a gun

There seem to be many villains who also have guns

Being born better than everyone else in some way

Doing what is right, even when that is the most difficult choice, even to your own detriment or even death.

"We're not so different, you and I!"

Selflessness, good will and a fair ammount of competence in something.

Ankle wings

overcoming tough odds through strength, intelligence or generally being a nice guy but mostly through immense will.

Doing something good with minimal consequences and having people not like you for it

Correct

The Flash is the only true hero

I suppose helping people out in a significant way without receiving anything in return, not even a salary.
I've always felt conflicted about police officers, doctors, and firefights being called heroes when they're just doing their job. I mean, they probably wouldn't do them if they were not getting paid.
A civilian who tackles a terrorist during an attack instead of running away has more right to call themselves a hero than the policeman who takes said terrorist down.

Or the guy that stops a gang from stomping the fuck out of some mentally disabled chick, even though he knows he's going to get his shit kicked in instead and then only asks for two panadol at the hospital three hours later.

Yeah, that guy too. I'd say a hero is that person who decides to intervene in a situation that is going to fuck them over more than benefit them, and in which running away or avoiding it entirely would bear no negative consequences for them but decide to help regardless.

The way I've always seen the police/firefighter/doctor scenario is that these people obviously chose that career choice for a reason. Most people don't just become police officers because there's nothing else to do. Even if they wouldn't do it if they weren't getting paid there's still that moral urge to help people, no?

Thanks, user. I had to tell someone eventually.

If you're not making it up, good for you user. The world needs more people like you

doing the right thing, always, no matter what people say

A lot of doctors get into it specifically for the money or because their parents forced them into it, police often get into it for the power trip no, I'm not talking about cops gunning down blacks or anything, just some cops are dicks.
I don't know any firefighters, but there are so many ways people get into doing things, like wanting to do what a parent did or something akin to that without helping people being much of a reason or at all.

That is true, but, at least in my personal environment, most policemen were high school bullies who wanted to get their hands of a gun.
Also, those jobs are pretty financially secure due to the fact that they are finance by the government, at least where I live. So that kind of dampens the good will. Not that there isn't, just that you need to know each individual case and every person's reasoning for joining the force.

Don't you see it? The hero was you all time along

no, that just makes you an hero.

Despite where we are, I assure you I'm not making it up. I'm just glad I could finally share it with someone who understands why I did it.
She got away safely, by the way.

That'd make you more an an anti-hero, wouldn't it?

There are no heroes.

Why nobody posted this yet?

I'm very glad to hear it, user. I hope someone recognized your efforts, even if your actions alone are their own reward.

...

She herself at the very least recognized her own safety and that's more than enough.
I hope she went on to have a comfortable,
happy life.

What's the most heroic act you've ever partaken in? Don't be humble, just tell us.

Never stop being you.

If you say so, I'll go whack it to degenerate pornography and smoke a thousand cigarettes a day.
Always do what you can to help in an emergency, user. It's all we can do.

WHO ARE YOU
JUST A MAN
OR A SUPERMAN

I guess it depends on whether heroes need to be accepted by the public

Colossus was so perfect in Deadpool movie. We will never see him again, huh?

Kek

We'll almost definitely see him in Deadpool 2.

Money and a privileged upbringing. Ask any European writer.

It's the woman in your arms. Just 'cause she has big titties.
Or maybe it is the way you fight every day.
No, it's probably the titties.

With his hot demonic sister?

Wasn't that already confirmed or is she in New Mutants?

Villains are just heroes you disagree with.

I mean, Spider-Man notoriously wasn't, and the words 'social justice warrior' have become a slur even when it's not ironically referencing someone that doesn't actually so anything.

So god, I fucking hope not.

Saving the world, even if you think it hates you.

"A hero isn't someone who is capable of saving everyone all the time. A hero is someone who helps where and when they can. This is why we need a lot of them The fact that atrocities still happen, such as those you suffered, is proof that we need heroes now more than ever."

Bulletproof skin and the ability to lift at least ten tons.

>to call themselves

If you call yourself a hero, you're not a hero

What if I have pelletproof skin and the ability to lift 9 tons?

That's a start. Just train more. Can we call you Pellet Man?

Surely 9-Ton Man would be a better choice?

This is why im not in the hero marketing business. Much better idea, my dude.

>Thank god you're here, 9-Ton-Man!
>No worries, citizen! Now tell me, what seems to be the problem?
>The National Bank is being robbed by 10-Ton-Timmy!
>FUCK

Hold the phone folks, im working on something for this.

Eric Pyle, Aka: 9-Ton Man

Powers: Can lift up to, but never exceeding 9 tons and is immune to pellets and small arms fire.

His emblem reminds me of one of those made up gender symbols Tumblr churns out every other day

You son of a bitch, i didn't even think about that. And here i thought it was a good logo.

As Partners in Kryme described it,
>When you stand for what you believe in
>And find the strength to do what's right?
>That's TURTLE POWER

A good heart.

Heart

Public approval.

Doing more for others than for yourself.

I never liked this song.

It always felt incomplete, like it only had half a point and half a verse, and just decided to throw in some Aquaman cross-dressing to distract from it.

I might just be biased because I roll my eyes every time he says Batman has no superpowers but I genuinely think this song is overrated and not as great as people keep saying it is and doesn't do a good job of conveying the "Powers aren't everything that makes a hero" message.
