sonic was never good

F

PENDERS!

But what about Sonic Mega Drive? WHAT ABOUT SONIC MEGA DRIVE?

Good.

Good.

marios better

It was shit after the reboot anyway. Probably for the best.

good, maybe next they can kill off sonic as a whole

Neither were you, but that didn't stop you from posting now, did it?

>Sega finally getting his revenge after 25+ years
Revenge is a dish best served in cold, they said.

it was shit after creation

It's fitting that an autist brought down the Sonic comics

So.....what does this mean for Mega Man?

I am likely super wrong on this, but depending on how the contracts are set up Sega might just get all the rights to the Archie comics and just print the last Mega Drive under their new comic team.

Nothing apparently.

user I'm not sure where you were for this but Mega Man died in a stampede months ago. There were no survivors.

I'd swear revenge for this too.

You got up to Mega Man 3. Be happy you got that.

So this the power of concentrated autism

>le Sonic is always shit meme
Anyways, ABT posted this on his twitter

>ABT
>Not one of the GOOD artists like Yardley or Bates or Hesse

Whatever.

Why do they look like they're planning an evil scheme?

>ABT
>Not good
I love all of the ones you mentioned too, but please.

Wonder if Penders fears for his life knowing the backlash is gonna all flood onto him

Nah. Believe it or not, Penders still has a sizable defense squad who still send him fanmail and protect him from criticism.

Yeah... about that.

If anything Penders is probably more disappointed that this effectively depreciates the value of his characters.

F

well,at least we can have closure now

How about we just post our favourite moments from the comic. Incoming page dump

Say goodnight to the bad guy, everyone. Eggman will never be intimidating again.
I like Boom Eggman and think Pollock does excellent work, by the way. I just liked having threatening Eggman in the comics as one last leftover of the Adventure games.

please tell me this is an edit

I hope he does so Sega can sue him to oblivion.

Sega would most likely say fuck it and continue with the Reboot while Penders tries to sell his merch.

BEST VILLAIN

>Not posting the whole image

tad to high atm to think straight

Gotta go ____

Why do people think "threatening" and "intimidating" are the same thing, again?

>It was shit after the reboot anyway.

Lolno. The reboot made it actually readable. Got rid of those shitty penders abominations, for one thing.

...

175 and 176 were pure Kino

This.

Sonic has always been mediocre garbage. It's embarrassing he has such an undeserved status as a gaming icon.

What an original observation.

It had finally become good after the reboot.

Sonic 2 is like the only good sonic game!

He's so fucking lame even for a classic game character too. An anthro hedgehog with minor speedster powers makes about as much sense an Italian plumber who eats flowers and mushrooms to get temporary superpowers, but Mario make sup for it by having a fairly likable personality as a mute yet determined and optimistic hero. Sonic just kind of spouts one-liners and acts like he's hot shit.

Guys... any drawfags here?

Let's coordinate with Sup Forums and /vg/ to make a thank you card from all of us, to everyone involved in the comics (minus penders ) or at least the entire 160 issue and beyond staff. I think it would be appropriate.

In all honesty, I'm curious if SEGA's gonna bother taking it to another publisher. For all we know, they may just do the comics in-house, like they did those Sonic Channel comics last year.

(You)

CHRONIC THE HEDGEHOG

Are you sure they aren't just trolling him to entice him to do more stupid shit

Again, this was the last published page to have the characters from the show. The following three issues were adaptations of the classic games due to the anniversary.

And this was the final page of the final issue published, just one issue away from the actual intended end of the arc.

Who drew this issue?

Actually, the first issue of GOAH featured kid versions of those characters. Including what may or may not have been Sally's father. And while was the last main issue, the last one published was the end of the The Chaotix universe arc.

Embarrassing for who, though?

I think you're severely overestimating this comic's fanbase.

/vg/ can fuck off, they stole our storytimes.

>Freedom Fighterfags and waifufags getting thoroughly BTFO
>we'll finally get a real reboot of the comic with a most likely better publisher

Today was a good day.

Tracy Yardley.

I feel like you're underestimating how many people would be pissed at him for no reason other than everyone else is doing it.

It was already planned and over with.

Aw, it was a good run! The Flynn stuff was pretty solid.

I have his address.

Okay, no /vg/ and let's keep it Sup Forums for now...

I think Yardley knows Ian so he can send it to him. But I think at the very least we should make something to print and mail to one of them. It was Ian and Tracey who started what we fell in love with, and since they are also the ones that ended it in a way, it seems appropriate.

I'm sad because I loved these comics as a kid, but I honestly hadn't been interested in them in years. Even before the reboot the Mecha Sally plot was just dragging on way too long, and then right as they were about to go into the Ixis Masterworks stuff I was actually interested in the reboot came and stripped away a lot of the worldbuilding. I know it also got rid of a lot of clusterfuck left over from the comic's dark ages, but in the process a lot of stuff I was attached to from childhood was gone too.

To Ian's credit, he was doing a good job building up the reboot's new world (and Unleashed was a smart way to do it). But the problem was it was mostly JUST worldbuilding without much of a story beyond a loose Unleashed adaptation.
I liked the Naugus stuff though.

Mostly I just missed Finitevus.

So anyway, sad to see it go for the memories, but my interest in it these last few years hadn't been what it was anyway.

>It wasn't time, sales, or completion that ultimately ended the Sonic Archie comics' run. It was a fat, 70's pornstar lookin', rat-faced fuck
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Glad Flynn moved onto Sonic Boom. Maybe he'll eventually be a writer for the games. He writes Sonic very well.

Oh, and the "who caused Silver's flooded future where he served a maybe repenting Mogul?" plot too. I was really interested in that too.

Forget the user who said no /vg/. ABT just posted in /sthg/ & there's a lot of drawfags there.

He made me fall in love with the character.

you honestly believe sega won't use the same mandates they used on archie for the new publisher?

Then let's include everyone then. When did ABT post?

>Sonic and Honey are on the set of the latest, greatest(?) super hero show — Sonic Man Heroes! But when Dr. Eggman crashes the scene, ranting and raving about creative differences, things get very interesting! Featuring cover art by comics extraordinaire Tracy Yardley and a “Arcade” variant by Sonic comics legend Patrick Spaziante!"
It hurts to know we may never read this.

...

For me it's all about Nicole the Holo-Lynx. Pretty much her whole arc! They managed to turn a tricorder into one of my favorite characters

Worse mandates, if anything

Just like they used them in Lego Movie which is a one-off so doesn't count and Boom which is a different continuity?

The Megaman Crossover!

That is how life works, user, but take heed, this does not mean life is over for the Sonic comics or their stories and characters. I'm sure Sega in the end owns the absolute rights to the story.

Damn, just when I was about to get into the comics too after playing the games.

I said that as one says "they stole our clay"
Gib clay

SEGA owns everything introduced post-reboot to prevent another Penders from happening (of course, they didn't count on Archie being goddamn retards). If they want to (or if there's enough outcry from Sonic fans), they'll bring them back.

So~me on~e doesn't realize they just made all reprints of their work off the board forever!

Bunnie & Ant being an awesome and cute battle couple
