What was the point of this movie

Everything is just recreated from original movie, it's not a parody or anything creative or for laughs. It's original movie+Tom & Jerry running all over the place, something like Star Wars special edition(original movie plus distracting cgi)

This is not new for Tom and Jerry

They did the same thing with Wizard of Oz

The point of the movie was to make money from bargain bin diggers and some kind of legal bullshit with keeping MGM's properties relevant so they can hold onto the rights or some nonsense. There is nothing beyond that.

Could they have accomplished those goals in a better way? Probably, but that might've taken effort and creativity, and this apparently didn't deserve those kinds of valuable resources.

...

Either that or money laundering scheme as many movies are often get accused of.

But my money goes on being an excuse to keep the rights to the properties, just in case they want to make a big reboot in the future or some shit.

will they even earn monies by this shit?

>dem buck teeth
UNF

>Probably, but that might've taken effort
In fairness, at least the 2D animation is decent, if weird sometimes.

Did they really burn up Tom in the furnace? Man, Tom and Jerry is some DARK shit!

Tom's been through worse.

>The movie would have been the same without Tom and Jerry

Hearing Kath Soucie doing the trippy boat ride scene was kinda funny to me, especially when she says Hell

>Left Tom to fucking DIE
Has this Cat suffered enough??

This movie has a goldmine of Reaction Images.

Please post more.

>Star Wars special edition(original movie plus distracting cgi)

>(you)

...

Someone inflation fetishist just wanted to make another remake of the blueberry scene.

I bet Dobson will love it

The chewing gum girl got my knob right hard

>distracting cgi
wat

...

I don't know if he's talking about the fizzy drinks room scene (which did had some pretty awful CGI work) or he's rambling on about the SW special editions.

...

He's referring to re-releases of Star Wars that add in distracting things using CGI.

This looks like something Shadman would have drawn

OP is talking about the late 90's Original Trilogy Star Wars Special Editions that are the official versions of the movies, while the theatrical mostly unedited versions are not available in any legal way or format beyond bonus disc DVDs that was actually a reissues of the Laserdisc versions.

The SE added a lot of Episode I-CGI-nonsense because at that point George Lucas went mad with all the power and money he got and told people "you know what? these are the films I intended all along fuck you all and mostly fuck my ex-wife"

Still waiting for Tom and Jerry John Carpenter's The Thing.

Imagine this scene but with Red Hot

They get to do their life's dream(?) of animating, minus all that hard work of creating an idea, a plot, or hooking in a large fanbase that will cash out no matter how bad your shit will be

Having read the Squeak the Mouse storytime the other day, I'd be down for this

...

>JP Karliak as Willy Wonka

Damn this guy gets his start on wabbit and now he's already got a titular role in a feature film.

...

Hey, wait a minute isn't Warner Bros Japan making the Diamond is Unbreakable movie? I smell a niche market ready to be milked!

post yfw jerry was the thing all along

Cannot wait for every jojo part to have a Tom&Jerry retelling

>Tom and Jerry and Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory and your fat fucking mom and her second husband
how is this a good idea

Why did you post a picture of a clos- Oh shit! Spooky!

Ya know, someone drew a Tom and Jerry thing about the Titanic disaster

>Warner Bros Japan making the Diamond is Unbreakable movie
>jojofags on Sup Forums

The unholy union of Jojo and Bane draws near, gay porn is inevitable.

the next thing you're going to say is, "at least you can talk"

holy shit I forgot how bad CGI Jabba looked
I still stand by the scene having a place in the movie, but if you can't make a scene not look like ass you should hold onto it until you can do it justice, or more likely just put it in a deleted scenes reel and be done with it

holy shit that audio on the song
was there no editor on this, just some guy stitching together files?

So, Tom dies then.

i have many

Actually, most of the inflation fetishists are angry that the inflation scene was shit.

...

What she needs is some good old fashioned discipline. A hard spanking and some harsh words would do her good.

His smile reminds me of something.

She is so cute

...

Some of the animation is actually pretty good considering (it's damn inconsistent) but this is one of the worst and most pointless things I've ever seen. Literally just the original movie redrawn which would actually be worth---something in and of itself as just a for fun, fan thing where you see what the movie would have looked liked as a cartoon. But the way Tom and Jerry are shoehorned in is so painful. No attempt to reconcile the two plots so it's literally on the level of taking the original movie and photoshopping shitty pictures of Tom and Jerry into the background just because. Jesus Christ.

It's actually somehow worse than I expected.

did tom died?

If I see that fucking stand one more time...

>blush
>tooth gap
>pig nose
>ugly
my god you're right. all it needs is a piercing and you're all set

I knew someone would screencap it

...

Tom and Jerry in Schindler's list when?

Is it bad that I unironically enjoy the artstyle of this movie? Mainly for the human characters, the style is kind of nostalgic and refreshing among modern cartoons.

Trust me, NO animator wants to work with that unholy art style.

Over complicated?

DICKY MOE

Are these Tom and Jerry cartoons true kino?

...

>unholy art style.
????

It has a better art style than the calarts shit today.

>tfw no Crisis on Infinite Cats where every single incarnation of Tom teams up to kill Jerry, then almost win by the closest percentage

That film should have ended at the 30 minuite mark

Its meh but also enjoyable, would watch with the kids

Now THESES are something I want to watch

I can't wait for the new show where Tom invents a timer device and Jerry chases him as he slides through parallel worlds

The film could've gone for 30 minutes more.

I need more of this.

So does this and this and for that matter this Maybe that's the secret. Someone out there wanted to give Shad an animation job so they bankrolled a movie.

How would it be resolved in that short time?

No I mean you would not even have to edit it.
The 30 minute mark was where they first thought they had killed it. A nice slow burn horror leading to a cresendo of teamwork.

Only a true patrician can appreciate Deitch's series

I'm still waiting for Tom & Jerry in Full Metal Jacket one day.

...

I never saw the original Wonka movie, but I saw the original "I want it now" scene and they're the EXACT SAME.

This isn't even the first time I've watched the knock-off first.
