What is she, /swco/?

Second for the most beautiful grand admiral

What does SDSD stand for? Super Duper Star Destroyer?

Would you?

I think something interesting to think about is the way Vader was turned to the light side, or specifically, the way he was convinced to destroy the Empire. Vader had spent years in an environment of horrorible moral actions like slavery and living under the Sith code. I think if you live in that sort of an environment, even if you embrace it at first, you eventually grow succeptable to wanting to see that environment destroyed given very strategic nudges from your enemies (one of the first Jedi Vader has seen in years, who is also his long lost son, trying to convince him to destroy the Empire). However you have to wonder if periodically over the years Vader's friends and family (Kenobi, Ahsoka, Beru, Owen, Luke) surrendered themselves and tried to truly convince him to turn to the light, if he would grow a resistence to this type of convincing and eventually when Luke is being electrocuted by the Emperor if Vader would allow him to get killed. If Vader hadn't starved himself of the light for such a long time, would Luke's allure work on him?

1/2

By the way here's a comparison of an Imperium-class with the Death Star.

...

This is what makes Kylo Ren interesting to me, because he uses the dark and light side (but for nefarious reasons). When Kylo was faced with a similar situation as Vader (replace the son with a father) he was desensitized to the light side and ended up killing Han. Kylo is dangerous because he's taken what he percieves to be a moral high ground where the allure of the dark and light side can't convince him to make such drastic, galaxy changing decisions because he's more devoted to the First Order as an ideology and will very carefully use both the dark and light side to see that his ideology survives and conquers the galaxy. This makes me think of the 'Light. Darkness. Balance.' 'It's so much bigger.' quote from The Last Jedi's trailer. Luke has realized that it's only rational to see the dark and light side as two extremes that make people commit irrational behavior that in the long term may have horrible effects for the galaxy. Hell what 'dark' and 'light' even means has a million different meanings to a million different people. He has in a way learned from Kylo. Instead of worrying about 'light' 'dark' or even 'balance' (in the sense of EU Gray Jedi) you should worry about your actual ideology and actions and whether they serve the galaxy or yourself. Basically get to the very core of what it means to be a Jedi and Sith and start from there instead of worrying about prophecies made by ancient people in ancient times when their morality was drastically different from yours.

2/3

Why didn't the empire just build a bunch of big star destroyers? That'd make them super mobile and still have giant space stations. Was it really just so they could blow up planets?

I'm worried about if Episode IX will be good or not.

Whoops fucked that up.

A very similar argument could be made for the New Republic and their fears of Empire-like policies instead of worrying about the very core of a law which is whether it serves the people or the elite. A Stormtrooper helmet doesn't make someone evil, the person wearing that helmet executing a village of innocent people makes someone evil. Someone questioning the light side and whether the Jedi and New Republic are actually doing what they're meant to be doing isn't evil, that person joining a genocidal dictatorship and executing innocent people is evil. Vader was evil because he was selfish and wanted infinite power to sort of parallel brutal dictators like Benito Mussolini were evil because they serve themselves and want infinite power. However this isn't the only type of evil. Kylo Ren is evil because he serves not himself, but a brutal system that harms the innocent similar to how ISIS is evil because they serve a brutal system that harms the innocent. Kylo Ren isn't a Sith however he's equally as evil as them for different reasons. Rey isn't yet a Jedi however she has the potential to be equally as good as one for different reasons too and this is the lesson Luke is trying to teach her in The Last Jedi.

tl;dr: 'GRAY JEDI XDXDXD' shit likely isn't being canonized in The Last Jedi. Expect /swg/ to turn into Twin Peaks General on Sup Forums when normies get confused by the moral questions brought up in The Last Jedi except replace 'LYNCHED' with 'RIAN'D'

>the eu can eat my ass holy shit.jpg
user, you understand the imperium isn't a real thing right?

Rumor is Rex is the clone announcer for BF2...still hoping he's playable.

The Imperium isn't real, stupid.

What if the republic had been a kingdom or a benevolent empire?
How would Sheev's plan change if he had to take down a previews monarch?
Ho will the galaxy and its politics be different?

The clone announcer for BF2 could be quite literally anyone.

I'm hoping for an older Rex so that they can put him on Endor in the singleplayer storyline.

*with rank
Hoping it's a clone we know at least.

So Inferno Squad cantorch him?
No thanks...

Boba escaping the Sarlacc when?

...

never

That seems wrong. The Executor is a spec compared to the Death Star. If that image's scaling was accurate, the Executor would be able to take up maybe 1/20th of the disc's visual surface.

>Why didn't the empire just build a bunch of big star destroyers?
They built 12 Executor class Star Destroyers if I'm remembering correctly. And Death Stars were mobile as well (designed to be). We know for fact they have hyperdrives. Or, well, the first one did. Second one probably didn't get it installed yet.

You lack vision, user. You've plenty of Visicalc, however.

It's been hinted at already. Well, his armor survived at least.

...

Depending on it's anatomy and Jawas, who knows.

If they pulled him out, that could be like pulling someone off of life support. And Jawas don't exactly seem like the philanthropic/merciful type to me. If Boba was alive, they probably smothered him so they could take his gear.

>40k spaceship design.jpg

If you think that Kylo's usage of dark and "light" side does anything but fuck him up, you weren't watching the movie. All it does is tear him apart and he's more conflicted than ever in TLJ. It won't boost him to taking over the galaxy.

Snoke wants Kylo to be a focal point of light and dark but Kylo can't handle it. Also, we don't know exactly what Kylo's motivations or reasons are, are or who he's doing them for or the real reason why.

...

>that's a story for another time

No. But not for lack of trying.

Is she alive or ded?

Every thread, I check the image, hoping it will be something else.

It never is.

Alive

...

She Schrödinger's Togruta.

We just don't know.

>Maul was more valuable than Dooku

That was always known. Sidious put decades into Maul and intended for him to be his successor. Dooku was always a placeholder that was meant to pick up where Maul left off and do what he was meant to.

Sidious just lucked out and came across Anakin.

She's Snoke, Plagueis, Revan, the Vong (all of them) and that one guy from ROTJ who kamikazes.

Based Rex

>she's Snoke
I WANT TO BELIEVE

If a queen: Marry her, have a kid, engineer her death and the deaths of many other potential claimants to the throne at some social gathering which just so happened to be bombed by "insurgents." Sheev was, luckily, at home taking care of their baby son. Who is both too young to make executive decisions, leaving Sheev the regent, and under Sheev's total control, which would probably make him Sheev's new apprentice. Sheev would use the "insurgency" - engineered by sheev, of course - to enact a stricter regime, slowly turning the peaceful kingdom into an oppressive one.

If a King: Become his favorite advisor, wait for him to have a child, make friends with the child and engineer a similar event, only with the child being a bit older, so that the child could demand that Sheev remain by his side.

Who are Rey's parents?

Jaina Solo and Trioculus

Luke and Aphra

Triclops, Trioculus, and Irek Ismaren

I want her to be dead.

Can Rian Johnson save the ST?

He can save Episode VIII, but I have less faith in IX.

Reminder

ARF Troopers are best troopers

youtube.com/watch?v=VhsVF-24Ank

I always liked these 2 clones in that episode barely spoke and got results. Hell one fucking punched a commando droid

Sarlacc pit and Boba Fett.

Jabba and Salacious B Crumb

...and somehow I spaced on the season premiere of Freemaker Adventures

>commando droid just fucking throws another droid at them

...

I hope the ARF helmet is a option for the clone specialist class

They did mention they way they're gonna milk money out of BFII is through cosmetics.

Clone, Rebel, and Resistance customization is gonna be easy. What I'm wondering is how they're going to handle Separatist, Imperial, and First Order customization.

I was just hoping it would be the skin for when you spawn in as the AT-RT, but from the Beta it didn't look like that is the case

>GET THAT MOTHER FUCKIN BRIDGE BACK ONLINE
>SIR YES SIR

Did Windu have a nigga moment?

>tfw we will not get a sw rts anytime soon

Maybe it's for the best. If we did, it would probably be for mobile

Man I wish TCW had more Windu

The other Windu episode was that shitty Bobba Fett Revenge arc

You can exit vehicles, so I doubt they'll be vehicle specific skins.

>thicc
Disgusting

Ahh that makes sense then, fair enough. Hopefully it will be a customization skin then

I liked that arc. It was firmly setting up the "Boba fails in everything" Star Wars tradition. Also don't forget his Jar Jar bro-op

I want a canon remake of Empire at War, it's my like #3 Star Wars dream.

Besides arent these AT-RT troopers?

>"Boba fails in everything" Star Wars tradition
???

ARF troopers turn into those guys. You can see the ARF troopers in AT-RTs on Umbara with those cheek flaps.

Those are 41st legion AT-RT troopers. The ones we see in other legions vary.

>Failed to kill Obi-Wan
>Watched daddy die like a cuck (Press F to pay respects to our nigga Jango, he's the REAL bounty hunting legend)
>Failed to kill Windu like 4 times
>Failed to deliver the jailbait to the king, even with an entire team helmping him
>Tied up like a cuck and had his boipussy ripped open by the king
>Had the Slave I stolen and re-painted by Hondo
>NEVER repainted, instead trying to match his armor to the new colors (Holy shit Boba is cucked beyond belief)
>starts wearing shitty hand-me-down mandalorian armor because his daddy did
>Failed to capture Skywalker (getting knocked out in the process)
>Gets talked down to by Vader in a line-up of bounty hunters because of his reckless inexperienced behaviour in the past
>Literally hid in trash to track Solo
>Doesn't even capture Solo, Vader does all the work
>Fucks around on a shithole planet until he is knocked into a sand vagina (literally flailing and screaming like a little girl as he dies)
>armor is stolen from the sand vagina by Jawa's and sold to some guy who actually uses it to protect his people.

And that's the entire canon life of Boba Fett. The only remote thing of "badass" he ever did was possibly, maybe kill Cad Bane, and he got shot in the fucking face doing that.

Which species has the best dick sucking lips?

...

>Failed to capture Skywalker (getting knocked out in the process)
>he is knocked into a sand vagina (literally flailing and screaming like a little girl as he dies)
And in both of these cases, he was defeated by a literally blind opponent.

Pa'lowick

Literally made to suck cock

Isn't it obvious

this greentext story seems awfully hyperbolic, featuring several lies of omission and a fundamental inability to suspend disbelief
>defeated by plot armor so he's shit
by that logic basically everybody is a failure

Tell me where I lied? Sure I played it up for laughs, but everything there is 100% canon, except for Boba getting anal raped.

>p-plot armor
Plenty of villains in Star Wars have had plenty of victories that elevate them to some kind of threatening level. Boba has not had this. He just has "cool armor" and that's it.

...

a lie of omission, i.e. cherrypicking, in the noticeable failure to include the unfinished story arc previewed at celebration, his successful destruction of a Venator star destroyer and the kidnapping of its command staff, and whatever unseen means whereby he got to that point from AOTC, whatever unseen means whereby he escaped from prison to become the leader of a bounty hunting group, whatever unseen means whereby he reacquired Mandalorian armor and Slave I, whatever unseen means whereby he escapes the sarlacc

>unseen memes
That's the problem. For all we know maybe he just kept getting lucky without actually being able to do shit by himself

>Boba has not had this
Boba has had years of that. Even if you don't count EU stuff (which really doesn't make sense because even if it isn't canon it's extremely important as far as defining the smuggling/bounty hunter aspects of Star Wars that were barely shown in the movies) canon shows him brutally hunt down information on Luke Skywalker and nearly assassinate the head of the Jedi Order when he was a teenager (oh but I forgot he didn't kill those characters who had plot armor due to appearing in later media therefore Boba is a big retarded baby who sucks at everything). Hell last month they revealed that Boba killed the best bounty hunter in the galaxy when he was like 13.

AHSOKA LIVES

>in the noticeable failure to include the unfinished story arc previewed at celebration
I mentioned at the end of my post that the most notable thing he did was kill Cad Bane, which was from the unfinished episode. And even then, we don't know if Bane actually died, AND Boba gets shot in the FACE in the process.

>his successful destruction of a Venator star destroyer and the kidnapping of its command staff
With the help of Aurra and Bossk, with the intention to kill Mace, which he fails to do.

>unseen means whereby he got to that point from AOTC
>unseen means whereby he escaped from prison to become the leader of a bounty hunting group
>unseen means whereby he reacquired Mandalorian armor and Slave I
>unseen means whereby he escapes the sarlacc
So... all stuff we haven't seen? Boba is cool because he MIGHT have done cool stuff, we just don't know yet? Really?

>brutally hunt down information on Luke Skywalker
He failed to get anything more than a name, and he is comically knocked out by a box while Luke was blind. He brutally tortured a teenager for a name, big deal. Everything that came after that scene was hilarious, and at the expense of Boba.

>nearly assassinate the head of the Jedi Order when he was a teenager
Nearly is the key word there m8

>(oh but I forgot he didn't kill those characters who had plot armor due to appearing in later media therefore Boba is a big retarded baby who sucks at everything)
I'm not saying that. I'm saying that so far in canon, yes, he has done nothing but fail, even more so than any other major villain (except Phasma, fuck her)

If you want to chalk that up to plot armored heroes, you can. But that doesn't change anything, because until he starts succeeding against someone, plot armored or not, he is only going to be seen as a jobber.

>last month they revealed that Boba killed the best bounty hunter in the galaxy when he was like 13.
???

why are you stuttering? are you a child? or are you perhaps on the wrong board?
Bringing up legends content is a bad excuse, and while I agree he's not shown to be hyper-competent invincible mary sue (totally better than those big dumb meanie goody two shoes jedi *tips fedora*) god of the universe tier like he was, I feel like he's gotten a fair shake as far as it's possible for villains to do. People just seem to be exaggerating his newly downplayed (and far more realistic) abilities as a form of anti-EU contrarianism. Not that the EU itself doesn't deserve it, but canon content doesn't.

It's kind of like exaggerating Lando as a jerkass pedophiliac man-whore instead of badass smooth black Han of power, wealth, sophistication, and respectability, just because all we have of him now is ESB, ROTJ, a couple episodes of Rebels, and the Lando comic.

wh-why are you sending me to the animals board, user?

It's extremely obvious to tell the intention of the writers when you have this guy who fans know as the best bounty hunter of the OT era and they keep implying that he's been doing very impressive stuff which builds up to an arc where he kills the best bounty hunter of the PT era.

Boba was killed off in the way he was because of the intended viewers of the movie he was killed in are children and he wasn't the main villain meaning that Lucas didn't care enough about the character to kill him in some crazy way. It's extremely obvious that while Lucas might not understand it, everyone else making TCW and the current canon like the idea of Boba being one of the best bounty hunters in his expanded backstory that sadly has to sit beside a 1980s childrens movie where he comically dies.

>fight to the death
>boba gets shot in the face
>boba appears in future content
>cad bane does not
>in other words boba fett was badass enough to survive a blaster bolt to the face
really gets the noggin joggin...

>With the help of Aurra and Bossk, with the intention to kill Mace, which he fails to do.
>it doesn't count if he doesn't succeed all by himself and break through plot armor
there's really no point in arguing with such an idiot justification as that, I don't know how you can tolerate watching the prequels knowing Dooku and Plo Koon must die

>I linked to Animals & Nature instead of Anime & Manga
just fuck my shit up senpai

His armor was badass enough, not him.

I'm not even a fan of Boba Fett but the Boba hate on here is retarded as fuck. Something about it just seems very disingenuous. Like obviously Boba is supposed to be this competent character but due to a few silly appearances in a movie for kids and a show when he was still learning the ropes (while doing a pretty good job for a 10 year old) people act like he's a literal joke character like Deadpool or something.

Most of the time we're downplaying Boba for laughs because;

A) We don't like Boba
B) We don't like his fanboys
C) We just find it funny
or
D) We're glad other characters/bounty hunters are getting a spotlight because Boba was an overrated Gary Stu in Legends

But you also can't deny that Boba IS pretty pathetic in canon, he hasn't done NEARLY enough to justify his supposed reputation. Vader fights characters with plot armor all the time, but he isn't forced to job to them. Nor is Sideous. Nor Dooku. Even Maul had a bunch of victories, even though he jobbed quite a bit.

But Boba has literally nothing, and he hasn't even done anything impressive against some literally who's, let alone characters that matter.

Except, admittedly, Cad Bane.

I already said that Boba's showdown with Bane is an exception, and it could be the start to Boba actually becoming more than just a joke. I'm not against good Boba stories user, we just haven't had any yet. He's outshined or humiliated in every appearance he makes.

>there's really no point in arguing with such an idiot justification as that, I don't know how you can tolerate watching the prequels knowing Dooku and Plo Koon must die
Also that's not what I am saying at all. I wasn't expecting Boba to actually fucking kill Mace.

But if they wanted to promote Boba in a more positive way, they could tell stories in which Boba actually succeeds at something, instead of always writing him into situations where he has to lose.

Maul absolutely destroyed Obi-Wan, he got his revenge in Season 5, despite it being a story where Maul confronts a character with plot armor. See what I mean?

Why is it always that when there is said to be a blockade around a planet, it's just several ships in one area of space? What if the enemies arrive from the other side of the planet?

>he comically dies
in the EU he was resurrected practically immediately, which gives an indication of how much he resonated with fans (in terms of being a generic cool looking bad guy), and now in Aftermath they made an oblique reference to his armor in such a *wink wink* inside joke sort of way that fulfils the mystery box obligation and obsession among current Star Wars content, the shameless setup of other things down the road and making us wait eons for any sort of clarification and resolution. But that's really a symptom of the vast majority of canon right now.

>it doesn't count if he has help
ok

>it doesn't count if I ignore the evidence proving me wrong
ok

I never said it doesn't count, I said it was the first step to some actual serious Boba stories

Please read my post more carefully m8, I am not trying to argue with you

Oh you're the "everything in canon is just setup and no payoff" guy, should have figured
