When did Porky Pig get so porky?

Foghorn and Taz look the worst to me but there's something about Porky and Elmer's designs that bugs me even more.

When did Pepe turn into Spy Fox

>cecil taking 3 hours to walk off screen during the chaos

I admit I laughed

There's nothing wrong with Porky, that's how he looked in the original cartoon before undergoing redesign.

>When did Porky Pig get so porky?
they based his Wabbit design on how he looked in his earliest cartoons, same with Daffy's design there

Yeah, I know it's "Haven't got a hat" Porky but there's just something I can't put my finger that just doesn't work for me there.

he just looks like a generic pig character, everyone else whose from the original shorts stands out, but he's just a typical pig business man, i wouldn't have even thought it was porky until daffy did something

It's not "I haven't got a hat" Porky, that's supposed to be the design back when he was the start of his own shorts in the 30s.

Yeah, that's probably it. Probably the same for Elmer too now that I look at it; they both look too generic looking.

also the fact that he doesn't have a red bow tie kind of throws me off

Is Bugs still a cynical snore

nice

>season three
>new art direction
>bring on some new writers
>it literally becomes The Looney Tunes Show S3

we can only hope.

>Cecil Turtle don't being able to walk away from the intro fast enough

Fuck, they have their moments

No one cares about Looney Tunes these days outside of Space Jam memes. The franchise is dead. Bury it.

This is the most disappointing post I've ever read in my whole life

People do care about Looney Tunes, it's just that WB is afraid to air the original shorts on television because of how offensive they are by modern standards.

>People do care about Looney Tunes, it's just that WB is afraid to air the original shorts on television because of how offensive they are by modern standards.

No. That's not the reason at all. CN doesn't run Looney Tunes because it's old and executives don't want to air old shit and potentially lose kids' interest. That's why LT is on Bommerang: the old network for cartoons.

>>they all look horrible

I'd have to disagree

Foghorn Leghorn was the only one I really disliked.

>Make a Looney Tunes show that's basically Seinfeld recast with LT characters
>fans hate it; want the classic format back
>WB does just that
>somehow its even worse

Well.... it's not Loonatics, I'll give it that much.

>fans hate it;
i fucking loved it shut up

C'mon, the Chuck Jones era is Vanilla as Disney

>make cartoon based off 2-decade-old adult comedy
>kids hate it, adults don't watch cartoons
>make cartoon based off 70 year-old theatrical shorts
>kids hate it, adults don't watch cartoons

What do you think the common thread here is?

You mean the same network that airs TTG and PPG (2016)?

Looney Tunes serves well enough for television commercials and movies but is not decent for actual television cartoons?

Wabbit was decent so this might be good. Too bad it'll eventually be nudged out of its time slot in favor of more TTG.

No, genius, it's not the characters which are the relevant common thread. It's the outdated humor and format, which would appeal only to people who are never going to watch.

Executives resisting the idea of just showing the old, proven cartoons instead of reinventing them because said executives wouldn't get the credit for their success?

>Meanwhile Disney is doing the same thing but better with their Ducktales reboot and Mickey shorts
How the fuck did Disney get the upper hand in television animation over WB? This is ass backwards compared to how it was in the 90s.

i want more The Looney Tunes Show dangit

And Friday the 13th is tame by today's standards, what's your point?

Has this even premiered yet? On a channel anyone actually has?

Looney Tunes, I mean. Not Wabbit.

Yes. Let's base Boomerang off of about the very selective 3 hours of modern cartoons they air, instead of the other 21 hours.

Genius.

If nothing else I follow wherever my dick tells me

Here's their schedule for those who were wondering
tvlistings.zap2it.com/tvlistings/ZCSGrid.do?stnNum=21883

At least they still air Mystery Incorporated

>all that tom and jerry tales
jesus christ why

>No Penelope
>No Barnyard Dawg
>No Speedy Gonzalez

But
>Cecil Turtle
>"Daffy" Daffy Duck

For now I won't expect anything.

All this show would need to get people back on board is to bring back the "normal" character designs. I don't get why this is so difficult for them.

>expecting a literal mexican stereotype character to appear in a modern cartoon

delusional much?

Who are the fox and the knight with the griffon?

Did TLS not happen in your world?

He was a secondary character in TLTS

Up until now Wabbit had been trying to be a whole new thing by using mostly original characters.
Those are some of them.

LTS Speedy was barely speedy

bring back lts

They made Porky and Pepe cuter, so it isn't completely pointless

God damn, Bugs' voice is garbage in this.

And LTS Bugs was only barely Bugs

I'm just happy he's still being shown

>they all look horrible
I like how Daffy looks more like his classic screwball version.

how many episodes have Marvin been in so far?
I only care for him

I'll be honest, I like porky's and elmer's design.

The worst part about this was making Yosemite Sam look like an Adventure Time character and taking away his guns, but some of the other designs honestly aren't so bad.
