Is Gaturro known outside from Argentina?

What the fuck is Gaturro?

I think that answers your question OP.

no

Argentina is a pretty irrelevant country as far as popular culture goes. The most people usually know about it is that it has tango and nazis.

A show (or movie, I don't remember) aired in CN latinamerica.

And football players that uses their hands, and big noses.

There were strips of Gaturro in the spanish books in my school
Greetings from Brazil

You don't want to know.

Nik hijo de puta.

What about El Eternauta?

chabon que haces posteando esta mierda aca?

Nice bootleg Garfield.

and a lust for Falklands

Nobody in the world cares about black-majority countries.

The Argentinian version of Garfield and Heathcliff, basically,

is that garfield as a boobie mousepad?

No. And Quino is an overrated hack.

that's just garfield with the top half of his head erased

The best Argentinian comic ever made was Cybersix and most people in Argentina never heard of it.

It's a strip in a newspaper in Peru but it's super shit, bottom of the barrel humor

yeah i love gaturo

The CGI movie was released in Italy. No one cared about it.

Me too, but I think this thread is not for speak about this talented artist.

El bananero and Alejo y Valentina were fairly relevant back then

Argentine comics thread?

Gaturro at this point is just a merchandise mascot and I can't see it succeeding outside Argentina because it doesn't really have much going for it besides being from Argentina.

Argentina has a lot of great comics but they tend to get little atention even from argentinians. I especially like this one called "Brunella" about a poor homeless girl that came out some years ago. It would be easy to publish anywhere else since it's dialogueless and easy to understand.

it has cultural relevancy in south america.
it is trssh
