You a Venom guy, or a Carnage guy?

You a Venom guy, or a Carnage guy?

...

I haven't read much Carnage since Maximum Carnage when I was a kid, so correct me if I'm wrong.

Isn't Carnage just a violent psycho killer in a symbiote with very little substance?

I'm more of a Venom guy, but I loved Maximum Carnage when I was a kid. Re-reading it as an adult, it doesn't really hold up, but it's still pretty entertaining in a "mindless superhero junk food" sort of way.

Also, it gave us this great bit where this dude was gonna smash a window, but stopped because Captain America stood behind him and looked stern.

>"mindless superhero junk food"
Isn't that kind of what all of it is?

ANAD Carnage started out as suspense horror with very little of the usual capseshit trappings.

Black Lives Matter

Venom's early stint as a villain was fantastic, and quickly solidified him as one of Peter's greatest challenges. The only time Carnage was ever interesting in his existence was Axis, and that brief stint after where he wasn't sure if he was good or bad anymore.

I love Cap so much.

Cap should have this power

Why not both? Two great tastes that go great together!

I'm a neither guy. They are both sad relics of the Xtreme 90s and are best forgotten. But if I had to have one around, I'd go with Venom.

Geez. Okay. Chill out. Gawd.

>tfw Marvel writers would never write a moment like this now.

Venom is an 80's character you dolt

His initial appearances were basically a bunch of 80s things crammed into one

>and that brief stint after where he wasn't sure if he was good or bad anymore.
Where was that? I literally just finished reading the first trade of his solo from after AXIS, and he's very much bad. I haven't read his appearance in Nova, but I heard he was back to being a villain with no explanation in that.

I'm more of a Carnom guy

It was in Nova. Carnage goes back to being Carnage, but he wasn't sure how he felt.

that is so cool and im sad it will never be real

>carnage will never try to be a good guy again

It wasn't with "No explanation". He reverted when everyone else did at the end of AXIS.
He didn't want people to remember the good things he had done.

For me, it's Venom.

Venom.

Agent Venom > Anti-Venom > Toxin > Venom > Carnage

And this isn't even me saying I dislike Carnage. He's a fun villain, just a little one note.

Carnage, becuase for some reason, he's awlways good. I think it's because retards who don't get his character stay away, and only decent writers pick him up, while the dumb ones that pick him up write ridiculous bullshit like the symbiote download arc.

Venom would be tied, but retards keep raping his character. Eddie keeps reverting to his "KILL PARKER" phase because these jackasses don't want to write for an Eddie who is growing. They want a big monserous jobber to write their epic spiderman fights, which suck dick. He was even great as Anti-Venom, but that got canned because Slott hates other people writing what he made better than him i guess.

Agent Venom was great for this reason, until benis ruined it and shot him into space because he just has to ruin all he touches.

I like this interaction, but I don't think Sam could take Carnage. I'd love to do something interesting with this.

>He's always good
>Implying Maximum Carnage was good
>Implying Minimum Carnage was good

>Carnom
>not Varnage

Carnage wasn't there when the second inversion wave made everyone (except Stark, Havok, and Sabretooth) back to normal. Although I guess it isn't very egregious to just say it managed to hit him somehow.

his remains were right in the same place as where all the x-men where after he contained the bomb, weren't they? He was definitely in the same city as everyone.

Sam tossed some alien into the sun. He could probably pull a Sentry on Carnage

Maximum carnage was great until the half assed ending where they pussied out on the message. Didn't read Minimum carnage, Carnage usa, Carnage mini, all his Mini apperances in venom or spiderman since then, that cartnage arc where Agent vneom shows up with Doppleganger.

He's not got a spotless track record, but it's been good enough compared to my old favorites like Spidey, Nova, GOTg etc, where writers rape them every other run. He's got like a positive average of like 85%+ compared to 50%- of most. And even when it's bad it's normally good bad 90s cheese stuff.

Fuck, I mean I didn't read Minimum Carnage, but I read the rest of those I listed.

Well Venom is a big guy.

DIE DIE DIE

best carnage

Yeah, for being a character everyone makes fun of for being so edgy, it's surprising how many good stories Carnage has or is involved in.

Carnage USA is still one of my favorite comics of all time.

I'm a "get spitroasted by Cletus and Eddie" guy

I figured this might be the best place to ask.
What was the Spiderman Videogame where you fought venom and carnage as bosses and the final boss was monster ock?

Spider-Man for the PS1

FOR YOU

People think he's edgy because they don't fucking get him. He's terrifying yeah, just like Venom, but it's all cheesy fun with him. Aside with that, his character is that of a broken pathetic man, life broke him, and he wants others to see the way he does, spreading his ideology. That things happen for no reason so he kills for no reason.

It's why things he does are more tragic, but still deplorable. To that end, his character remains consistent to that in most of his arcs, even his appearance in Nova.

The what if carnage comic is brillo though.

This is the correct answer.

Anti-Venom is just Venom though, only white and with a goatee and an extra power in place of the unique relationship Eddie had with the symbiote

Exactly. Better.

What's this from?

Lego Marvel, I think.

No you fools.
It's not just mashing their names together, but their concepts.
Something that emphatizes both the venom and the carnage aspects but sounds similar.
CARCINOM.

Anti-venom is a continuation of the relationship Eddie shared with the symbiote. It was a natural progresion that got reverted when we got Toxin back, then it was atempted to be expounded upon in the Carnage series.

Eddie Brock is always moving backwards as a character because of "fanboys" who have no idea what Venom is or was, they jsut know him from the cartoons or games for a sliver of time.

Black Carnage.
Red Venom can suck donkey dick.

Ultimate Carnage

Venom all the way, especially Eddie Brock Venom.

Carnage is just boring, kills people, bleh beleghlweä because edginess..

At least Carnage is not a wannabe hero and have more personality than Eddie or Flash.

...

Is there any porn of Carnage fucking Venom?

Who would actually top?

...

both

It would be impossible to tell, as they'd basically be one big amorphous blob of fucking.

Varnage

>Carnom

Does he nom nom on cars?

Carnage.
Because the symbiote itself is female and it would be a top tier waifu.

...

Now I know why I've always found Venom so cute, it's because he resembles an orca whale.

Aren't symbiotes genderless and Cletus just refers to Carnage as being female?

Why is Venom so bara while Carnage is a twink?

The symbiotes are technically asexual, yes, but they've both been called girls a number of times.

I think it works as a 'fuck you' to all the stupid shit that was going on in comics at the time. I think that bit with the 'extreme response team' really shows how much they hated those trends.

Wud u?

[/I'd be first in line.spoiler]

To make them visually distinct.

Nah man.

I'd befriend my partner

But I would try to do it too! If you gave control at the start you can try to befriend it.

>not wanting a perfect symbiosis between to best friends

Laugh if you want, I'm a shameless contrarian Toxin guy.

Which part says that you can't be its friend?

Why did you post the inferior Toxin then?

Because the Eddie version is objectively better looking. It's a tragedy that we didn't get Pat looking like that.

Why would the Carnage symbiote need the Venom one? It's already stronger than it in nearly every aspect (it doesn't do webbing and I think Spider-man can still use his Spider-sense on it, but I'm really iffy on that last one)

I always like to think that, since Spidey was already super-strong, the symbiote didn't need to bulk out with him. Taking Eddie past Spider-man's level requires bulk though.

Carnage is just a mystery. Maybe it's the 110% compatibility rating that means he doesn't need bulk

Eddie wanted to be stronger than spidey, so the symbiote probably slowly worked to push him there, helped along by him becoming a body builder himself. The result is Venom looking like a buffer spider-man.

Kletus's mind is a scrambled egg, so its form is like a scrawled crayon sketch of a person. I always kind of liked the way their appearances visually conveyed their personalities and goals.

So why is the Symbiote all crazy again with Eddie?

Did the last ten years never happen or what?

If you asked me pre-Minimum Carnage/Carnage USA I would have said Venom in a heartbeat. But I don't think Eddie Brock Venom's resume has as much going for it compared to all the awesome development Carnage has gotten post 2010.

It's kind of funny actually, I think Carnage started off as kind of one-note but turned into a more interesting and character than Eddie Brock ever was as Venom. Eddie really only has his origin and a few brawls with Spidey going for him. All his solo series were okay to bad and then he lost the symbiote and became Anti-Venom. Honestly, Flash became a better character as Venom than Eddie ever was; though his aesthetic was much better.

Bad plot contrivances to force a return to status quo.

Last I read apparently getting pumped with shitloads of symbiote-tranquilizer by the government left a lasting effect on Eddie's body, making it toxic to Venom. One of the symptoms of this reaction is that Venom's mind degrades over time back to a very basic level.

It's not really a bad explanation per se, but it feels pretty weak considering Flash was constantly getting that shit pumped on him and Venom peaked in intelligence with him. It would have made more sense if Eddie had started regrowing Anti-Venom inside of him which fucked Venom.

Carnage all the way. Cletus Kasady's story is truly a tragic one. In terms of which design I like better it's harder to choose because they're both extremely interesting to look at.

>Exactly. Better.
People who think the symbiote is nothing but a super suit disgust me. Never talk to me again.

>Eddie Brock is always moving backwards as a character because of "fanboys" who have no idea what Venom is or was, they jsut know him from the cartoons or games for a sliver of time.

I mean...as an Eddie Brock fanboy, I want him to keep existing. I don't care which characters are at the expense of that happening. I know very well who Venom was, and people who hate Eddie do not

Venom was Eddie, period. Eddie + Symbiote = Venom , nothing else is

I can't think about Symbiotes in a non-sexual/fetish way.

Perv sicko

>I don't care which characters are at the expense of that happening
Apparently not even Eddies or the symbiote.

Venom is always the union between the suit and another host, never on it's own, I think Flash did a better job with it, since he's Agent Venom with it, instead of plain Venom. I want Eddie to stick around, but this was a terrible idea start to finish, he was progressing well as Anti-Venom, and his cahracter was working better even when he got the Toxin symbiote (in the Carnage series) which no one wanted. Hell, the symbiote had more characterization on it's own in the entirety of Flash's run and was expounding on concepts introduced in the lethal protector run.

>Venom is always the union between the suit and another host
Spoken like a true little kid.

Venom didn't exist before Eddie, and it was contrived to make "Venom" a thing post Eddie

Venom was just a way of re-hashing a plotline they got rid of since no one liked the black suit. Eddie Brock's motivation was retarded and they spammed him until people liked him.

Can't help but think of how much this would be an issue an issue in real life.

"Oh that super powered serial killer? Yeah, nah there's no manhunt for him it's totally fine."

People go APE SHIT all over the news if there's so much as one car chase. A helicopter chase in a major city after some guy who's probably eaten dozens of people or something?

People don't just ignore that.

Venom. Hero Venom makes my day

Well they did just missile him in the back with the army
What more do you want?

In real life, super-powers aren't a dime a dozen

Some marshmallows and sticks apparently.

I'm more thinking in general really.
Like the whole Joker problem:
"Just KILL HIM ALREADY."

I mean look at Mexico-
They have armed vigilantes hunting out drug cartels now. Shit's crazy.

Oh fuck off you pretentious faggot. I just went over the fucking lethal protector plotlines.
Venom wasn't even supposed to be Eddie Brock initially. But what the fuck was I expecting, you're a retard who thinks the Costa writing is A-okay as long as it brings your waifu back. Douse yourself in gasoline and jump in a furnace.

I like both for different reasons. Venom is more fleshed out and there's a lot of directions you can take him in.
Carnage on the other hand is just fun. People say he's 1 dimentional, but when you think about it, not every character needs some sort of grant motivation for being how they are. Carnage is simply psychotic, and traumatized.
I love these two, specially when they duke it out.

They man hunt for him whenever he shows up though. The recent Carnage series, AXIS Carnage, and I believe Carnage USA? They also did this for Maximum Carnage but other shit was going on at the time like a skrull invasion? Hell, even in his first appearance, they get a whole bunch of units out there to bring him in once they figure out what a threat he is. He's always under maximum secrutiy, and when he broke out during the whole internet thing they again called on the nypd and more to go get him.

Symbiot goes back to Spider-man. Do we call him Spider-man or Venom?
