With great power comes great responsibility

>With great power comes great responsibility.
This is nothing but slave morality, attempting to siphon power away from the people who've earned it, to the powerless.
The only responsibility powerful men have is to enrich their own lives, and if that includes rightfully subjugating the powerless then so be it.
The less worthy will always attempt to steal from the powerful, and they need to be put down and taught who their masters are like the filthy dogs they are.

k

You have the power to make better threads, and yet you misuse that power.

BETER

But what happens to someone with that mentality, when someone much bigger and stronger and more powerful comes along to wreck their shit?

for the answer to your question read

Go to bed, Norman.

Except Peter did nothing to earn his power besides get (un)lucky.

The problem is that no matter how powerful any one individual is, there's always someone more powerful who's willing to rally the oppressed masses to take power held by someone else, so being an asshole with your power will only get you killed.

well looks like someone read the AD&D DM manual about lawful evil

>People who've earned it
A good bulk of heroes, Spidey included, either get their powers by chance or by birth. Worthiness tends to have nothing to do with it just like in real life (the powerful tend to be so due to not only their efforts but outside variables far beyond their control)

Fuck off back to Russia, Ayn.

I'd say most popular super heroes have demonstrated their worthiness through their repeated sacrifices.

What about the white man's burden?

Ayn Rand was right. The less wealthy are evil ingrate parasites who steal mercilessly from the real producers and innovators who have made our worthless shit hole of a planet tolerable to live on. The socialist systems the west is suffering under today are nothing but pyramid schemes relying on eternally expanding population growth. It's all falling apart now, which is why Europe is importing millions of low IQ savages in a panic to save their sinking ship. The masses are mindless cattle who ride on the coattails of the accomplishments of a very few number of great men, and they imagine these accomplishments to be their own. Why would any rational human being allow the masses any say in the role or activities in government when they will always do nothing but vote the entire nation into utter ruin? We need a totalitarian dictatorship who advocates for a free market, we need a Pinochet to cleanse our countries of this genetically dysfunctional communist filth.

Those without power then have the responsibility to take it, at any cost, from the bourgeoisie to secure a better future. Enjoy your class warfare, faggot, you won't survive it.

>t. Libertarian party

>Ayn Rand was right.

Stopped reading right there

>With white power, comes white responsibility
God damn Rami

Ayn Rand was a pissy little hypocrite.

Might Makes Right isn't sustainable across iterative scenarios. If you base your morality on the powerful being allowed to put down and subjugate the less worthy it is an inevitability that you will eventually be one of those less worthy at the hands of someone even more powerful. It's in your own best interest to break that cycle.

If I become less powerful, then I deserve to be subjugated by some stronger and smarter than me. That's how natural selection works. The weak should fear and obey the strong. Anything less than that is dysgenic and unnatural.

You say that while shitposting on an anonymous imageboard but not when you are being stomped under the boot.

It's not shitposting. I'm posting deep observations about the fundamentals about human nature, evolution, and the inherent need for a darwinist morality. It's goldposting if anything.

>You don't get it! I'm DEEP now!

>I'm posting deep observations about the fundamentals about human nature, evolution, and the inherent need for a darwinist morality.

You are only proving your own inferior intellect with these lacking posts.

>"You know Peter, with great power comes great responsibility. Rudyard Kipling called it "White Man's Burden". Myself, I just call it as I see it: the responsibility of the master to discipline the servant."
>Ben looks directly at the camera
>"The niggers, the spics, the chinks...It's our responsibility to civilize them. And if we can't? Then they shall dangle from the elm tree. The Day of the Rope is near, Pete. We'll have every nigger in this country dead or in chains in 10 years, and may God have me shot in a carjacking this very night if I'm wrong. God bless the American Nazi Party."

I remember watching this scene in 2002 as a boy, it felt like Uncle Ben was talking right to me. Raimi was on another level with this film.

>Ayn Rand makes a philosophy where everyone is a selfish asshole that only do things that benefit themselves and nobody should care about others
>Expects people in this society to follow "the rules" and NAP without any government or anyone to enforce said rules
I just don't get it

Good point, but that doesn't really have much to do with how they got their powers in the first place.

>Survival of the fittest
Oh so you're just a retard and literally don't know what that phrase means.

Survival of the fittest describes the ability to fit into an ecological niche, not mere strength or power. Furthermore, you're bringing natural selection, an amoral process, into an argument about morality. You state that the strongest get to dominate the weak because that's how natural selection (an end result of all organisms competing to survive) works, implying that adhering to and not interfering with natural selection is moral. You then posit that an organism acting in it's own long term self interest to survive is immoral. The currently strongest electing to create a system where he survives now because he's strongest, and survives later despite being dethroned by a stronger individual, is Darwinism epitomized and by your own logic should be the highest moral good.

Thanks, Ayn Rand.

Funny you should ask

Andrew Ryan? Is that you? Get off the fucking internet, your fucking city has gone to shit. Fix it!

why post on Sup Forums

can't you create something better

moot built this board in his bedroom with a box of scraps, surely you can do better

So they've demonstrated their worthiness... by using their abilities for the public good rather than using their good fortune for self-enrichment?

Hierarchies based strictly on power are inherently unstable because the individuals just below you and only moderately weaker than you form alliances that are several magnitudes stronger than you.

But... but that's altruism! Nobody would ever willingly cooperate with someone else to better their mutual positions when they could better their own position instead!

Meant for

Your immorality leads to socialism and communism. Let that sink in for a moment.

Sorry user but chimp packs disagree.

I like the burning hut variation better

What about my generous proposal? Are you in or are you out?

It's you who's out gobby...

OUT OF YOUR MIND!

The fantasy of the self-made man is just that: a fantasy. No man can succeed alone.

Success relies not only on one's skills and actions, but on those of the peopke around him, on the health of his society.

If the community that supports his base needs collapses so too do the man's achievements and ability.

As for free market capitalism, it has been proven over and over that people are not rational fullt-informed operators and that without regulation inequality quickly grows leading to social instability.

No it doesn't. Communism was founded on the dissolution of a hierarchy and the equality of all. I'm advocating for a fairly divisive and steep hierarchy of prestige, the polar opposite of communism.

If your hierarchy is established on raw physical might it means 1) you will inevitable be disposed when someone stronger comes around and 2) your hierarchy is unstable because it will constantly overturn because of populace revolts. A leader may be the strongest individual but his power is a microscopic fraction of the combined might of the populace together.

The leader instead sets up a system where everyone benefits mutually (though not to the same degree) despite the existence of a hierarchy, not because he dissolves the hierarchy. He benefits by being leader, he benefits from the people not overthrowing him because it's in their own best interest to be led by him, and he benefits because he'll inevitably ceases being leader at some point, and his life won't be hell when that happens.

Also, you never addressed the contradiction in your own moral argument I put forward in the last post. You simply said "that idea gives way to communism and socialism" (which it doesn't) but failed to address the fact that by your own logic the idea put forth was moral. You merely dismissed it based on the end result not being what you wanted.

It must have been tough typing all of that with one hand
