Why are you suprised?

Oh my fucking god
>japanese Robin is cute! C U T E !

>Volume 1 - A Boy from Japan

oh dear

Why do the faces and proportions look so off? You can do better then this, nippon

>That faggot at the front
Stop inserting your shit OCs, Japan.

Everything about this looks off
Couldn't they get a better artist?

But how will the Japanese relate to superheroes without Main the Character acting as their self-insert?

so, Tim is a weeaboo now?

I can tell the artist doesn't feel comfortable with drawing high muscle definition

do we have scans yet?

>Batman and the Justice League

This feels like a parody title you would see from a pro-Marvel webcomic.

Does Superoniichan have a mullet?

So does this fall under Sup Forums like the RWBY manga, or do we talk about it here?

what are they gonna do, make Batman japanese?
>Burusu Wainu
Although i do agree making the american series "bunch of americans plus the token japanese at the front" is kinda tiring. Just move Metropolis something like "M city" and put enough japanese motif to convince everyone its not necessarily north america, like wanpanman.

WW hentai increase by 50%

Cross-pollination like this is kind of nebulous, but I'd just say to leave it as is. The characters originated from the West, so I believe it's fair to talk about products from Eastern countries incorporating them in a significant way.

As long as no one makes a big stink over this, everything should be fine. Just keep it all on-topic and don't leak out cancerously onto other threads.

where are fucking scans?

Would this picture be improved by using OP's Robin instead?

Gainer is Robin?!

Why not just Justice League?

Wasn't he always?

This. You can tell that the artist is used to draw lanky DeviantArt-tier fucks with feminine faces

it's a rule in japan, if it's about girls there have to be no boys, and if it's about boys and girls there has to be a self insert character

Wait, is this that one thing where the trailer had good animation that slowly turned into stick figures because DC hired an anime studio that was famous for going over budget?

Its not an anime. Just manga

Now we wait for Supergirl

>manga
They better have Lord Deathman.

Or Powerhag

Who?

Batman's arch nemesis.
His #1 villain.

Do you even read manga?

Oh. Satire.

>thinking this is a joke

Get out of here you filthy casual.

Is LDM still locked in a box?

Last I checked, yep.

He's Cosmic DC's problem now.

>wording it like a joke
Impressive work user.

>He doesn't know about Batman's long running manga series

DC needs to understand how marketable Wally West would be to the japanese. He is basically a shounen character. Same for any Green Lantern since their power comes from getter rays/Spiral power

Hopefully the kid is going to be an OC in name only, he clearly is supposed to be Robin.

i've always wanted to see a mahou shoujo green lantern series or that one sentai lantern spinoff from the Bizzaro comics anthology collection

>Batman and the Justice League
Oh, for fuck's sake...

>Using the awful New 52 designs
But why?

>Japanese self-insert Robin
That's cliche as fuck.

It'll still probably be better than Marvel Anime.

What's the most anime DC hero?

Marvel anime was pretty ok. It was essentially Digimon with marvel. It has a slow start and at least 2 pretty 'meh' arcs, also one of the kid characters is a fucking Gary Stu that drags the show down whenever he is the main focus.

I dont like it. Nope. Not one bit.
You have bad taste Japan.

Anyone here can read moon runes?
marumaru.in/b/origin/222603

Large name? Kyle Rayner, he's made anime constructs a few times before, such as magical girls and Gurren's face.
B-List? Jaime Rayes is basically a Guyver.
Z-lister? Any of the Super Young Team, such as Most Excellent Super-Bat.

Because Batman is the most popular DC character in japan too.

I'm not sure why they're bothering then. If anything comics have shown it's that every writer and artists has a different interpretation and style.
Those with superpowers like Diana and Clark don't need to be swole, the fact they have super strength at all means their muscles have nothing to do with it. Its just a visual shorthand for power, or because someone likes to exaggerate their physique for whatever reason.

As for those like Bruce all of his media has shown he has different builds depending on his background. He's human after all and often a ninja and martial artist more than a body builder so he can go with a fit shape without definition. There's no reason for armor to have rippling muscles anyway.

Then again one could argue it's for the disguise and intimidation, but his cape hiding his body facilitates that just as well.

OH WELL.

He was just Deathman, I thought. And the end of his story was lost. Has it been found?

>self-insert as the fuccboi wonder
Well they got their priorities straig...er right.

what trailer?

I wonder how profitable will be when Japan is running basically their own take of capeshit mixed with Shonen with My Hero Academia

Is that All for One?

Well Marvel already beat them a long time ago pandering to Japanese audience

Deadpool has a big fanbase actually there

>and his name is Jiro Osamu
if only

>new 52 collars
I thought we were free of them...

why can't they just adapt the comics? why must they make something new about the character visiting japan or a Japanese kid joining forces with the heroes?

Is it just me or does superman look kinda...pretty?

New 52 is Geoff's Bendis Guardians

I'd never forget Lord Death man

Even in the east the batwank is strong

He looks like a beefcake version of Squall Leonhart.

whats with DC getting attention in japan all of a sudden

Who authorized this?

They want to enter the Japanese market somehow since most people there only knows Marvel except for Batman.

i thought suicido squado did pretty well with japanese people they even made a joker nendoroid

youtube.com/watch?v=-Oh3ZR6h6hQ

It's not about that. It's more about the recent Jap trend of thinking that manga style = the drawing style that every Yaoi doujinshi uses, and how it specially clashes with the western capeshit genre. Take My Hero Academia, for example. That one really nails the superhero feel while still keeping it closer to Japanese Manga sensibilities. But these DC designs, on the other hand, are a travesty. They literally look like some DeviantArt hack was hired to illustrate them. They all have the same face, the same body-type that makes them look lanky even with muscles on, and is generally very generic/soulless.

>Superman appears in an official manga
>It's Superbro

And into the trash it goes...

So who's the villain going to be? And is it going to be in continuity or it's own thing

I wish they hired the gay bara Batman doujinshi artist.

...

...

...

This is p gud art imo.

Artist is a woman. Pretty good at muscle chicks, though, from what I recall.

I think he meant the animes for Iron Man, Blade, Wolverine, X-Men...
I mean of all runs, the X-Men anime had to use stuff from morrison?! At least Storm looked hot

Eh.
At first from the thumbnail I was expecting it to be Batman VS The Justice League..

It's always some homo-acting wimp with no confidence.

When is this out?

...

I was going to say somebody should storytime the batmanga but that is bloody long.

lol, you'll always be Robin to him, Dick.

>Dick in yo face like POW!

I'd be down with a Japanese Robin if all he did was fanboy whenever another hero showed up, annoying Batman while making him jealous at the same time.

Not surprising considering Japs have shit taste.

Gotta make things relatable to the audience you're selling too.

Why do their faces look like theyre late teens early 20s?

I still don't get why most manga isn't fully colored.

I wonder if there is ever going to be a crossover

It costs more to have something fully covered and increases the time it makes to produce a page.

Those awful modern costumes soil it.

cue "manga is better because the artists produce more" arguments.

Is it wrong that I want to see a WW manga or something that has Diana going full on magical girl? She's already pretty borderline mahou shoujo as it is, so it ain't much of a stretch.

Not really, both have pretty big issues. Comics switch writers too often and Manga goes on forever until it goes to shit and gets cancelled for it.

>long bangs
>Is dat sum mullet lol?
What do you think?

>why can't they just adapt the comics?
Because Marvel is about a world "right outside your window". But what is outside a Japanese kid's window is very different from an American kid's.

They are staying true to their core philosophy from way back when Jack Kirby was still alive.

53 issues, it would need its own thread.

Well, better a fun 200+ page bw comic than 20+/- page colored Marvel and DC shit where nothing happens.

Modern coloring is so bad.

>I still don't get why most manga isn't fully colored.
Manga is sold as mass media, not at specialist stores. Japan doesn't have Diamond Comics and as such they can sell manga cheaply and affordable to everyone. The average manga is made by one person, very few people have assistants, and most operate on weekly magazines rather than monthly. Manga is cheap, Comics are not.

Will they ever top Manga Spider-man?
