>Realistic bodies are fat fucks
>This what American women believe

>direct linking huffpo
Devilish!

I don't get why people are obsessed with shoving realism into capes.
Scarlet Witch is an on and off mutant/inhuman that can alter the fabric of reality when she has a mental breakdown. Is it so much harder to believe that she also has 5% body fat and rockin tits?

imagine how insulting it must feel to the original artists of these covers
>we're triggered that your character isn't fat as fuck we're going to "correct" your painting

You just don't understand what real bravery is, user.

THICC

also stop posting this you fedora tipping Sup Forumsnigger

Don't do this to my waifu pls.

> whining about direct linking

gatorgait turned this site into a bunch of idiots

How hard is it to maintain a healthy weight. Women should at least try to be skinnyfat but nope they can't control their eating habits.

Stop letting them get away with this shit. In a couple years every woman in America will be an obese tub of lard and think it's ok.

I want you to know that I have never been on Sup Forums my entire time being on this site. I've been to /po/ before, but I haven't been on Sup Forums. I just think this article is stupid.

>Applying "real" world bullshit to comics

Oh this thread again.

Well let's just run this out real quick, then: the problem with these fat, useless fucks is that instead of attempting to improve themselves in any way, or better their appearance through work or discipline, they just want to lower the bar to accommodate what they are.

Instead of trying to be physically healthy, they're so self-centered that it's fucking more realistic to make everyone ELSE fat.

nope. still not gonna give you any hits.

>leftyfags shitting up the board again

sure is comics in here

Is that a Pulp Fiction reference?

>double chin

Kill it with fire!

I'm 100% sure that everyone here is tired of fucking landwhales trying to claim that they themselves are the "norm" among people under the age of 50

Fuck off, fat fucks

>fill out character and fatten them up
>somehow give less definition for cleavage

not doing anyone any favors guys

both men and women, and basically that way already.

>double chin

That thing has a chin?

almost 70% of the US population is overweight or obese.
it is the norm my man, americans are gross

It's also funny because fedora-tipping is a Sup Forums meme, so if anyone is from Sup Forums it's him

It isn't the norm to be obese you fucking retard, which is what OP is. Kill yourself, fat fuck.

Good point.
I wonder if they would make that with athlets too.
Because we see these heroes doing stuff that is very likely like sport or training.

It is the norm, and your reasoning is bad.
When 36.5% of the US adult population is obese and ~33% are overweight, while this figure is rising, it becomes the norm.

keep eating those burgers, ameritard.

Realistic American heroes should also shoot up schools.

Cyborg barely looks different. Is that the joke?

That is hilarious

He clearly has a bigger stomach which doesn't make any sense

Im tired of these claiming "Every body is beautifull" and "Having not a super model figur is unhealthy" but than throwing a tantrum if soeone is fit. If they are healthy why should they care how others look like.

I wonder if they would take fat people and photoshop them thinner orfit
>How would this guy look like if he was fit?

Your pic defeats the whole fat argument, since Wanda's new ongoing she's been using her powers to change how she looks so that she intentionally appears to be a gypsie supermodel

rather than an old withered hag

Just because amerifats are, doesnt mean its the norm.
And that these norm should apply to everything.
Ot should athlets, police or soldiers get fatter because of the norm?

If those two athlet-chics cold act in a movie, they should play in capemovies.

But very unlikely.

You're reading American comics, and other anglo countries are quickly catching up with America's obesity rates anyway.

It doesn't matter what obesity rates are like in Japan unless you're reading manga

What is "realistic" supposed to mean?

>Artist puts up statue of a little girl staring down a bull and thinks it's a statement about bravery, when in actuality anyone who knows what the bull statue meant to begin with realizes they literally made a girl stand in opposition to economic prosperity.

America needs to be nuked

>You're reading American comics
Big assumption there buddy

Well all the edits in the OP article are marvel or dc, which are American bucko. That's what's relevant here.

So who is going to buy these comics with the fat girls in them?
Nobody that's who.

As a reader of comics, user, what would be your greatest intellectual achievement?

still its not the worldwide norm.
Not the norm with soldiers or athlets. Or with other persons who do heavy bodywork.

Because the norm is humansize doesnt mean that the norm of faeries should be the same, or giants

This!
youtu.be/bZxqtqzznOo

Is this the Marvel offices?

No, "curvy" is when a woman has just one, big curve, like a circle.

more like huffing ton post

>implying there aren't plenty of fatasses among cops
I'm not saying you're wrong, just adding.

>If those two athlet-chics cold act in a movie

>those two

You realize it's the same broad twice, right?

>superheroes can be secret agents, cyborgs, aliens, Amazons, etc.
>but we don't feel like it's realistic so let's make them fat
I feel like a more 'normal' look would just be something like a little paunch over some musculature that looks like they work for a living, or hit the gym once a week because it's healthy.
t. fat guy

>Pictures were edited to discourage people from developing eating disorders
>Retarded journalists think it's to mock comic industry for not drawing fat people instead of fap bait
>Retarded Sup Forums shitposters think it's an attack on their fap bait

Yeah, reading would have been hard on you, huh.

The best irony being the sculptor of the bull is an immigrant.

>developing eating disorders
Like being fat?

I totally agree that realistically there'd probably be a long range of different body types in comics, but I think it's also ridiculous to say that everyone should look like this instead, because it's the norm. I think their bodies are totally up to their life styles, which aren't always so clear, though. It'd be boring from the readers perspective, but I think it'd be interesting to see what these comic book people actually eat or do to look the way they do.

And that's how we go from being able to just ignoring these "fat acceptance" retards to screaming for the blood of everyone involved.

We already know what a "real world" Scarlet Witch would look like, and it's not like that.

>I totally agree that realistically there'd probably be a long range of different body types in comics,

Realistically, maybe, but superheroes are the modern-day successor to the heroes of ancient myth and legend. They're supposed to look larger than life, the men are supposed to be impossibly muscular, the women are supposed to be impossibly beautiful.

modern feminism is still processing its stance on certain issues such as pornography and breasts.

You'd think pornography would be a clear no-brainer for SJW-types to go after but you don't see much comment of it. As degrading as porn tends to be, it is a form of power that females have over males so feminists are careful to touch this issue. It doesn't help them that the porn business tends to be dominated by alpha male types and isn't as easily pushed over as, say, the IT industry's beta males who are doing "coding for girls" programs in 2017 as if this industry has magically held off from the 1960s sexual revolution despite other industries like the legal and medical professions being literally dominated by females within a single generation.

Breasts are similar, they are objects of power that women have over men but the simple fact is that they *are* designed for the male gaze, and anything intended for the male gaze is inherently evil. They're still trying to wrap their head around their philosphical stance here, are breasts evil or is it ok to use an evil artifact to fight the evil patriarchy?

For now, breasts are like a somewhat neutral country in a world war, they've been set aside for now but both sides consider them to questionable at best and will ultimately need to be dealt with as at least quasi-enemies. Feminists like to pretend that large breasts simply don't exist in the real world because it lets them bash male-gaze artwork, if large breasts didn't actually exist it'd be a lot easier for them to bash without hesitation.

>are supposed to be impossibly beautiful
Even though I agree and I'm the biggest fan of a ''comic book body'', but still, who said it's supposed to be that way? Again, I love the way people look, especially when an artist has a great style, but totally get why some people are upset. Maybe a little bit of diversity in body types wouldn't hurt as long as it's true to the character's current life style.

But that almost always does happen.
It's only shitty artists that don't do that.

>modern feminism is still processing its stance on certain issues such as pornography and breasts.
What makes you think feminism has anything to do with the article or pictures? Let me make you look like an idiot
>Recovery.org, an organization that offers resources for people with mental health and/or substance abuse issues, is making those “perfect” bodies a little more realistic by “reverse photoshopping” illustrations of some of the most iconic superheroes. According to Recovery.org, “reverse photoshop” simply means reimagining what superheroes would look like “if their bodies matched the body of the average viewer” in the U.S.

Of course this doesn't change the fact that the name of the article is a clickbait

Married women entering the workforce coupled with automation is why wages have stagnated for 30 years now. So if anything this statue is correct.

Well yes that's what the bull used to mean, but these days it has become a symbol of the wall street elite and greed.

And lets not forget that the bull was unofficially installed there.

Well being a Jewish skelly isn't much better.

You have no room to talk Yomi, you tubbo

Holy fuck that's the president of croatia?

>Jewish
Is she anymore?
She's not Mag's kid anymore, so she's probably just a gyppo.

Talking about Gal Gadot. She's cute but built like a beanpole.

Oh, my bad.
I didn't realize you were referring to his reaction image.

Yeah, she is pretty cute, but there's no muscle there.
I understand wanting some cute sort of brown-ish chick for Wondie, but she should have bulked up.
Dude actors tend to for those sorts of roles, what kind of example is she sending to future chick superheroine actors?

>Eating healthy is a disorder
>Binging on McDonalds and unhealthy foods is ok

I hate Americans.

He's a damn cyborg, it's mostly just fucking wires and shit in there. Why would he be fat? He was built!

>Dude actors tend to for those sorts of roles, what kind of example is she sending to future chick superheroine actors?
Well maybe if we demanded females acts to bulk up (we don't) then she would do it as well. But guess what, we aren't demanding it. So they don't bulk up

look at her stubby fucking arms, truly this is a realistic body

>Why would he be fat?
He has to store his processing power somewhere

That was sort of what I was driving at.
There's going to be more female supers in the future and they should have to fit the part, too.

These people read less comics than Sup Forums.

And the part we are asking them to fit is slim and pretty.

Because last thread wasn't enough for you austists?

>but these days it has become a symbol of the wall street elite and greed.

That's news to me. You don't find the fact that the girl was literally commissioned by an investment firm while the bull was self-funded by a Sicilian immigrant to be just a little bit ironic? Do you think the original artist has a right to be upset that his message of economic prosperity and resilience has been transformed into one of corporate misogyny?

>And lets not forget that the bull was unofficially installed there.

Do you have something against guerilla art?

...

The irony is not lost to me
>has been transformed into one of corporate misogyny?
No not corporate misogyny, corporate greed.
>Do you have something against guerilla art?
Not really no but I imagine that some people would see the bull the same way they see graffiti. Sure the artist will say it's art but that's not what the rest might think

Of course he does, he was responding to his own post. It's fun to come into these threads and watch one guy respond to himself over and over again and think he's fooling us
