I have a hard time feeling sympathy for a Bern-out.

He can suffer for all I care.

Poor guy

>My retirement plan was to voice a puppet until I died, but the family of the character's creator sold the IP to a corporation, who didn't appreciate me dictating to them.
Oops.

Oh they uploaded part one on youtube as well.

>>He can suffer for all I care.
This attitude is why we need Bernie Sanders and socialism

What's he going to do for work?
>Disney burns bridges with him
>Henson's shit children burns bridges with him
>left Sesame Street

>Because of someone's political opinions I immediately think they deserve to suffer

You're just as bad as the left.

One of these days, Cheryl, I'll come back from the dead, and I will tell the world, what a shit child you were.

reminder he can't even do the kermit voice with friends without getting mouse fucked

Maybe he can go back to Sesame because he left Sesame so he could focus on The Muppets

Lisa sounds like a cunt too

This probably delayed the new Kermit video by another week, good on Steve for actually calling Disney out on their bullshit and not accepting signing a NDA in order to be included in some stupid D23 award ceremony acting like nothing happened.

Like in pic related?

Post rare Kermits!

No, I mean full mouse dick to frog anus rape, full on retardation. Whitmire never sees it coming

...

Why do people still trt to believe he was the victim in this? He has been called out on his shit. No fake crying in the world is going to change the fact he lied about Henson and was a control freak. Why am I not shocked someone like him is deflecting and playing the propaganda game.

Who would you rather believe? Jim Henson's friend who has worked with the Muppets for 38 years and probably understands what works and what doesn't work with them better than anyone else, or the Disney corporation who has owned the Muppets for 13 years and in that time has released content that strays far away from the Muppets' roots and is mediocre at best?

Henson's kids, thats who I believe.

>Believing the side that started shitflinging

Impersonating your dad Joel

You really have not been keeping up with the story. This was posted after heir Steve went on using Henson as a reason as to why he should not have been fired.

There's no way that's legal. That's basically equivalent to saying Disney owns his body.

I've read his first post when he broke the silence and I'm asking you in what way is this shitslinging?

>Dear Friends,

>In 1978 when I was asked to join The Muppet Show, the Muppets were the hottest thing on the planet. I was invited to sit at the feet of the true masters, Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Jerry Nelson, Richard Hunt, and Dave Goelz; working alongside them, absorbing different skills from each, as we, along with many talented others, contributed towards the same shared vision, the vision of one man. The result became a skill-set for myself that was sort of a compilation of the best of them all.

>For me the Muppets are not just a job, or a career, or even a passion. They are a calling, an urgent, undeniable, impossible to resist way of life. This is my life’s work since I was 19 years old. I feel that I am at the top of my game, and I want all of you who love the Muppets to know that I would never consider abandoning Kermit or any of the others because to do so would be to forsake the assignment entrusted to me by Jim Henson, my friend and mentor, but even more, my hero.

>As I am sure you can imagine, I have experienced every possible emotion since October 2016, when I received a phone call from The Muppets Studio’s executives to say they were recasting. Through a new business representative, I have offered multiple remedies to their two stated issues which had never been mentioned to me prior to that phone call. I wish that we could have sat down, looked each other in the eye, and discussed what was on their minds before they took such a drastic action.

>I have remained silent the last nine months in hopes that the Disney company might reverse their course. Doing what is best for the Muppets is the lens through which all my interactions have been filtered. Given the opportunity I remain willing to do whatever is required to remedy their concerns because I feel my continued involvement with the characters is in the best interest of the Muppets.

>For decades, you have been an invaluable partner in co-creating the existence of the Muppets, and I am humbled by your devotion to them. There is so much more for us to talk about so I have created this site as a place to connect and share on all things Muppet, past, present and future.

>Please forgive any faux pas as I have not been active in social media previously and have a serious learning curve. I just want you all to know that I am sorry if I have disappointed any of you at any point throughout our journey, and to let everyone know that I am devastated to have failed in my duty to my hero.

I have no reason to believe why Steve, who alongside worked with Jim for 12 years, wouldn't know what Jim felt his characters would and wouldn't do.

He's even the better man in the way he conducted himself and his response to that facebook post by Cheryl when he responded to that message.

>I love Jim as a friend and mentor, while Cheryl loves him as a father. Don’t judge her emotional posts too harshly. I hope all of you and Cheryl, too, can understand that being outspoken about these very character issues to the top creative executives on the ABC series is at the core of the number one issue stated to me for my termination by The Muppets Studios.

I hope so

I wonder if his political leanings have anything to do with this. Not shit posting, just know he did not bury Trump and was a Sanders guy (which makes sense given the context of the character he voiced).

>There's no way that's legal.

Fox has done the same with Dan Castellaneta. They own the voice.

Nothing to do with politics.

Whitmire, who was asked to take over Kermit by Henson's family after the creator's untimely death in 1990, said that an instance of a note was over a script for the new ABC series, canceled last year, in which Kermit lied to his nephew, Robin, about his breakup with Miss Piggy.

>"I don't think Kermit would lie to him," Whitmire explained. "I think that as Robin came to Kermit, he would say 'things happen, people go their separate ways, but that doesn't mean we don't care about you.' Kermit is too compassionate to lie to him to spare his feelings."

>He continued, "We have been doing these characters for a long, long time and we know them better than anybody. I thought I was aiding to keep it on track, and I think a big reason why the show was canceled (after one season last fall) was because that didn't happen. I am not saying my notes would have saved it, but I think had they listened more to all of the performers, it would have made a really big difference."

The second issue Whitmire says he was given concerning his termination was a union issue.

>"The second issue was framed as 'refusing to work on a particular project’ some 15 months earlier," Whitmire explained. "I happened to get caught in the middle of a dispute on a contract classification between SAG-AFTRA and Disney Labor Relations, which occurred while I was in-flight to work on the project and the associated commercial. I did in fact shoot the commercial, but was unable to shoot the material for the project in order to comply with my obligations to the guild. Ironically, in that situation, my rep had negotiated a special deal with the guild so that we could do the work within the budget parameters for the project."

Nah

It won't happen. Disney has "persuaded" the Hensons the Steve is evil.

The Henson family has nothing to do with Sesame, Jim made sure that Sesame was independent without him before his passing.

why hasn't Frank Oz said anything? He could defend Steve and not get fucked over by Disney or the Hensons, since he's not in a position to be fucked by them

>why hasn't Frank Oz said anything?

Maybe he doesn't know? It's not like he has a social media account to post anything on either.

He knows, he doesn't want to get hit by Disnep
