Western superhero costume design

>western superhero costume design
>basic colors and outline
>skin tight latex
>unnecessary cleavage and boob windows
>sometimes tacticool
>nothing that enhances the power of the hero

>eastern superhero costume design
>costume is inherently part of the superhero persona
>designed to be supplemental to their powers
>ranges from subtle and simple to flashy and bombastic

how is it that a country infamous for its fanservice and sexualization manages to make superhero costumes more interesting than the west? Even the heroes made specifically to be sexy don't have cleavage and only show skin when its part of their power like Midnight.

...

I do like the everyone in this manga wears costumes that are optimized for their powers but its not like they all look great, it has a lot misses as well, Baku;s costume is edgy as fuck, it suits him but it still looks like trash.

...

I like the simplicity of a lot of western superhero costumes, in Bha the costumes are really hit and miss for me.

Is her superpower making nipples disappear?

I think maybe she actually has a long sleeved shirt on under the fetish gear?

She's not naked

to be fair that's exactly what an asshole arrogant 14 year old would make

>comparing 2017 manga to stuff from 1940+

>Baku;s costume is edgy as fuck, it suits him but it still looks like trash.
The faggot himself is edgy as fuck. Anything else would feel wrong.

Because Superman and Batman still sport the briefs, right?

The costume looking bad is independent of it looking edgy.

like i said the costume suits him, but it still looks like shit.

How would the Champions fare against the MHA mains?

yes

Sorry my contrarian friend, but you're wrong. Redesigns exists for a reason and considering he included "tacticool" on his complains it's pretty obvious he isn't talking about the 40s costumes.

Basically you're an illiterate retard.

and btw AU doesn't count

Its actually a skin coloured suit thst she rips to expose skin and knock people out with gas. She became a teacher togive kids something to jack it to

Miles, Viv, and Cho could each individually solo the cast of MHA. Sam would get his shit kicked in.

>>unnecessary cleavage and boob windows
>>western

amazing bait

I hate this fucking costume so much, those featureless breasts just don't look right at all even if they are supposed to be covered. At least Mount Lady's is great.

>t. person with shitty giantess fetish

Invisible Girl is clearly the superior costume.

>Saying that when Todoroki wears shit like this

so what current western superheroes is he talking about then?

If super hero liscences/schools existed in the marvel/dc universe who would persue heroism as a profession and who wouldn't? I know for sure Superman would probably become a full time hero, but would people like Peter Parker do it?

>hero licenses
they did in Marvel

Everything about Todoroki is forced and generic.

That's something you should ask OP not me.

I merely corrected your stupid claim that he was comparing modern anime stuff to old/original western designs.

I'm indifferent to giantess fetish, I just mainly like her ass and horns and the exhibitionist nature of her personality. I do have an invisible girl fetish too though.

F mettle

Literally who cares about soap opera boy?

A lot of those costume's in MHA seem super clunky and would restrict movement in emergency situations. Also, thematically they make no sense in some cases. Edna mode would not approve.

>Edna mode would not approve.
All her designs were dull as shit and she also hates capes so her opinion would be pretty much irrelevant.

but that fits his character tho so you're just agreeing with his point

>the exhibitionist nature of her personality.
Before I saw a colored illustration of her, I thought the white parts of her costume were just her bare skin.

It's too bad MHA became generic shlock. Deku became a generic "I want to be the strongest because being strong is the thing I want, and by the way I also have more than enough power to be the strongest" protagonist, the author's continuing gay crush on Bakugo (despite him being an irredeemable little monster), etc. All Might against All For One was the last gasp of life the series had in it.

beautiful

I'm glad someone else knows what's up.

All of her issues with capes can be resolved by designing them to detach when caught by something to begin with.

>not gaara

most of them are pretty practical, like bird head guys cloak since his shadow monster needs shade to protect it from light. or the girl who wears the revealing costume since her power lets her create objects but she has to pull them out of her body.

>All her designs were dull as shit
We only saw her recent patch work and retro wear direction.
Her own layered dress design was actually pretty slick.

looks like a generic ass chinese dress

Or by not being a fucking retard.

>the entire hero system on BNHA

stain was right, they have forgotten what it means to be a hero.

Are you even allowed to do heroics without being registered?

No. They're called vigilantes. Which ironically is a spin-off.

Why does Iida wear a full on clunky suit of armor?
Why does the grape guy wear a fucking diaper?
What's the point of invisible girl wearing visible gloves and boots?
Tape dispenser dude has ornamental tape dispensers on his shoulders.

What the hell even is pic related?

Not really. Bird head's shadow monster still needs to go out into the light anyway to do anything. And the production girl could just pop things from her hands, she has no protection or fighting abilities. Eve from Invincible has basically the same power, but she has the sense to make a force field.

Which just introduced stain before he stsrted going after heroes

Christmas only gets screentime because he's Bakugou's top

>" Deku became a generic "I want to be the strongest because being strong is the thing I want"
Is it that bad? Does everyone has to have a complicated backstory to want become a hero?

Everyone seems more concerned about being a #1 hero(whatever the fuck that means) and becoming the next All Might, than just wanting to help people and do good for their society.

Iida is part of a long line of heroes. They're taking inspiration from knights.

Grapist is pretty sick. He's perverted.

Invisigirl still needs a "costume" even if its boots (protect her feet) and gloves (to make sure she's semi visible).

Tape dude just wanted matching shoulders for his elbows.

Also Kirishima is MANLY! His outfit is what he thinks of MANLY! Barechest is MANLY!

They're obsessed with wealth, power, and status. Which is why Stain was calling them fake heroes because only All Might, and later Deku really care about the people rather than status shit. I assume Vigilantes are also same way, they're not part the system, they're trying to do good still.

>Why does Iida wear a full on clunky suit of armor?

copying his brothers look?

Why does the grape guy wear a fucking diaper?

comic relief

What's the point of invisible girl wearing visible gloves and boots?

so her team mates/the viewer can see, but also so she can quickly take them off and be completely invisible

Tape dispenser dude has ornamental tape dispensers on his shoulders.

got to have a theme

What the hell even is pic related?

the gears are part of his metal theme, shirtless casue he does not need armor, since he has colossus's power.

people wear stuff with no practical purpose if it goes with their theme. PR is part of hero work in the BnHA universe.

I blame the bastardization and normalization of superpowers in their world. Being a hero is merely a lousy job like being a famous footballer or clothes designer. It does make sense kids are more interested in being the next big thing that to actually save people.

At the end of the day the it reads like a sports manga than it does like a battle shonen.

Aerodinamics for Iida, Fetish for Grape, The ground is really rough to walk around barefoot all day and seeing where your hand is helps manipulating things. And maybe the ornamental tape dispensers are to fake people out? Maybe he really likes tape dispensers?

And rock guy has reinforcements in the face to protect the parts that jut out of the rock. His job is to take hits, might as well protect the parts that can break off your face.

Vigilantism is the superior form of heroics anyways.

T. Knockoff wildcat

The cloak is still useful since it needs to rest and recharge and to protect it from intense burst of light like from baku's power.

its revealing so she can pull out large objects or pop out multiple objects at the same time.

>its revealing so she can pull out large objects or pop out multiple objects at the same time.
Which ends up being fucking useless because she's a shit fighter.

Pls no bully she just isnt good at fighting on the fly

No, user.

The rules are corrupted by those in power, the guilty go unpunished and the innocent gets ran over. You have a free pass as long as you have the money or influences.
By abiding by the rules you're limiting how much stuff you can actually get done.

>Miles
>soloing the entire cast of MHA
There are some characters in MHA that he couldn't even touch, whether it be because they are too fast or their powers are literally so overwhelming he couldn't get close without getting his shit pushed in.

She can make complex stuff if she understands its chemical and physical make up, her power only gets better as she learns more.

if she figures out how to make paralyzing poisons she could be pretty good against anyone who needs to breath.

Fuck that she should be doing porn.

>pops out large dildos and other fetishy stuff from her vagina and poop hole

This might be the worst costume I've ever seen

Momo is not for lewd.

You're underestimating Miles powers.
Remember we're talking about manga, all you need is enough will and an OP technique to hack wins out of your battles.

>VENOMU BURASTAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look how bulky this is. This is not aerodynamic. The collar alone must create so much unnecessary drag. The huge ass boots too

You can't claim that the costumes are practical and then excuse the grape dude's diaper because "fetish"

Point on invisible girl needing to protect her feet. I think the gloves are completely pointless though.

The gears on Kirishima's costume look like they must restrict the movement of his arms.

Literally the only thing she's good at.

dont mind me, just posting obligatory Plus Ultra fisting

All Might is a wonderful human being.

>Eastern superheroes
>superheroes
No such thing exists. They work for payment or out of vengeance and hardly do something heroic or justiful. Most of them are basically supervillains fighting more evil supervillains.

so when are we going to talk about Togabane

Put miles in a manga setting and he becomes even more OP, with his super strength, venom blast and prescience. especially since you know the japs will pull out the whole "fast muscle twitch fibers" which they always do when a black character is introduced.

...

>anime loli with bane mask
Has hypercrisis gone too far this time?

The boots are big because his legs are huge, his quirk altered his feet, he has literal engines built into his calves. I see nothing wrong with armor for a guy who has no durability, hes not like flash, he runs fast, he does not move so faqst that everything around him is slow enough to dodge, he needs armor.

she probably wears the gloves so she can see where her own hands are and simply strips when she needs to be sneaky.
