Because it was this or Venture Brothers

Because the Main Character was as interesting as a brick and had the personality of one too. The only Characters worth giving a damn about were the Goons who accompanied him, and they were just Jobbers to make him look good.

I honestly would rather have this as much as i love the venture bros.

Why not both?

uncensored, ironic Samurai Jack with barbarians instead of samurai is too good for this world.

I feel like he could have evolved like brock in venture bros.

And specules was pretty funny.

He's supposed to be the strong, stoic type like Samurai Jack.

can't afford it

We can't have nice things.

I bet they can now.

I bet you they can't unless you want mr pickles level of animation and VA's

Did Aaron Springer give Sup Forums the biggest letdown of 2017?

Probably not, since nobody ever knew about Billy Dilley either before it premiered or after

Pre-teens and teens were thinking with their dick when it came to voting.
So the Drinky Crow Show and "Cheyenne Cinnamon and the Fantabulous Unicorn of Sugar Town Candy Fudge" got picked up as a show and won a popularity contest respectively.

too good for this world.

They should have funded like 5 episodes and seen what the response was, I mean surely they had some money there. This could have been massive.

...

balls in your mouth

I honestly would have preferred to see a cartoon about his random assigned companions.

>could have had a Metalocalypse/Korgoth power hour on AS
Would have been ballin'. We could use a good comedic take on the dark fantasy trope like Korgoth was showing.

A perfect storm of fail and AIDS

1. Adult Swim basically over-estimated how much fucking money they had been given by Cartoon Network for new shows. Basically, they could not finance an ongoing series under their original time table. By the time they DID have a budget...

2. They found out the show's creator had become a born again Christian and basically disowned the show/did not want ANYTHING to do with it.

3. The third thing was .

Around the time they got rejected by the creator of the show, the pilot for Venture Brothers made their way to them and they had a choice: they could go ahead without the original creator and do the show, or give the money to Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer, who's Venture Brothers required a higher production budget but got a huge response with the pilot along with Comedy Central sniffing around to steal the series from Adult Swim if they failed to pick it up.

>Fail and AIDS
What, did I go back in time to 2005 Sup Forums?
I'm home boys, I finally found you again

Might as well have some fun while this thread lasts and share the episode with anons.

Billy Dilley just suffered from a really poor sense of direction. A lot of the time, I kept asking myself, "What the fuck were they thinking?"

The show couldn't even have any waifus

It wasn't actually good.

It had like 3 variations on one joke. Which was funny the first 3 times but wore thin by the end of its own pilot.

I did not watch it for the jokes dude.

The animation quality was waaaay to expensive for Adult Shit.

The good old times, when you ca post porn in CO and no ones gives a fck!

>the show's creator had become a born again Christian

Wot? Sauce please.

Way too edgy for its time
