We've gone... back in time.

no

nu-uh

>Hasn't history proved that capitalism only survived because it took social measures to prevent the miserable living conditions that gave rise to Marxism anyway?
Isn't it happening again because the USSR fwll?

This is what the anarchists were saying from the beginning. The people who run the 'socialist' state become the new ruling class. This is why the overthrow of capitalism must also come with the overthrow of the state.

Was Quinn in the wrong here?

YOU shut up. I hereby declare Martian Law.

Can you marry people?

>can't even start a sealab thread anymore without it turning into political shitposting

what the fuck happened to this place

>what the fuck happened to this place
Pod 6

save it for queen dopplepopolis

Pure anarchy just leads to the survival of the strongest/meanest, which leads to another shit society where nothing ever gets done.

Would you guys put your brain in a robot body?

Sauce on that?

Hey, where'd you get those kickass pipes???

So some sort of wilderness guideline. A natural order, if you will.

He's right. They will screw us.

well sealab 2021 was over a decade ago so most people here think OP is actually talking about communism and not referencing some shitty obscure show no one's ever seen

thanks for that, user

I used that line on facebook, with a pic of quinn and everything, and it was a shit show.

Yep, this board crossed the event horizon.

I'm regular Stormy

nice

Pod 6 is jerks!

Oddly enough, marxism isn't nearly as destructive to nations as international free markets. It's an absolute trash system to be sure, but possibly the ONLY silver lining is that it makes countries so terrible that nobody wants to go there. As a result when communist governments collapse, as they always do, the nation survives because it's people haven't been drowned in a sea of foreigners.

Eh, this show hasn't aired in 12 years. Most of the posters here were probably in preschool around then.

Somehow, whenever someone wants to start a Sealab thread, they do so with this quote, as if they want to invite Sup Forums over to fight with that one communist user.

There will be no real discussion of Sealab here.

What about it?
Sorry, I dont want to make you angry, but a quick read about it didnt give me any real insight.

Way to go user, you broke the monitor and you're dead. Happy?

Sealab was a good show and I miss it, while I am happy that it ended and it wont be ruined.
One of the best shows of adult swim ever.
I loved Storm... did we ever get to see Black Storm?

People literally make these threads just to post this, don't they?
You have no interest in talking about Sealab, you just want to pretend you were surprised that people were more interested in shitposting about politics.

HESH WANTS SEX

That's all terrible.

What part didn't you get?
From what I understand those are marx's critiques of german idealism and utopian socialism

Just read Engels if you want a quick explanation.
marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1880/soc-utop/
Basically, utopians think you can get communism by convincing people rationally, and we will all just achieve communism by practicing it on our own (such as starting our own commune and just turning it into a movement of leaving capitalism). "Scientific" socialists think that the transition to communism will happen much like the transition to capitalism away from feudalism, which is to say that it will happen as a result of a combination of material factors (technology, class antagonism, etc) and will require a violent revolution and mass societal change. It's also based on the idea of a "dialectical process" wherein socialists chart the evolution of society in history much the way that scientists can chart the evolution of animals.

Thanks user, that helped a lot!
Marx was the scientific, right?

>Marx was the scientific, right?
?

Marx's idea of a classless society still sounds like a utopian ideal regardless If there's a strain of socialist thought called "utopian" which Marx did not represent.

Indeed, utopians sound like harmless quixotics who won't cause tyranny whereas "scientifics" are always "one corpse away from utopia" and inflict horrible suffering on their countries.

THAT SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING HOTSUIN WOULD SAY!

How about a libertarian utopia?
>It wasn't impossible to build Sealab at the bottom of the sea. It was impossible not to.

Damn now I want a Bioshock themed Sealab episode.

>implyiing real comunism was ever implemented

No, it hasnt.

Just leave it dead, user

>implyiing real comunism was ever implemented
There you go again

>RRRRRRRIBS!

So you agree it was never done as it should have.

>Keep trying the same thing and expecting different results.

How many deaths is too many, user?

It won't ever work because people aren't ants.

No, it was tradition for fucking years to start off Sealab threads this way. Fucking every time it get political now.

...

>normiebook
You get what you buy.
At least try signaling some virtue there, buddy.
All the cool kids are doing it, so should you if you are gonna stay on that shit hole.

So people ought to know by now it will get political, yet someone always pretends to be surprised when yet again it turns political.

If that's what you want to glean from that I won't stop you.

>Communism can't fail, but people can fail Communism.

But if the 2008 crisis was caused by government distortion of the market than that IS THE POINT; that the government meddling was harmful and that it wouldn't have happened with a truly free market.

Marx was the "idea guy" while Engels, the guy he wrote Communist Manifesto with, was the actual scholar who did the heavy lifting intellectually speaking.

The irony is most everyone associates Marx with the communist ideals, when really Engels is the one who thought up the core concepts. Marx just helped him make it more palatable for the masses

Hesh wants sex

But if the collapse of the Soviet Union was caused by state capitalist policies then that IS THE POINT; that the non-socialist elements were harmful and that it wouldn't have happened with true socialism

That's true though, communism as a concept is solid but it's not practical because people can't be expected to put forth an effort under a communist system where they see return on their expended effort.

Go post political bait somewhere else OP.

youtube.com/watch?v=hJlidLVfwWc

Did Engels write Das Kapital? No. No he didn't.

nice try, but your logic iis fglawed... so flwed that I wont even bother pointing it out... nothing personnel kid.

The Soviet Union collapsed because an illiberal system tried to liberalize a little bit and it bust apart like a spring.

If it cannot be practically implemented in reality, then it is a flawed concept in need of revision.

*rests shoulder on ur head*

I dont get it

That's the point, it's a flawed ideology in the sense it's unobtainable. But under ideal conditions it makes total sense.

Shut up you mailbox heads and post some Captain Murphy.

congratulations you can join

...

...

And there go my nipples again.

What's your favorite episode Sup Forums?

I have no idea why but I can't get over how fucking funny the first one was. Something about how dry the dialogue was in the face of their base blowing up and nobody giving a shit.

>But if the 2008 crisis was caused by government distortion of the market
Okay, but why are we talking about hypothetical imaginary worlds? The actual 2008 crisis was created by individual actors in the market trying to screw each other for profit, and making a crash much worse than it had to be in a scheme to make a ton of money. How do you look at that and say "Oh, if only they were more economically free, they wouldn't have done all the shady things they did."

Tinfins, the one where the show is actually a movie being filmed, Murphy trapped under the soda machine...a bunch, really.

Ronaldo is a cunt. Fuck you, I'm never going to 100% that game, because I simply refuse to do his shitty brainwashing everybody is friends path.

>Interviewer: Right... the Hollywood cults.
>Sparks: ITS NOT A CULT!.....It's a religion.
>Interviewer: Not according to the IRS...
>Sparks: Ho, there will a day of reckoning for you, non-believer! A totalling of sums! And a snapping of necks! And you will count yourself among the damned!

Happy cake.

Lahk a theeck croisaaaaaaaa...

All that accomplishes in the long term is restarting the cycle of the consolidation of societies and power. I've talked with anarchists before and neither the left or right wing types can convincingly answer what will change that won't make people band together in ever larger governments to better control the natural resources around them.

>For the last time cretins, where is the destructo beam?!

I thought it was diamonds?

I'll only put my brain in a robot body if I can put it in a robot cat!

Animal farm was a commentary on marxism from a trotsky-ist.

Hence:
"All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others."

Marxism while trying to overthrow classes instead creates new classes.

look at napolean being "more equal"

Can I be an Adrienne Barbeau-bot?

D-Cups! Of justice!

I'll say this:
An anarchy is better than a straight, pure democracy. But not by much. A monoarchy would be an improvement on both.
