idk, Season 3 just made me feel like this show is trying way too hard to be controversial, edgy, and 2deep4u.

its became absolute garbage after season 1 I'd rather spend an hour on /mlp/ than endure that flaming shitstorm of mediocrity again

It's also just going in circles with absolute zero character advancement. Netflix doesn't feel like the right place for this kind of "Always return to status quo!" bullshit.

>season3 is bad meme

When will it stop. The underwater episode is kino. Not as great as season 2. But better than the first few episodes of season 1.

Ok I think we all have differing opinions on how good each season was, I thought 1 was great, 2 was just ok and 3 was great again.

>implying you wouldn't

youtube.com/watch?v=uyYQJPSZ_bk

>tfw no porn of chubby horse daughter

when new season

I didn't think it was over emphasized that much. if anything I thought Jesse coming out as asexual felt way more out of place and unnecessary.

You mean Todd?

lost in translation indie movie parody
it was ok

I take it you never seen Breaking Bad? but yeah, I meant Todd.

Todd???

Sept 8 apparently.

>le kino
More proof that BH fans are mouth breathing retards with shit taste.

Really the only plot situation I found amusing and interesting after watching all 3 seasons was improv, and even that was mostly a generic Scientology spoof, I mostly just liked it because I'm into improv myself.

Being asexual kind of fits his character.

I never get tired of people on here who do nothing to contribute to threads other than wasting their time to fill out a capatcha just to tell other people they have shit taste with zero reasons or arguments whatsoever.

here's your (you). I think I have a gold star here somewhere, too.

>the todd is so worthless he can't even perform his most basic biological goal

...

I've enjoyed every season thus far but I think its time for the show to move in a new direction. Season 3's ending seemed promising with Bojack hopefully leaving Hollywoo and trying to live a different life. I really hope they follow through on this and don't just quickly revert to the status quo.

He didn't come out as asexual.

It would have been better handled if he just dropped it at some point, or, and I'll try not to blow any minds here, involved it in a jome.

Having a character's sole purpose for like half a season just so Todd could find himself, played totally straight, seems weird to me.

I thought it was a lot better than the second season.

>It's also just going in circles with absolute zero character advancement.

That's sorta the point of the show. It's even been explicitly pointed out once or twice that no member of the cast has a genuine interest in changing or becoming a better person. The guest characters and one-offs that actually DO care about self-improvement eventually cut BoJack and his circle of friends out of their lives because they realize that they don't want to change.

At least Season 3 seemed to end with BoJack recognizing- like, actually SEEING- the cycle he was stuck in for the first time. Granted, it seemed like he decided he wasn't strong enough to break that cycle, but at least he seems to really grasp that it's there.

I disagree but I want to hear you why you think Todd coming out was out of place/unnecessary.
I can't think of another show that handles such a topic with such grace and accuracy.

>unnecessary
How the fuck is it necessary? What does it add to the plot? It was just there to win some diversity points.
If anything, it ruins the plot because he shouldn't be mad about Bojack having sex with her gf in the first place, it would make more sense if he was actually sexually attracted to her. What does he expect her to do? To never have sex as long as they're together? It just made Todd seem like a selfish piece of shit.

>That's sorta the point of the show.
So, the point of the show is that it sucks?!?

I don't recall Moral Orel getting another season, so no

It was OK but a dialogue-free episode is babby's first artsy fart.

Downer Ending best 11th Episode

Saying he 'came out' is very much an incorrect reading of that scene--the entire exchange was him being forced to think about something he'd never really dedicated much introspection towards, and realizing a possibility about himself.

Because putting trendy minorities in your TV show does not automatically make it interesting.

It makes him a more interesting character
>Diversity points
Baloney
>It makes no sense he would be mad at having sex with his gf
Your best friend having sex with your childhood friend whom you have great emotional trust with behind your back would make you angry too
>Selfish
She was the one who felt guilty about it

That scene was one of the bigger flops of the third season. All all the things Bojacks has done, having consensual sex with Todd's not girlfriend is so fucking terrible? Because she won't come around to BOJACK's house anymore? That Todd was using rent-free to run a business?

Todd finally getting angry at Bojack was a big bullet and they were totally off-target.

>It makes him a more interesting character

The reason Todd got mad at Bojack for sleeping with her is because he knew Bojack was going to make it weird/ fuck it up. Like not wanting your friend to bang your sister .As for plot, well it actually gives Todd something to develop other than insane money venture weeklies.

I thought it made it more impactful, honestly, because that's how it is when you finally get fed up with a friend. You let the little things slide, and you keep letting them slide, and gradually they get bigger, and worse, and you keep letting them go, because they're your friend and you don't want to confront them. When you finally snap, it's not always over some big, especially egregious thing, it can happen just as easily over something comparatively inconsequential that just happens to be the last straw.

>kino
I wish this meme would end.

>Baloney
>that spelling
Your opinion on every topic of discussion possible is now invalid. Stop replying to me.

Who gets this season's F bomb?

Bojack

Why didn't Wanda appear in Season 3?

...

>The reason Todd got mad at Bojack for sleeping with her is because he knew Bojack was going to make it weird/ fuck it up.
Did he do anything after they fucked? I just recall her "making it weird" by not wanting to be around Bojack.

Please don't force your politics into this season
Please don't force your politics into this season
Please, please, please.
We don't need your take on last year.

It's been a while since I watched but from what I remember, both Bojack and Emily acted awkwardly, with Bojack doing that whole "what are yooooou doing here?" shtick.

We all know Bojack will. And then Todd will. And then they will fight over it.

She's fat.

When is Bojack gonna fuck Mr Peanutbutter?

Too late.
It's confirmed that they will focus on Trump.

OP of here and you pretty much took the words out of my mouth. If Todd was so concerned with Bojack banging his off he should've grew a pair and came out earlier instead of conveniently in the final episode. it came outa nowhere, too. sure there were some signs here and there sprinkled throughout the season, but not once did they dedicate more than just that, a couple seconds of hints here and there. no buildup whatsoever. just a drop of diversity pandering. it was stupid as fuck.

>Absolute zero character development
Except, you know, when Bojack takes a vested interest in saving seahorse baby. When he sees the vicious cycle of fame and drug abuse that takes one of the only people who truly understood him out of his life. When he abandons his friends and family out of a realization that he is the primary source of their misery.

How are any of those things not character development?

What politics do you think they forced?

The hot topics of last year.

Todd wouldn't, he's asexual

Peanutbutter was already going to run for mayor. There's no stopping the political angle, even if its only a side thing.

He will, because the writer will just forget.

Delayed because Drumpf's not my president

I think if they used Bojack sparingly and wherever he is, they use him traveling as a framing device while focusing on the other characters, this season could be really interesting.

But I feel like, between the daughter tease and PB running for mayor, they're going to hamfist a bunch of cliches and nothing will change and it really won't be very funny.

I love how hilariously autistic /mlp/ is

I think it was fine

Todd might not be malicious but he's not a healthy human being either

kek.

>literally "dude im so depressed lmao xD" the series
There is nothing comic about that spineless horse.

If we get an episode like the underwater episode, I'd be content
I really enjoyed that one

why would i care who my best friend is sleeping with. how does that impact my life in any way? are you arguing that your trying to look out for your childhood friend because if that's the case sleeping with someone you call your "best friend" should be a good thing right? instead of some random stranger.

Bojack's not fun for me to watch...television, animation especially, is an escapist form to me...it shouldn't be used to make normal people depressed and the pre-depressed feel like drinking themselves to death...

i thought Sup Forums liked bojack

We grew up

I didn't but then I grew up

I have a feeling bojack will do be doing good for once during the next season and then somehow todd will bang her and cause bojack to go off the deep end either try to kill tod or kill himself.

>can wait to say sad things about my life xDD
>i am just like bojack ;(
Bojack threads were so cancerous. S3 was mediocre , it was basically a season about nothing. At least they tried with S2.

Don't take Sup Forums's crossboarding contrarian shitposting at face value.

That's the point. Bojack doesn't have some sort of new age revelation that suddenly changes who he is and makes him a better person. It's a show about a broken man, the people who surround him, the circumstances that got him there, and what he does next. It isn't a happy story and it's supposed to go back to the status quo because it is still at it's heart a parody of sitcom formulas. The punchline being that every time Bojack asks "how can things get any worse?" they always do, and he always fails. It's the opposite of what a sitcom typically is.

>announcing a new premiere date five days before the usual season premiere
Full retard.

I did before it went to shit

So now ar we pretending that we always hated Bojack Horseman because it's getting marginally too popular?

I've enjoyed the show since the first season, which I maintain is the best season of the show, and I can only see this season as being bad if they shoehorn in some lame, played-out, unfunny MUH TRUMP angle as seemed to be hinted at by the writers.

>So now ar we pretending that we always hated Bojack Horseman because it's getting marginally too popular?

Or maybe people just don't like it anymore?

I still do, but when you realize just how far Bojack is in his hole, how unchanging he is, well; youtu.be/Tvy0AnpPWJw

Because you can't really "come out" as asexual. I mean, I guess you can but I imagine most people will feel pretty ambivalent about it. I'm sure asexuals have their own hardships to face but being discriminated against is not one of them. Hell, noone could even tell you're asexual if you just tell them you're not currently in a relationship. It's not like with gay people where they have to hide being in a relationship if they don't want to know people they're gay. Asexuqls don't have that weird way of speaking some gay people develop either, so that doesn't give them away either.

I don't know if you've been on Sup Forums for very long, but people love to take contrarian positions on here when something gets too popular.

Just take a look at some of the crappy reasoning to dislike the show in this thread despite it remaining fairly consistent in quality.

Is that just a rumor, or will they actually focus their attention to current U.S. politics? If so, I'm not looking forward to this season, at all.

Season 1 was great. Season 2 was unnecessary but generally fine. Season 3 was mostly bad with redeeming qualities. And now Season 4 isn't looking great. It gets to a point where you only really love some percentage of the show.

Is there a quick gif of this?

Transformers is also popular and we hate on that, what's your point? Usually more popular things face scrutiny

polygon.com/2016/12/28/14098716/bojack-horseman-trump-season-4

My point is that Bojack Horseman is nearing or has passed the threshold of popularity where people on here all complain about minor things as if they are ruining the entire series along with people coming out of the woodwork to claim how they always hated the series.

Also, I guess you are talking about the Michael Bay Transformers movies, and not so much the cartoon series, because they seem to be talked about somewhat fondly on here. I mean, I've seen more people claim they love Beast Wars than I have people complain about it.

I'm talking about the movies, but obviously the more people who watch something the more people will come out to say they don't like it. If you expect constant praise you're genuinely not going to get it here, especially for an okish Netflix cartoon

>read this
>decide to take a peak
>they're shitting on /tlhg/ for not being totally banned from Sup Forums
Top kek, what a bunch of sore losers.

There's no such thing as asexual in terms of human beings. He's just broken and apathetic.

You really need to learn to read before using a text centric forum. Season 4 is going to be about Trump. 4. Not 3, which was already written.

Wait which season is this, I recently just watched all the episodes at once

This IS Season 4 coming out

Well I guess this means the show ends part way through season 4.

Yeah so we are reaching the point where it has gone from being a relatively unknown show where everyone on here just couldn't get enough of it to people just baselessly complaining about it because it's somewhat popular.

I'm not expecting people to just praise it constantly for existing, the show has a fair few flaws worth pointing out, but I'm tired of the attitude on this website for people to just write shows/movies/games/whatever off for really shitty reasons and clearly doing so to try and look like they are "above" whatever they are shitting on. I mean, I don't like the Monster Hunter games, but I don't wade into threads about them loudly complaining about how I think they are shitty and that people should play unspecified better games, I just avoid the threads and don't go into them to complain.

>relatively unknown

Most people on this board knew of this show, it's just that most people haven't watched if

I'm talking about when it first came out, it wasn't a widely talked about show before it was released and was panned by critics as mediocre when it was.

>Although Bob-Waksberg said there wouldn’t be as much of this in season four, due to the show already being written, if they were granted a fifth season, he wouldn’t let that opportunity pass him by.
Learn to read you fucking troglodyte.
