The Samaritan.
Apollo and Billy
>Captain Marvel on that list
DELET THIS
What about homelander
Yeah, these two definitely.
Also, Captain Marvel being a superman expy, what?
> Mar-Vell
Doesn't belong
Sun God should be on there instead of Marr Vel
>Captain Marvel being a superman expy, what?
Captain Marvel was a Superman copy for Fawcett Comics
GA
Pretty sure he's talking about the Marvel version of Captain Marvel, named Mar-Vell
Is Mar-Vell really a Superman expy?
> Jms's Hyperion
> Hickman's Hyperion
And Mr Majestic seems cool.
The Plutonian
Malibu's Prime has always been one of my favorite Not-Superman guys.
He's more of a Captain Marvel by way of Hulk expy, but he plays the Superman role in universe. He presents an interesting take in that he is literally a child in a super powered body with no added wisdom or maturity, and it justifies why he's huge like X-bawks because he thinks its cool.
What really gets me about him is his actual arc from being a kid playing hero and fucking it, to an angry teen going through a rebellious phase, to finally maturing and deciding for himself to be a proper hero. Really great stuff.
I wish there was some way to revive this character but Marvel buried Malibu and with all the characters being creator owned, they can't use them without consent.
Omniman.
...
The Samaritan and Hyperion. Mostly because The Samaritan is the only interesting reversal of the superman trope and Hyperion is just so foreign in the Marvel universe.
all the characters are better than the characters they were based on
>no captain atom
>not thor
>Mar vell
>bizarro
I like all of them.
...
Wundarr is Jesus though
His origin is a pastiche of Superman. He didn't become Jesus for a while.
What the hell ever happened to Eradicator?
What the fuck is wrong with him? His limbs are wider than his torso.
Is his superpower getting his hair to do that?
>Stardust
Jesus please no. I'd rather the Plutonian walked in on me fucking his wife.
He's in the first arc of Superman: Rebirth and the current arc of Action Comics
He was used as a villain right at the beginning of rebirth, user
Ethan Edwards/Virtue
Also my favorite Skrull
I've been away for awhile. I need to catch up.
Is Rebirth Supe better than NĂ¼-52?
The Mighty Man of Molecules, Megaton Man, of course!
MiracleMan
>His limbs are wider than his torso.
Apparently that's the joke. Like Captain Marvel he's a kid who turns into a super powered adult, except this kid makes himself turn into a hero with 90's anatomy
He popped up in the last page of Suicide Squad last issue. If you can stop staring at Zods ass for a second you can see him on the cover of that picture that's been floating around.
That's a low bar, but basically Superman has regressed into his most vanilla form, and reader interest is kept up with his "Oh Geez Adorable" Superson and his adoring wife Lois.
It's fine if you are really dedicated to reading Superman for whatever reason. Reheating and serving Superman's rogues again, of course.
WOOO!
I wasn't a fan of superbro and love superdad so I think it's better
Miracleman is a Shazam/Cpt Marvel Expy.
what kind of SJW wrote this shit
>An alien with super powers who came to Earth and became its protector as well as the whole universe.
I say so
It's a deconstruction, fagman
It's a satire of the Silver Age, you twat.
And who is Captain Marvel an expy to again?
Here's a new question??
define "Expy"
Modern Superman is an expy of Captain Marvel, not the other way around.
DC bought the more popular Capt Marvel Comics, gave hopping Superman his flight power, and shelved Cap so they could push their guy.
Without being gay, please.
One of the sanest characters in his series.
>being gay
>tvtropes
Okay, I'll spoonfeed you.
An expy is a deliberate imitation of another character.
At that point Superman was an angry alien menace, jumping over shit and wrecking the cars of whoever affronted him or "his woman".
Billy was the kid friendly flying miracle-guy with a good attitude.
>tvtropes
>not being gay
Dude, it's as gay as Titan Men.
The body was made from weird green slime that came out of the kid's pores and formed into an adult hero body. He could make it look like whatever he wanted and his stalwart hero design involved ginormous arms like that.
He later made other versions with edgy tattoos, a weird albino space variant etc.
Same.
>An expy is a deliberate imitation of another character.
Does anyone know the origins of that term?
exported character -> expy
This needs to be updated.
>Stardust, The Super Wizard is more feared than the insane genocidal maniac.
Holy shit.
The Plutonian will just kill you and everyone you love.
Stardust is cruel.
Supreme.
How is this even a question? Moore's Supreme is the greatest Superman story ever told, better than All-Star Superman.
Too bad it doesn't have an ending.
>Moore's Supreme
Is that the "Supreme: story of the year" thing? I tried to find it a few weeks ago with no success.
Senpai, Designated Dave literally just storytimed it.
Not the best, but I'm a personal fan of Scientist Superman
...
Welp, time for a read.
...
Would Dr Manhattan and Martian Girl fit here?
1. Captain Marvel/Shazam
2. Dynasty from Pantheon (pic related, she the woman with the white bodysuit and red cape)
3. Sentry (but only as he appeared in the 1st MK series)
4. Supreme Power Hyperion
5.
It truly is, and it's my favorite Alan Moore story.
I wonder how he'd feel about that, if I told him?
