No, no- EXCUSE ME, Jeb!

>Adventure Time
>aired at a time when it's biggest competition on the channel was Regular Show
>never managed to beat Spongebob or even FOP ratings wise
>theatrical movie that was canned because the show fell out of importance so abruptly
>ushered in an era of ugly art, lolsorandom quirky humor, and leepest dore that ultimately ends up being a cocktease

>The Loud House
>entered into an era of harsh competition with Steven Universe, Spongebob, Star vs, Gumball
>skullfucked all of them in the ratings
>already has a theatrical movie on the way
>has been talked about in the news
>returned us to the era of calm, slice of life cartoons with well timed humor and morals

Do you seriously watch shows like Gravity Falls and think "Wow, this would have never been possible with Adventure Time!" ?
Yeah. Maybe one show at a time had an overarching plot before Adventure Time, now almost every popular cartoon now (star vs, SU, Gravity Falls just to name a few) have one. Also, a good cartoon with a female MC were almost non existant before MLP, and now no one blinks an eye if thats the case with a cartoon now.

Teen Titans Go.

>lore heavy shows didn't exist before Adventure Time
>female MCs didnt exist before MLP
Wow, and I thought millennials were bad.

I said they were much more uncommon, not nonexistent.

It started the modern trend. No one is claiming that it was the first.

fpbp
it defined what 2010 cartoons are

They are about as common then as they are now.

>Before adventure time
teen titans
avatar TLAB
>post adventure time
Symbionic Titan
Star vs.
SU
Gravity Falls
Over the Garden Wall

I don't watch cartoons, but I have jacked off way more to Korra then any other porn.

Adventure Time saved Western Animation.

The only thing that actually has anything to do with TLH's importance there is
>has been talked about in the news
and I can't help but notice you conveniently glossed over that for your list of points about AT. It doesn't matter if you don't like the era that it ushered in, the fact that it fucking ushered in an era is what makes AT more important.

Sym bionic titan was really episodic though like samurai jack

What makes a show "important"?

older cartoons like Teddy Ruxpin, Transformers, G.I Joe, Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, Adventures of The Galaxy Rangers, Inhumanoids, Jem, ThunderCats (both versions) , DuckTales, and then later with shows such The Legend of Prince Valiant, Invasion America, Princess Gwenevere and the Jewel Riders, X-Men, Spiderman, Iron Man, Fantastic Four, Incredible Hulk, Double Dragon, King Arthur and The Knights of Justice, Shadow Raiders, The Pirates of Dark Water, Conan the Adventurer, Exosquad, Phantom 2040, Beast Wars, Gargoyles, Reboot, Superman TAS, Silver Surfer, Batman Beyond, Xyber 9: New Dawn, Redwall, XMen Evolution, As Told By Ginger, TMNT (later 1987 series episodes and 2003 series), He-Man (both 1983 and 2002 versions), Jackie Chan Adventures, Static Shock, Justice League/Unlimited, Argai: The Prophecy, Chris Colorado, WITCH, Xiaolin Showdown, Danny Phantom, Codename Kids Next Door, Teen Titans, American Dragon (Season 2), Kim Possible (Season 4), Avatar: The Last Airbender, Transformers Animated, Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2003 and 2008 series)/Rebels, Ben 10 (OS and UAF), The Batman, Legion of Superheros, Total Drama, Speed Racer The Next Generation, Wolverine and The X-Men, Spectacular Spiderman, Iron Man: Armored Adventures have definite continuity and a story that moves forward. You would never understand future episodes without watching older ones.

Influence.

Mlp influenced the most

Influence on the animation industry at large, cultural impact, recognition by people that aren't directly interested in the show, short-term and long-term legacy

Explain.

Fucking this, while AT definitely had a strong impact on animation this decade, to claim that it was responsible for making cartoons with overarching plots more palatable to Western animation is absurd.

The fandom that our board is responsible go so popular and loyal to the source material, that it has more art, original music, animations, fan projects, and cons practically more than any western fandom in the 2010's.

Just a reminder that homosexuality is neither noble nor virtuous and that its advocates miscast bad behavior as good behavior in the name of personal freedom.

Fuck off.

Adventure Time and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

>Internet culture

While i do agree there was a peak no other cartoon achieved at the time i don't think internet culture amounted to much in those days or even today, they did manage to make a small dent in culture, and that's huge, but in other every aspect they i don't think they amounted to much. And for all its popularity, what exactly did it do? The only people being influenced end up being a bunch of teens and adults that just want to copy or being part of MLP, not make a show "Like" with its artstyle or writing, just "MLP: Season 9001 - Featuring my very special OC, do not steal", it didn't really afected other networks, there was no rush to make the "Next MLP" and try to cash out on this and as much as its fandom might like to believe it wasn't a game changer becouse it was already a otherwise bland show well executed that one could't really compare to others but also didn't stand out much from others like it becouse it was just the same ideas but executed well. It made the news a couple of times but normies will remember the show as "The one my little niece and 50million wierdos watch" if even that.

What im trying to say is that, while its achievement with its fandom reach a peak no one might reach, it was also its only achivement, one that doesn't amount to much in the end, it left a really huge print in the mud but also a very shallow one, like Pokemon GO.

the only reason TLH gets so many viewers and attention is because it's the ONLY decent cartoon on Nickelodeon right now

>there was no rush to make the "Next MLP"
Remember that failed Care Bears reboot?

It's Lastman, but you amerifags will never see it.

>there was no rush to make the "Next MLP"
At the very least I remember the carebears, the Barbie CG show and and that shitty disney princess pets line were exactly attempts to do that

Teekyuu.

>Remember that failed Care Bears reboot?

No.

>exactly attempts to do that

They were trying to sell toys, a thing they been trying to do since the 80's with transformers, like i said, it didn't change a damn thing

Jesus fucking christ can you talk like a normal user already?
If you're not intelligent then quit pretending you are, you fucking pseudo intellectual. Why do you ponychanners and nu/b/tards always have to be so pretentious and lazy? Word your garbage more carefully and simple. You sound like shit.

>you fucking pseudo intellectual

You thought i was trying to sound intellectual? What word trigger you?

We joked around back in 2010 about this new generation enjoying and nostalgia-ing over this Tumblr/SJW garbage written by retards and talentless hacks with various mental issues who only got in charge of their cartoon show to not offend the mentally handicapped. Just like the gipsyes behind the new PPG.

We dramatized about there not being anymore quality hand drawn animation.
About there no longer being veteran teachers willing to teach you how to animate.
We had these mentally insane people influence the entire entertainment industry: books(sex and dorks), video games(ugly women, poor gameplay), comic books, cartoons, music(cheap dubstep, synth voices, horrible voices and people who refuse to sing).
Let's not forget tv series and movies like Aliens Prometheus. If the SJW didn't get to the product, then the SJW got to the creator (Samurai Jack and Legend of Korra) and fucked up everything by shoving unwanted characters or making them stupid as hell.

The Flash theatrical movie ended up feeling like the tv series in its original pitch.
The Harry Potter movies 5-8 were garbage.

Chowder is a horrible show and so is Flapjack. These 2 started the trash and hypocritical and idiotic morals: It's okay to be fat and stupid, it's okay to be pushed and ordered around.

If by 2020 this generation's taste doesn't change and the retards don't get put into their place then prepare for 1 hundred years of dark ages where we will end up eating our own shit, stop bathing and develop diseases because apparently soap is bad by this generation's standards. And anything good is now bad as seen by these introverts and idiots who enjoy being degenerates.

>These 2 started the trash and hypocritical and idiotic morals: It's okay to be fat and stupid, it's okay to be pushed and ordered around.

Those were presented as jokes not as actual morals, if anything those shows give way to the wave of ironic humor and ironic morals

>resurrecting a week old thread
>copy-pasting some of the various responses to ti (including one of mine for some reason) just so you can LARP actually having a thread that didnt go to page 10 after 3 posts
This is just embarrassingly sad.

somebody is butt-hurt... and not just from the pounding they got last night

Holy SHIT it's hilarious how much this shit matters do them.

no shit it's teenage millennials

Obviously this.

Castlevania.

Created the most retarded fandom on the internet along with sonic and furries.

>No.
Right. But for a short time, they were trying to imitate Mlp's success by rebooting Care Bears (in 3d no less). I don't remember what the actual word was, but they tried to establish some equivalent of the word "brony" to instigate a fan culture like that one, without having a proper product to show for it. Thankfully it sank pretty quickly, but I remember how funny it was how they tried to desperately catch that magic without knowing what made Mlp so succesful (i.e. good writing).

steven universe and the loud house, the latter to a broader extent because SU uses aliens as an analogy for gay people

for giving a fair representation of gender/sexual equality in television. in today's media only cartoons could have done it and just like the civil rights movement and women's liberation, it is one of the biggest issues of our times.

Care-bros?

Undeniably this

I don't know, Castlevania?

teen titans go
