Captain America doesn't care about mutants

Captain america has inspirational speeches as his superpower.
Superman has trouble coming up with a memorable phrase or two.

He has his moments

Because Superman cannot relate to humans as he is practically a god. So everything he says comes off as fake and bullshit.

...

Drumpf btfo

Spider-Man > both.

Spider-Man gets his advice from Cap

youtu.be/KeLcRwJ2plA

Caps always best. I'm glad ult cap is back.

>racist idiot Cap

Both have the colors of USA.

Not once he ever spouted racist stuff. France isn't race but a nationality.

Read his the page above retard.

Nazis are very good at giving speeches

>"Can I be your sidekick?"
God I love this show

Timely cap

...

I've read this. It's from my favorite What If? comic.

In that issue Cap was never frozen in ice and returned from the war and became President of the US. But he turns America into an aryan Nazi-like society. We then find out that the Cap that returned is actually the Red Skull in disguise. And the the real Cap is found frozen in ice by SHIELD agent Frank Castle who wears the War Machine armor. And Wolverine is the Wendigo but he's called the Hulk. It's great.

It establishes a really great alt universe. I wish we had a line of comics for it.

Crazy how you Sup Forums niggas are posting this stuff
Maybe you're not so bad after all

I read this week.

There's a few more variants just with bad art from later 90s what ifs.

...

...

...

I still love em. And I didn't even know about those. I gotta have em.

This one is alright

hope something like this is in Infinity War

Dammit. We can't have the normies thinking we've gone sentimental. Someone start posting awkard underwear pictures or something.

Another take on the revived thing.

This one was cool.

He isn't?

>Superman has trouble coming up with a memorable phrase or two.

Im sorry, how's that?

...

He's a shit moral authority. Cap took a steroid and fast tracked himself to greatness. He wasn't born great nor did he earn his greatness. It's very easy to take the high road when you have power handed to you and are placed on a pedestal.

All of his speeches come across as phoney and overly rhetorical demagoguery. How is that an nigh omnipotent alien is more human than Cap?

...

As opposed to being born powerful, he took drugs to fight to protect his country and fellow man. What a monster.

Capt doesn't judge people taking steroids so bleh.

One of the biggest problem's with Cap is shit like this. The constant apologetics for what he is. Writers bend backwards trying to mitigate the jingoism at his core by stressing that he's just upholding vague ideals and has no real faith in American government or flag. However, he still calls himself CAPTAIN AMERICA and wears a fucking flag on his chest. He's a soldier. He's defined by his loyalty to the government, but writers constantly try to work against that and it just shows the lack of faith in the core concept.

...

And is therefore, less impressive than the men who did the same with no such crutch. He's not as brave or inspiring as the actual soldiers who sacrificed themselves in unknown battlefields and died mundane, miserable deaths. He's this gaudy, inhuman idealisation of something that was actually messy and tragic.

Ennis was write. Shoe horning cartoon characters into history's most harrowing chapters is tasteless as fuck.

>write

*right*

>He's defined by his loyalty to the government

because hail hydra

>magnus does not forget these words
>the world will be spared the evil of the supervillain MAGNETO

So clearly Captain America never did this in 616. 616 Cap probably strolled right in there and started yelling at the survivors to walk to him and feel his benevolent chocolate gifts

>defined by his loyalty to the government
America is not the government, it's the people. The people choose what the government is, not the other way around.

America is more than it's govt son. It's liberty and the people. Gov't just works for us, we owe the gov't nothing if they seek to curtail our rights.

Cap was never defined strictly for the gov't but fighting for people at home. When the gov't is corrupt, it's time to reflect.

He actually did but Mag refused. Magento is just another Hitler my son.

...

Or he was just frozen somewhere in the North Atlantic by the time the allies got to whatever camp they were keeping Lil Magnus in.

>Captain "I took a child to the battlefield so he could kill my enemies while I look good" America
>Captain "I don't believe in torture but my friend here believe so he will torture you for me" America
>Captain "I would rather fight a retarded battle against Tony Stark than save lives in Civil War" America
>Captain "I would rather fight a retarded battle against Tony Stark than save lives in Time Runs Out" America
>moral authority
LOL

>America is nothing without his values.
>So let's flood the country with people who don't share those values.

Agree let's not flood USA with Nazi scum.

Are you really giving a character shit for being put into a situation relating to politics of the time?
Especially when the creators themselves have first-hand experience of being a soldier in that war?

Ennis wouldn't know tasteful. That man is a trash mercent.

I think you just don't understand the character, user.

>Superman has trouble coming up with a memorable phrase or two.
You don't read comics

Why not? United States was built around the virtues of racism&warmongering and it has been a fascist state ever since 1930s so iadding little of Neo-Hitlerism into the mix will change nothing.

Comics version? Not lately.

Stick to MCU Cap. At least he's not Hydra.

>why is this propaganda character with ZERO iconic stories to his name both in comics or movies better at anything than the character who had he been called bendisman supeheroes would be called bendisheroes becaude how culturally relevant he is?
Because Sup Forums is packed with delusional marvelfags who don't want to admit they are blindly loyal to a sinking ship of a company and will take any kind of bait if it helps them in that pathetic life purpose

>Broke Avengers in half because muh bucky

He was just trying to help by secretly manipulating one of the smartest moderately unstable super geniuses on the planet. How was he to know said super genius would figure out the answer to one of their most important life long questions?

>Supes holding little Asian kid
>in......THAT way

God damn it this site has ruined me

Not really. Don't be a negative Nancy.

The modern Marvel writers just don't have the same love for American and it's people as Steve. They're literally coastal liberals who unironically think that America is some fascist state.

>Puts love of government ahead of love of country
>thinks he understands the essence of Captain America

fuck off fascist

Yeah I'm not feelin it

Of Steve Rogers from that swimsuit issue?

Captain America just doesn't fit in modern times. He would straight out demolish the Washington Establishment just by loving his country.

This was before anyone knew about Islam.

That's pretty clear. He'd probably have gone Nomad again during the last election out of sheer disgust.

Something something Drumpf something something something fascism something something socialism has never been tried something something racist, ect.

didn't you do this thread a few weeks ago and get absolutely wrecked

SUPER'D

>This was before anyone knew about Islam

You do know islam has existed for centuries right?

Because over the character's lifetime society and his writer has kept changing and as such he's now held enough different, contradictory moral positions that any reader will be able to find one to agree with.

Cap's a pretty good representation of the US government in that way really.

Why is Cap being wasted as a nazi when this is the perfect socio-cultural environment for him to be at his best?

If Marvel was talented and not full of pandering hacks they could use Cap effectively by having him promote traditional American values

Or do they simply hate traditional American values too, just for different reasons?

They probably don't even know that George Washington actually liked Muslims and one of the first US treaties was with a Muslim country.

>he thinks any version of Cap would be down with what Trump has been saying
>he thinks Cap has ever been down with "traditional" values
lol

This is a man that defended gay rights in the 80s.

That statement applies to Trump and Cap. Think for yourself. Trump has to play pretend Republican now.

I figured that user was saying that he'd be defending the actual traditional american values like in the OP of religious freedoms, freedom of speech, standing against oppression and so forth.
I suppose this weirdly highlights the no side thinks they're in the wrong/evil theory.

Ennis is an idiot. These are fictional characters inhabiting a fictionalized universe that just happens to resemble our world but those fantastical characters, elements, and concepts instilled within the context of the setting. It's alternate history, a different genre, that's intended to have real or inspired events depicted differently from reality.

It would actually be more baffling and nonsensical if these comic book characters existed in our world, yet for some reason didn't influenced human history at all. Does he complain about Watchmen, too? Because one of the major themes and interpretations of the comic was how Alan Moore's characters drastically changed their world and how truly advanced the 1980s was even in comparison to our time, all because of the actions of those comic book characters that do not exist in real life.

Yeah

I was implying Cap would be against Trump and the radical left

That's literally been all of Sam Wilson's book. Well, that and werewolves.

some are born great
some achieve greatness
and some have greatness thrust upon them

Because he is a true American and not some filthy illegal alien

>Cap took a steroid and fast tracked himself to greatness.
Please see Cap had greatness thrust into him. inb4 "hey that's a good name for a cap porn comic" suggestion

Marvel sees Captain America as the establishment because he's white, straight, and loves American Traditions. Alternately, they're more afraid that Steve will give the Left an epic tongue lashing for ruining the country because lecturing the Right at this point is like flogging a dead horse. Steve is the only one who has the balls to chew out John Stewart, Jon Oliver, Samantha Bee, and others for their rhetoric.

Sadly it will never happen

I wish instead of becoming a Nazi there was a run where he was simply accused of being one by the masses for unpopularly protecting someone's rights

None of those people are as influential as Sup Forums would have you believe

Captain America is way too complex for Modern Marvel to handle.

Who the fuck is Samantha Bee? Stewart is overrated and anyone that was truly left would take a moment to hear the garbage he speaks to realize he's a shithead by the standards of both the right and left.
I have no problem with John Oliver. He's entertaining.

Still relevant

That's not all he gets from Cap.

LOL

>Ennis was write. Shoe horning cartoon characters into history's most harrowing chapters is tasteless as fuck.

unless it's Nick Fury or the Punisher?

Who does? Dirty Muties...

Steve would be a Berniebro tho

That's because Bernie is the only one who believes in what he says despite being misguided.

and because Cap is a bleeding heart liberal

Cap is a 20th Century Liberal, not 21st Century.
