Sup Forums and /vg/ rejected this and told me post on Sup Forums
Being produced by the west.
I am kinda liking this show.
Castlevania on netflix

It's ok.
Yeah.
It's not gonna go far honestly. Action cartoons aren't popular in the west.
The action in this one isn't even that bad, but I agree. I don't expect a lot from this one. The fight with Alucard was kinda cool. There's just not a lot to be said about this. Everything about it is good enough, at best.
Ellis has his fingerprints everywhere, but it's mostly just an eh sorta show.
It's damning with faint praise when this one of the better game adaptations when the rest are dogshit
Then why is Voltron doing so well?
Define well.
Because exceptions exist and don't change anything about what he said.
its too uncomplete to have a veredict yet.
I would agree with you if there was a growing trend of action cartoons doing well but there isn't.
Star Wars Rebels exists too, action is as popular as it it's ever been.
The only thing that's changed is retarded execs who think comedies and episodic shit are the only things that are profitable
>Star Wars Rebels exists too
Ok.
...
>Immortal
>Can manifest with fire storms
>Magic castle
>Summons creatures from Hell
Alright, Castlevenia nerds, how do you kill this fucker permanently?
I disagree these 4 episodes give you a good idea of what's the rest going to be like.
>action is as popular as it it's ever been
Yeah, two examples are definitely as popular as they ever were, eh? This is clearly not going anywhere fast on your side of the discussion.
Fujoshits decided they liked Klance.
NuVoltron a shit.
Terrible fedoralord tripe directed by some nu-80s nostalgiafaggot
If Sup Forums doesn't like it; that means it's good. Sup Forums has garbage taste
It was 4 episodes of pure set up, we haven't gotten into the meat of the series yet.
It can honestly go either way.
Kill him REALLY hard.
Have him kill himself like in Aria of Sorrow
...
>orange julius
it just a prelude, it could totally suck at any moment, I liked some stuff but its not really that special and I can't judge it right with only 4 episodes of set up
Being immediately greenlit for 6 seasons?
I think it will just take a while for the ball to get rolling, suits are cowards and only want to dive in when it's a sure bet.
first episode didn't really grab me
Yeah, the goat fucking and the "Religion is bad" stuff screamed Warren Ellis
>"Religion is bad"
Its true tho
Am I the only one who was expecting to see some medusa heads when Trevor and Sypha were climbing that giant gear?
Giving pessants schools was a mistake.
SLUT
Just Julius his shit up senpai
What is it with Ellis and goats?
1999's the magic year
Sypha a qt here, made me hate even more the Judgement designs
come now
that's a modest reaction to alucard at best
It was ok, I would have liked to see more monster from the classic series instead of the generic demons.
Did anyone else thinks that Trevor and Sylpha could have gone directly to Alucard after they killed the cyclops and nothing on the story would have changed?
this looks like anime though and anime is definitely popular in the west
since this is a netflix exclusive especially
Not even the best Alucard
I wish Dracula's name was Mathias.
The series reminded he was an alchemist though, that was a nice touch.
Use the holy water glitch.
youtube.com
In game canon he just changed his name or something, Iga never sorted it out
Since season 2 is confirmed with 8 episodes and it's still going to be CV3, how will they pad it out?
Grant? Backstories? Romance?
torrents up yet?
yeah but everyone knows that, they could have use all that setup in doing something interesting instead of beating a dead horse. like said you could have made Trevor go directly to Alucard after the cyclops fight and the story would have not changed at all.
Easy.
Just stop buying Castlevania games and his corpse will be rotting on a pachinko machine somewhere on Tokyo.
Whats is a Fedoralord?
Lisa was a QT, too bad she died like 10 minutes into the show.
>Religion is bad
>A legit priest made holy water, which was an effective weapon
What is up with Sup Forums getting so triggered about religion lately? Any time religion is the subject of any negative characters, Sup Forums has a tumblr tier fit.
Yeah did we really an entire conversation dedicated to goat fucking what is this Afghanistan
>holy water
>throwing knives
>throwing axes
>falling through floors
>GRAND CROSS!
It wasn't amazing but the nods to the game made me giggle
>triggered
He really doesn't seem that upset about it.
did is seriously get green lit for 6 seasons?
Just because there aren't more doesn't mean they aren't popular.
The only reason there aren't more is because comedies are more "cost effective"
It's pandering to the Welshman fanbase.
I´m the only one that felt like he should have white hair?
God damn she needed more screen time
>Just because there aren't more doesn't mean they aren't popular.
If they were popular, we would be getting more of them.
Grand Cross? when?
will Dracula try to seduce Sypha because of the resemblance to Lisa?
>show says the clergy is evil because they use religion for power
>they even use holy water and salted weapons later to fight demons
>"hurr it's saying religion is bad"
He's still just about 21 here, he can have it in the SOTN season when he's centuries old
I think he's talking about the giant wooden cross he used to escape from the villagers.
Not really a reference to the boomerang cross we're used to in the games.
After he throws the axe, it catches on a giant cross and he drops it on the crowd. Bit of a stretch I guess
>Literally the next part of my post
I don't know what I was expecting
gay porn and western fushojis.
Ok folks tell what are your hopes for season two what castlevania monster would you want to see once they get to the castle.
If they were popular, they would be more cost effective because people would be paying for it in larger numbers. I know you're kind of trying, but you can do better than this, can't you?
You think the execs wouldn't work out a way to make action shows cost effective?
I normally really like this kind of dated stupidity, but this makes me mad for some reason
The demon points out why the bishop was an asshole and that God wasn't on his side. Wasn't bashing religion at all but the people who do evil in God's name.
Kojima always drew Alucard slightly blonde. The tone by itself is very subtle, but compare it with Soma's hair.
My guess is all of the above.
Which is perfectly fine with me. Four episodes felt way too short for a first season anyway, and I love the approach they're taking with the whole thing.
Just wish Trevor's VA wasn't so damn quiet so much.
you can't, you "kill him" and then have a few generations to prepare for his next coming. In the meantime, use that time to breed powerful descendants that are strong and not retarded. I suggest black african genes.
It didn't say that, Trevor just hates the Bishop who was using his power to mislead the people to try to kill innocents.
>grand cross
Eh, not really the same thing.
Still, I'm expecting or it to show up later in the series.
I will drink her warm stinky beer!
So I'm on episode 3 how and I'm wondering does the game series have so many EVIL CHURCH moments in it
You think they care? Or would give them the time and day?
JLA is literally what you're saying they should do and it's still shit on by CN, but still gets decent ratings.
Again, the market is there. But they aren't willing to tap into it
probably, but I don't think that's canon.
Yeah I know, that's what I was saying
>You think they care?
No I don't, because action cartoons are not popular right now. Welcome to the old discussion that you bumped.
Some of the later ones, I don't even think it's bashing the church, just those in power who misuse it.
You really shouldn't see what they did to Sypha
That's weird since the discussion on the inly post of this that was allowed on Sup Forums was good meanwhile the first one here was complete garbage with everyone comparing this to anime and being complete faggots about it. That said I really liked it and can't wait for more.
...
(You) did though, as if mentioning religion negatively kills an aspect of the show.
I am gonna be honest, this guy actually looks pretty rad. He probably can do some sick tricks on a skate.
Much fewer. There are small hints here and there, while the Ellis influence cranked it up. In the games the Church is generally more neutral, producing good and bad people and having good and bad influence.
Not really, the church are allies against dracula. in the game this show is based on Sylpha is send by the vatican to kill dracula.
Why is the church so against magic it seems like a pretty fucking useful skill in a world with vampires, demons and beasts
Which version of Simon Belmont does the main guy act like?
What the fuck am I looking at? How is it possible to get a single character this wrong?
She looks more like Yoko Belnades
The game's don't really use the church as a major plot point. About the most I can think of is in Lament of Innocence and how Leon ends up leaving the church because they were too busy with the Crusades to do anything to help him.
There's also some scenes in Symphony of the Night I believe where you can get glimpses of when Alucard's mother was burned at the stake, but that's more of a backstory establishment.
That show will forever live on through memes and shitposting.
Whoa, that was fucking awesome.
I loved every minute of it.
But you're still on the shit list, Konami.
To be fair, I do kinda liking it too.
The designs are pretty neat and the story seems to be rather faithful to the series.
With that said, I have to say that the characterizations are kind of a crapshoot. Trevor is a dick and Sypha isn't really that interesting.
Also, lots of exposition and the bestiality jokes are REALLY out of place in a series like this one.
Nevertheless, I'm still looking forward the second season. I want to see if they portray Grant as the snarky mummy from Judgment or the pirate from the original game.
