But enough about me, how was your day?

Taking a break from the Curt Swan catch-up for a little Jack Kirby. Don't worry, we'll get to the cover story in a bit.

I like cover stories, and you'd hate me if I skipped them.

Kirby drew most of this, so I might as well post the whole thing.

That's enough of the Silver Age for today...

... Al Hirschfield was born 114 years ago today...

... acclaimed animator Zlatko Grgić would've been 86 today...

... Meredith Baxter is 70...

.. as is Michael Gross...

... Enn Reitel is 67...

... Berkeley Breathed is 60...

... David Morrissey is 53...

... Jim Breuer is 50...

... Chris Pratt is 38...

... Carroll O'Connor died 16 years ago today...

... and Kermit Love died nine years ago.

Well, I'm done for today. I'll be back on Friday, knock on wood, to give you all some more Silver Age silliness, as well as the usual stuff.

Thanks, OP.

Well, I'm pretty sure there'll be a fair amount of Kanigher when I finally get into the 60's

I'll probably skip the more obscure stuff when I hit the next decade, if only to speed things along. I'll still do the very early work of creators like Len Wein, Roy Thomas and Jim Steranko,
but as for Kirby/Ditko/infantino/etc. it'll be the big hitters and the cult classics
