Cybersix

The one with the cute goth girls.

DEAR MOM AND DAD I'M DOING FINE

God bless Total Drama, the thinking man's cartoon.

Wasn't the captain underpants movie canadian made?

Cybersix a.k.a. the only good Canadian cartoon.

Clone High and EE&E you tasteless virgin

The Raccoons.

Reboot

Kevin Spencer is an extremely under rated master piece of Canadian culture and comedy

Total Drama and Shezow

it's American-Canadian

Total Drama deserves praise for making reality tv watchable. Somehow putting it all in the context of high school teen drama makes it so much more bearable.

Only acceptable, alongside Pear Cider & Cigarettes

Reboot.

All other answers are wrong.

Anything from Mainframe at their peak, when their show would literally be on back-to-back on YTV and Fox Kids.

I never really liked this show, but it must've been awesome to work on as an animator.

WAIT fuck they're teens?

There exists GOOD Canadian cartoons. You just haven't looked through enough.

Beast Wars or reboot

Reboot is the only one I know off the top of my head.

I remembered at the beginning of the show, the warning screen said ANIMATED TEENS, upfront in emphasis.

It's two-thirds Japanese, though
TMS isn't some sweatshop you send your key frames to and hope they don't come back with snake pupils

Any other answer is wrong

Fuck you, I didn't have cable as a kid so whenever the CBC went on strike I would have to watch this shit.

Key frame animation was co-invented by Nestor Burtnyk and Marcelli Wein at the NRC in the 1970s

Mmmm thats good canada

I thought She-Zow was Australian.

>Fuck you

That's not how you spell 'Thank You'.

And you're welcome, by the way.

The best cartoon of the decade

Well, the creator identifies as a Canadian now.

it's both

>identifies as a Canadian
>You don't understand Dad. I'm Canadian on the inside

Anything from here

lps?

>when all the other boys were playing baseball
>he wanted to play hockey

>that time he nearly overdosed on maple syrup

>when he dared to add gravy and cheese curds to his freedom fries

The signs were all there, Dad.

that's canadian?

You don't understand, it was on all hours of the day. It could be 8 or 4, am or pm, and it was on. You stop being able to judge how much time has passed, you lose your mind.

Only 6teen! Only hardcore!

I probably have more appreciation for it because it wasn't on as often when I was little.

But how could you lose your mind with such a catchy ending theme?

I was going to post this

Rumor has it, they're trying to start a reboot of The Raccoons.

Hopefully they don't mess it up as badly as the reboot of Reboot.

Nothin but the best

Does this count

Don't even talk to me if you think Spliced isn't a good show. One of the more overlooked good Canadian cartoons, of which I admit are few in numbers.

FOWAH. SUPPA. I ER-UH WANT A PARTY PLATTAAA

Ruby Gloom?

Like a third of cartoons on TV these days, it was made in Vancouver.

Ruby Gloom or Beast Wars

posting comfy core

why have a poster of youself

Totally Spies

cause he was guest starring at a shezow convention, watch the show before saying dumb shit

Martin Mystery

Came to post this.

LPS and TECHNICALLY Clone High, too.

>no atomic puppet
What's wrong with you guys

Y'know, it was actually an Argentinian comic. So it's, like, 1 third Canadian.

I would go with ReBoot or Redwall. ReBoot if I'm being Canadian, Redwall if I'm choosing for quality.

Was it written in Vancouver too?

undergrads

Fred's Head

Honestly? Grojband

I remember there was talk about a sequel a few years back, what happened?

it was bretty good,

Honestly? No, it really wasn't.

The episodes were so fucking formulaic, there was so much wasted potential. I get it, it's a kids show, but come, even 8 yr old me would get bored of the constant cookie-cutter plotlines.

The characters were qt though, that's all I really care about.

YOU CAN RUN WITH US

such a melancholic ending, especially since the show didn't come back

Canadian cartoons are funded by the government and production companies have to make a set number of episodes regardless how well it does

why don't they use this rule to be more experimental?

Then it might cost actual money

Depends if you call it Beast Wars or Beasties

...

Could you give me the source for more info

Canadian shows get tax credits if they meet the right requirement and have a broadcast deal. If you think that's anywhere near enough these days to be experimental, you're delusional.

i never said anything about being experimental

93567941 did.

i know i just wanted to keep the thread alive

Great show. I have to find some good quality rips.

Reboot

They have an archive of all their shorts on their site

This. It's unquestionably the best Canadian cartoon ever made. The writing is so tight.

I SEE PASSION IN YOUR EYYYYES

Glad someone else knows about atomic Puppet.

Yeah, but don't worry they're at least 18 now.

Thank goodness the show is all uploaded on Youtube because that DVD is kind of lame.

The only one I've ever seen is Class of the Titans.

It was ok.

...

Aside from the obvious ones like EE&E, what I saw of Detentionaire was good.

EE&E is a Cartoon Network production. Most certainly not Canadian.

My heart's dick wants to say Ruby Gloom because of my waifu Iris, but My dick's brain wants to say Ed, Edd and Eddy because it is just funnier and most entertaining.

The creator is Canadian and it was animated in his studio in Vancouver. That's as Canadian as it gets. You don't call the other cheap shows CN commissions from Canada American.

EE&E was produced in Canada, but produced for and financed by Cartoon Network (obviously American), so it doesn't qualify as a truly pure Canadian cartoon.

Hell, I don't even think the whole series aired in Canada, just the first two seasons (but please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).

CN does NOT make Canadian shows. Ever. Stop being insane.

CN didn't make it. They bought it.

a.k.a. Cartoon actually made the show. Which is a studio in Canada.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A.k.a._Cartoon

No, it's a CN original. Do you know what "original" means?
