Danger & Eggs

Is this show worth watching?

No.

Looks terrible. What's with that neon green grass?

>people wearing shirts that are just queer flags so you can identify them
im a faggot and im cringing jesus

lmao this was the first thing I thought as well

its kind of hideous and barely even looks like grass at all

But muslims are bigoted transphobic zealotic pieces of god loving shit. I say this as a queer person

Why is everyone gay?

Because trap boipussi feels good brah

I'm amazed at how someone can write so much about a show while saying absolutely nothing about it
Here is how you summarize all that shit
This Amazon prime show uses gender neutral pronouns please support it
That's all I learned about the show after reading two paragraphs, someone could have written the plot, characters and conflict in the same space
Also it looks like shit so yeah don't watch it

>Literally zero mention of any of the show's qualities, just it's willingness to represent a specific audience
>Clearly an ages 3-10 target demographic

Are people really THIS vulnerable to pandering?

those colors hurt my eyes
also, they/them can't be used to refer to a single person in proper english
also also, show's probably mediocre if it has anything to do with anyone from snl

People, no.
Tumblr, yes.

I know, thats what really triggers me about these new pronouns. I dont mind you making up new words, but dont refer to yourself in third persons if you were two people in one body

Singular they is actually grammatically correct when used to refer to a person whose gender is unknown to you. Just not in the way it's being used here.

>rainbow everything everywhere

>people purposefully wearing shirts with the flag colours of the various LGBT groups

>this isn't a pride event

Who the fuck just goes around wearing this all the time? This isn't nonchalant looking at all. This is blatant as fuck. I know plenty of people who are LGBT and none of them dress like this. Ever.

The nighmarerish colours remind me of-AAAARGH!

>What's with that neon green grass
If you blow all of your budget on creating tons of unique background characters, you will not have the resources to focus on the actual background.

Meanwhile, let's take a look at adventure time. Sure, all of the characters have noodle arms, but the rest of the world can be pretty well detailed. Instead of a solid lime color that does not look like grass and which is terrible on the eyes, consider what some texturing and shading can do.

>Rattles on about the show being inclusive
>"THIS SHOW IS AMAZING"
>Doesn't mention what the show is about, if it;s funny, interesting, entertaining, well animated or written, or any of the stuff that actually hinges on something being worth watching

I mean, being inclusive is good, but fuck, that doesn't make for an 'amazing' show, that whole mentality is baffling.

Watched one episode
It had allot of energy and was generally fun

ah my mistake then

first thing I thought of too

>this isn't even at a pride parade
I find this extremely hard to believe. I mean, holy shit. If anything, it's insulting that they feel such a strong urge to just put gay/queer/etc. clothing on nearly every single character for no reason. Stuff like that one kid in Clarence who has two moms, or just random characters wearing a hijab, that's one thing, but gay people don't just restrict their clothing to rainbow colors. Given that this isn't some sort of gay pride event and that all the gay people just happen to all be wearing rainbow shit pretty much just says, "gay people are literally just props who have no meaning outside of being gay".
I mean, I already expect the "oh my god this show is so amazing because it's got gays" attitude from tumblr, but this is just over the top. Not to mention that, at least judging from these two pictures, this show is agonizing to look at.
>90% of the screen is ultra-neon colors with rainbows fucking everywhere
>Literally zero background elements have outlines, making the background little more than a bunch of random neon shapes melting together
>Another hideously basic artstyle with zero effort put into any of the designs beyond "appeal to tumblr"
It's like Problem Solverz, but gay.

Alright Sup Forums, i understand why gays and queer people should be in cartoons, but convince me how kinfe stabbing truck ramming terrorist rapist peices of shit like muslim rapefugees should get anything but bitter hatred in the media.

Disgusting.

They're at Pride, the one place you can kinda do that sorta thing.

If she shaved shed be fuckable

I would've thought this was satire if it wasn't from a verified news source.

>implying any of us want lesbian pandering in our comics and cartoons other than porn

Fuck's sake, Sup Forums. Learn your Sup Forums culture before you shitpost.

I dont mind lesbians or gays. As ive sayed, im queer. But i dont understand how a religion that stones gays to this day are being glorified by the liberal media. I just feel so betrayed....

>this isn't a pride event
Except it literally is
It isn't danced around, it's called a pride festival by name in the episode

Is this another kind of thing where nobody actually watched the show and just goes off what an user says?

lol

...

It's because of the whole democratic viewpoint that you should be nice to everyone you meet no matter what (unless they're a cop, right-wing, etc) and not actually doing research.
On one hand, not all muslims are like that, so I don't think muslims should outright be hated.
On the other hand, MOST muslims are like that, and their religion is based around violence and hatred; even if some muslims have stemmed away from that, it should be understood why they're feared.

The world's messed up, there's nothing you can really do but deal with it and spread truth where you can.

idk man you guys allied with them to join the fuck white people brigade.

ask your own dudes.

...

>Watching this recently
>Liked it so far
>I found it really funny a lot of times
>I like the characters
>Everything was fine until the last episode when this happens

I tried to ignore it as much as i could, but i just can't. Pandering aside this shit is pretty good, but since i watched that episode i knew that everybody in Sup Forums would shit on in and some raging Sup Forumsacks would come just for shitting on it as well.

The show is fucking great i swear, but they just needed to kill it with their fucking agenda like every other cartoon does these days.

Whatever happened to the gender-neutral it?

I can see that it could be considered dehumanizing, what with it typically being associated with inanimate objects and shit.

As a gay man, I'm more concerned with how the show sacrifices decent design and writing for the sake of applying diversity. There needs to be a balance of the both, but fucking PC culture wants representation without story, which will end up fucking them up in the long run.

FPBP

Then maybe it's time to view the word in a better light. Spanish & other languages give genders to inanimate objects, so what's the issue with referring to people with a gender-neutral pronoun?

From what I've seen, though I've only seen the first episode, the show is just one of those high energy "goofy characters doing improbable stuff" cartoons.

Doesn't seem like anything to get in a huff over. Not everything needs to be a super serialized deal with hidden clues in the background.

Because suddenly changing a language is hard as fuck?

For all their talk of inclucivity, they never mentioned the fact that neither of the main characters are lgbt or anything. Wouldn't that be a bigger deal than just having LGBT in the background?

Maybe? Though it may be more relateable to not explicitly make them LGBT since statistically most people aren't. Showing that people can get along well and stuff though not being the same is probably a better general lesson.

With Orange is the New Black, the "main character" was a white woman (albeit bisexual), in which the director or whatever said that she was a "Trojan horse", so they could get the show running and focus of the other lgbtpoc cast members.

Maybe that's the case, except amplified to far worse levels due to it being animation, as there's more direct control over character and setting design.

>I mean, being inclusive is good, but fuck, that doesn't make for an 'amazing' show, that whole mentality is baffling.
These people don't even want actual representation, they want pandering. The second a show portrays women/gays/coloreds as 3-dimensional characters with flaws it's decried as "problematic". See: tumblr turning on Steven Universe after a "black coded" (a bullshit term) character was portrayed as an antagonist.

And yet shallow pandering bullshit like Korrasami is praised despite being a last minute asspull.

>everything being a different shade of neon
Which of these things are the foreground characters?
I should be able to tell from a screencap- that's rudimentary design.

Yo you right user. That doode has very specific ideas of what inclusiveness means and can tell what everyone is just from looking. What upsets that person about his/her labels he's doing with gender and sexuality.

>t.tranny

fuck no

We are going to need some sort of non-insulting genderless pronoun, not for these waves of complainers but for the reality that in a few years we're gonna have artificial intelligences that really don't fit into any category

...

>it's free if you pay money to watch it!!
What a world.

More blacks, gays and trannies is a sign of quality to liberals. They'll shit on something, regardless of quality, just because there's too many men, too many whites or anything else that isn't """""diverse""""".

There's nothing wrong with diversity, but the notion of inclusiveness just for the sake of it baffles me. If it doesn't add anything to the story, there's no need for it. We don't need more white guys in the Africa portions of Roots, just like Dunkirk didn't need any black guys. It's all about making sure it actually fits.

>Creating Sapient Abominable Intelligences with free will and treating them like people.
Get out!

>Spanish & other languages give genders to inanimate objects, so what's the issue with referring to people with a gender-neutral pronoun?
This is the dumbest thing I've read on this site all week.

Language is fluid, it evolves, I'm sure you don't speak the same english that people used 100 years ago

Do straight people even go to pride events; the closest I've been is going grocery shopping during pride parade and the entire time I'm thinking "I don't think I'm supposed to be here."

Present as a male, be treated like one.
If you want female privilege, you have to put in some effort.

>"It's time that the community knows that, starting with this awfully run establishment, that we're not going to be told which bathroom to use based on whether they think we should be allowed to or not."

It's official. Grown men are going to use the bathroom with your daughters whether you like it or not.

Watch Niko instead.

>it is a pride event

I was going off of the what the image which said it wasn't related to the pride event.

They do and its now an issue within the LGBT community cause they feel it's being overrun with straight people using it a means for them to celebrate rather than understand what it's about. They're also not too keen on big businesses getting involved as it's a blatant PR move for them and a way to make money. For the Toronto pride this year, Trojan was able to be the only condom company allowed to give out condoms which only proves that the event is becoming just another commercial event to make money off of rather than something for the LGBT community.

Maybe don't go by what an image says then? Think for yourself and look into things

As if I care enough to wanna watch it

Ah, capitalism, the great equalizer

...

>and its now an issue

*and it's now an issue

Queer Duck is the only good LGBT cartoon ever made. Sorry, Steven Universe. Sorry, Korra. Sorry, this show. You can all pack your bags and go home.

Not even fucking close.

I speak full World War I English, mate.

Try arguing this with /lgbt/ for maximum laughs.

Bullshit

Don't disrespect Problem Solverz with this tripe

How can you tell if a character is trans with out pointing them out?

Great image for your point actually. I'd say that Hey Arnold was an "inclusive" show, but if you asked anyone to explain it, I doubt they'd mention the types of characters first.

But that's just a giant dude!
