That guys is like the shadman of online musicians he makes content of eveything that is currently popular

Gonna be some good porn at least

Everything gets a vinyl soundtrack these days.

how out of the loop are you? vinyl's been back for over 15 years an cassettes for like 10. there are thousands of labels releasing tapes and vinyl every day. mainstream companies hopped on the trend like 5 years ago.

>That one movement that the flower boss makes is literally a shout out to Swing your Sinners from he Bimbo cartoons
Oh my heart

Kill yourself.

Vinyl, I knew of. Barnes and Noble has whole sections of them.

Cassettes must have slipped by me somehow.

Cassette releases are for super hipsters. There's no reason to spend money on cassette. You're basically wasting money if you want to actually listen to it.

Cassettes do still happen, but it's a way more niche market. I've only seen a couple of labels distributing in those, especially vaporwave stuff.

I mean, shut the fuck up Boco

>xbox play anywhere title for xbone and windows 10

does that mean it will use the UWP shit with no Steam release, only the windows store one?

I won't bother buying it if it does.

Ori and the Blind Forest eventually came to Steam, this might too.

>vinyl's been back for over 15 years

No, vinyl has always been around as a niche, they had a box of vinyls in cd stores even back in the 90s and 00s. It's just gotten more exposure in the past 15 years because everything got more exposure due to the internet making it easy.

The people who still buy vinyl today are either hipsters, or older people who grew up with it and genuinely like them. I know a guy who is actually into reel-to-reel tape because that's what he had as a kid, even transferring a FLAC to those tapes sounds great to him.

this argument straight from 2007 is pretty cool, you're a cool guy.

and cassettes are about collecting stuff. you could argue you're a moron for buying anything when a digital option available. you'd be wrong.
vaporwave, as usual is just copying everyone else. just because (You) only notice vaporwave releases on cassette (probably because you only listen to garbage) doesn't mean there aren't thousands of labels for hundreds of styles putting out tapes.
>hipsters
vinyl sounds better, it's prettier than a cd, a tape, and especially a fucking hard drive. FLAC is the real bullshit because 99% of people can't distinguish FLAC from 320kbps mp3. and that guy is autistic.

follow up, honest question: why do nerds always call everything not geeky "hipster"?

>I don't know the background of the creator really
The creator's been making webcomics about game development for a couple of years (pic related). He had a failed Kickstarter for his previous game idea, and has released a couple of other games that all suck. He recently quit his day job to become a full-time indie dev, banking on Bendy and the Ink Machine making money. He's got another guy doing all the programming for him now, so my guess it he's a full-time idea/art/shill guy now.

>you could argue you're a moron for buying anything when a digital option available
No you can only argue for buying a little piece of plastic if you're buying cassette because if you actually want to listen to it you will eventually destroy it.

Was this cartoon the inspiration for Banjo Kazooie?

are you retarded? i just said it's for collecting. having a physical version of whatever the release is. most, if not all, tapes include a digital download code. and to destroy a tape you'd have to literally listen to it thousands of times on a shitty player.

Then I'm glad I only follow the animator. I hate low carb The Oatmeal and I don't like this shit either.
I thought the Meatly was how the team was called as a whole, not just the creator. Never looked too much into it.

...

>vinyl sounds better

No it doesn't. Not unless you own a stupidly high end set with extreme dust prevention. And then I can get a 24bit 96KHz DVDA or Bluray release which is technically on par but also in 5.1.

The one single thing that can make vinyl better than CD is the fact that the authors mastered their vinyl releases without extreme dynamic compression prevalent on CDs. But I'm fairly sure that nobody bothers with that shit anymore since everything is mastered digitally today.

I give you that Vinyl looks better, if by that you mean the CD artwork. Shit is fucking gorgeous. But then, a digital release can come with high res artwork today, that exceeds the print resolution of vinyls.

Heck, once I saw a disc that had a *pixelated* cover and booklet, as if it was printed from low res jpegs. This was an actual retail CD.

>FLAC is the real bullshit

FLAC is archival quality. I use it because I have the space, and so I can recompress anything for anyone should I ever need to. And because sometimes there are idiotic encoder bugs or bad ripping to get around, and with 100% logchecked FLAC rips, I don't have to worry about that. I don't have to worry if some weird sounding acoustics are due to mp3 compression or if it is like that on the CD. It's as if I was listening to the physical CD.

>why do nerds always call everything not geeky "hipster"?

Because hipsters like you think vinyl sounds "better" while saying that FLAC is bullshit because they cant tell them apart from MP3, proving that you can't even tell if vinyl sounds better.

>vinyl sounds better
Than what? A cassette? Sure. A CD? Not really. A FLAC file? Hell no.

>But then, a digital release can come with high res artwork today
Not that guy but it doesn't compare. Holding a vinyl folder with a booklet and art is miles better than having a folder on your computer with the same stuff. People just feel like a tangible thing is worth more.

>nothing sounds better than FLAC
>CD is better than vinyl

wow. just wow. this is why everyone hates millennials.

>themeatly talking shit when they are in Bendy's Ink Machine.

>scratchy bumpy skipping vinyl is better than crystal clear audio
And this is why people hate hippies.

This boss is a fucking cutie

...

...

>crystal clear

my. sides.

you probably own a pair of beats by dre. or skullcandy.

You DO know that there is no physical advantage to vinyl if there's a AD conversion at any point during recording, right? You ARE aware that literally every recording studio records digitally and has been for at least twenty years? Even reissued vinyls of old analog recordings are usually made from digitally archived audio masters, and not the original analog masters. The only possible advantage vinyl could have are original vinyls based off of songs recorded with purely analog recording chains, and any new vinyls made today are for nostalgiafags who don't understand that the difference is all in their heads.

Relevant.

>Did this guymake a game about his failed pilot pitching?

If he did, I wish him luck on it.

>pre-orders

Away with you, marketing shill

I'm turned off by the creator's attitude towards the artstyle, it's the equivalent of every highschooler being pretentious about liking "real music" like the Beatles.

vinyl adds warmth to the recording, in a decent setup, not even audiophile, just good speakers, it's fucking obvious how much better it sounds compared to fucking FLAC or CD. how it was recorded means shit to the fact that you're listening on analog equipment and the way it reproduces the sound is different.

keep getting angry you poor dumbass, enjoy your pirated FLACs and mp3s while i grow my vinyl collection that will only be more valuable with time.

Please learn how to make gifs

>vinyl adds warmth to the recording, in a decent setup, not even audiophile, just good speakers
Good speakers add quality to any recording.

>how it was recorded means shit to the fact that you're listening on analog equipment
Vinyl as an analog medium means jack shit if you feed it with the harsh transients of digital recordings.

>Good speakers add quality

i'm done. you have no idea what you're saying. bad speakers will ruin quality. good speakers will do nothing. it's the source what's important.

What the fuck are you talking about? Good speakers will enhance frequencies to make for a more pleasurable listening experience. Recordings are purposefully mixed in a way to sound good on a variety of systems, good speakers take those baseline recordings to a higher level. No consumer speaker just flatly reproduces the audio, that's what studio monitors are for.

It never surprises me when there is better video game discussion outside of Sup Forums

The cuphead thread is almost all about exclusivity or whatever

Sup Forums does tv better than Sup Forums and video games better than Sup Forums. It was even better before the influx of Sup Forums posters that invaded every board.

>good speakers will do nothing
For somebody who says somebody else has no idea what they're talking about, it's clear you don't understand the first thing about audio. Speakers are everything when it comes to sound quality.

No
No it wasn't
