Trailer isn't all that great, but I like the art and production stills, and some of my favorite artists are working on it, so I might give it a look.

Rich Evans is like the only reason to watch this.

But if this inadvertently creates Newgrounds-core low-budget profitable animation, all the better.

I never watch reviews so I'm not surprised for never hearing about him before. I am however surprised he's not a TV guy though.

i just rewatched this and there are clear artstyle changes
now some shows have different story-boarders and that makes a difference, but the trailer seems like its the same episode, so either
A) there is 0 quality control so the animation and artstyle goes apeshit and is all over the place
or
B) the entire series takes place in the same library, leading to the plot being the main two are just assholes to everyone in this building constantly and the whole joke of "being loud in a library" runs out really goddamn quick
the show looks like it gets stale real fast either way

On the one hand it's nice that it seems to be totally frame-by-frame. On the other hand, it's not particularly well animated. Not necessarily BADLY animated, just, not terribly good either. Average might be the word. It's odd though, I remember seeing an incomplete clip that had really smooth, great animation, but these clips seem... meh?

Maybe I just need to see more complete scenes rather than these brief snippets. And hey, maybe it'll be entertaining, I dunno. We'll just have to wait n' see.

It's a long weekend in my country but I am working Saturday regardless. This looks like a Newgrounds animation in every regard. The voice actors that sound kind of quiet but like they're trying to be energetic. The different mic qualities from each of them. The sloppy animation. All the backgrounds look like they were done in Flash by someone who doesn't understand perspective but uses the line tool and gradients a whole bunch. And to top it all off, trying desperately to emulate a John K. cartoon.

The only good thing is the painted card at the very beginning which was the promo art for awhile.

Thank God. It's her worst work. She keeps re-drawing it and updating the art but has not changed the writing since she wrote it back in fucking high school. You can even find some of the old pages floating around, the dialogue and panel composition barely changes, she just updates the art.

I think she's better off moving away from it than letting it consume another decade of her life.
