Not my favorite, but Al Ewing writes a tolerable America Chavez.

Bendis would write a great Batman.

America Chavez by Mike Mignola.

>favorite writer

>hating Batman
I could understand not liking him ir hid stories but outright hating him?

>add a batman OC in pile
>Then write about his family.

...Will Magnus is your least favorite character?

Agreed. Punch Dimension made me like her, when he writes her, a bit more as well.

I feel like Morrison could definitely salvage her, even make the whole Lesbian Utopia thing seem less fucking stupid.

Even just the part where she's reflecting about dancing and happy thoughts was surprisingly relatable for a character who seems designed to be as much a contrarian as possible.

It's funny, nobody actually hated characters like America and Carol except, ironically, feminists, until these recent comics.

I'd find it odd that people want them to go away altogether instead of returning to their fetishy, waifubait roots, but I know no one on Sup Forums has ever read a comic book written before 2012 anyway.

They would probably fix them

I hate America since Gillen's Young Avengers and Carol since the first Civil War. I have never seen any feminist hating them, mainly because they didn't even know about these two F-listers.

Fair enough. And by "feminists" in this case I mean the women who actually read comics before the movies, who would usually tell me both characters were wish-fulfillment fap fodder, along with Spider-Woman.

I never liked Carol as a person but I liked her as a supporting character because she was such a wonderful trainwreck of a human being to watch.

Would you consider Young Avengers recent?

While we're at it, how many comics have you read before 2012? Geoff Johns' Green Lanterns go back far enough but I feel like I'm one of the only people who got any enjoyment out of Mosaic.

I hate any military based hero to be perfectly honest, Cable and Punisher included. What bothers me is when I state I do not like them people instantly assume it is because it is due the character relating to feminism. They do not pay attention to my Wonder Woman logo tattoo, just go straight to me being sexist and against feminism due to the echo chamber created around the subject matter when it comes to feminism.

I have never liked the character, I do not enjoy the actress either, so I do not think there is a writer who could make me enjoy her.

I think you got the premise wrong.

Bendis? Writing Batman?

>Charles Bukowski writing Moon Girl
I dunno, man.

The last issue of her was great.

>hating Batman
Okay, that's somewhat understandable even if you're just being contrarian.
>favourite writer is Bendis
I don't think you got the OP backwards, user.

I'd still hate X-23 no matter who wrote her. I hate her on concept, the fact that she kept getting pushed into places she didn't belong and that can't be undone no matter how good the story was.

God she's ugly

>I hate her on concept
There are several characters I feel this way about. Every time I hear the platitude of "there's no such thing as a bad character, just a badly written one", I think of those characters. If they're shit down to their very basic concept, the only way I'd think they would be written well is if they were completely re-envisioned. At that point, they're a different character entirely so what's the point?

For the record, I don't feel that way about America, even with Gillen's dumb as fuck backstory for her.

>Kafka on Gen X

>America Chavez by Frank Miller

Whoa its just Give Me Liberty!.

>Gene Luen Yang on Superboy (Conner)
PLEASE. All i want is Kennan and Conner broing it up.

>God she's ugly

This is where we disagree.

It'd probably be perfectly fine. Fucking characterfags.

>Deadpool

>Frank Miller

miles written by ditlko

He is probably an Earth-29 crossposter

>Duggan writing Harley

Well i guess instead of being a kinda Deadpool ripoff he becomes a full one.

>Squirrel Girl
>by Grant Morrison
I'm down.

Morrison would weave it into something that already exists as though it HAD to have always been there and is structurally important. That's one of his finest traits as a writer.

> Quentin Quire written by…
His entire raison d'etre is playing identity victim politics. Even when in-universe he's factually correct, he's fucking intolerable with virtually no other interesting characteristics to mitigate that.

Whoever took him on would need to find something other than 'intelligent' as a reason to give a shit about him.

Am I wrong here, Sup Forums?

I feel bad for Ewing because he is a continuity fag and he has to read and integrate everything of the shitty America book.

>Morrison writing Riri Williams
Well you know, morrison would be writing it, so it would be good.

>so it would be good
how's his track record writing little girls

> all black people are ugly because they don't look like me

She has the most average features for an African-American girl imaginable, like you can't even describe her.

> that fucking hairdo though
Can't stand that and never will

I dont care about her but I think she had a fantastic, potentially iconic design, the black one used for Marvel vs Capcom 3, when she was X-23.

Now that she is Wolverine dressed like Wolverine I cant care anymore. I also think she is too mellow in her new book.

>I also think she is too mellow in her new book.
If there had been good enough character development to stretch it out I'd be ok with it. Also, she's playing big sister/mom to a much more charismatic fucking insane murdergirl which doesn't help her in comparison.

It's ok to hate Gabby but she's the only part I care about in the book.

Isn't riri like 19 now?

>Liz Sherman written by Warren Ellis
Still shit.

fuck me dead I thought this was about moon girl

Yeah, he'd do well with her as long as he didn't try to embellish her importance weirdly.

Bomb Queen by Grant Morrison.

You're supposed to hate Quentin though

>Marquis of Death
>Garth Ennis
I don't know. My hate fo MoD is far stronger than my love for Ennis.
It'd be like non-Slott's Silk which is a better character but still has that disgusting skeleton that makes you not want to read her stories.

I would read the shit out of that.

I know, but the OP didn't say those didn't count.

>love for garth ennis
Those words.... is it possible to use them together in a sentence like that?

So another writer writing him will just be more of the same

Oh fuck off Ennis is easily a top 5 modern big 2 writer

top 10

>Marquis of Death

I didn't think my disgust with Mark Millar could go any further. I was wrong.

Splitting hairs but okay

Does Morrison still works at marvel?

Nah MoD is a character Ennis could do a good pisstake on

Ironically that is a great run that laid the groundwork for everything Hickman did, despite that story being so shit

>hawkgirl
>frank miller

I just want to see how he can make her gritty

riri Williams written by Adam warren would be awesome!
just have him do most pf the stuff he did in that hypervelocity miniseries, maybe have riri fight the Mecha underground (the fact that they're not used more is outright criminal to me) and you could have a damn good comic on our hands

Grant Morrison's Joker's Daughter.

He'd probably try to reconcile the two versions as one character splintered across the multiverse, so that might be interesting.

Sexy bitchy latina turns me on but her character is god awful.

>From the unfathomable blueness of the sky, as a plane hosting such horrors as the one i peered hastily descending upon us was as far from heaven as Beelzebub's frozen prison itself, a ominous lighting i couldnt make any shape out of it other than a bright figure out of outer space.

>I felt my will faltering as i recognized a shape out of that descending abomination, a humanly shape, a metallic armored shell hosting a mock, a shameless imitation of a human whose existance defied my wildest expectations of eldritch monstrosities from the darkest corners of the vast space , propulsing itself through the sky in a contorted shape that matched the most bizarre tortures i had seen from my ample sadistic studies about this twisted practice.

>My vision blurred as i could feel my eyeballs sinking deep into my skull as to seek solace and shelter from the impact this thing had traced, my limbs went limp as if any force within them had fled to safety leaving us gasping and reeling into the ground.

>My consciousness faded when i saw this anthropomorphic meteorite come to a halt barely a few feet from the ground, from what i wouldnt dare to call "feet" emerged a stream of flame that ended its burning projection into the ground it so heavily pounded just as it finally chose to defile our ground with its otherworldly corruption.

>A dizzying blow to flesh and soul hit my very being with every step this creature took towards me, its visage a flaming stare into my soul, where its heart would be if this mock had been a being from this earth lied a solarian apparatus of a glowing complexion that i could assume fed this thing with vigorous movement.

>A voice, A sound that reverberated from deep within the extraterrestrial armor called upon me, the surprise of hearing something as shockingly familiar as language from that asseverated my deepest fear that indiscrimated oblivion was a too merciful fate upon this planet from the stars.

The fuck?

Bendis the writer?

>An episode of the horse cartoon staring Poochie written by Harlan Ellison

>the fucking evil Devil Dinosaur has feathers

Perfect

>Carnage by Ed Burbaker and Sean Phillips
It might be good but I doubt it.

That would be awesome. Phillips never gets to do horror stuff, and Brubaker is great at minis focused on an edgier character

I would use Doop but since he in-comic said "Gene Simmons is a fag" I can't hate him any more

>Hating Doop
Never read Milligan/Allred's X Force/Statix eh?

Hating Moon Girl is like hating Dora the Explorer or Arthur. It's a character literally made for kindergartners, of course she's fucking simplistic and cutesy and overly clever.

>Elmo is such a fucking Mary Sue holy shit he's got like magic crayons that can do anything, he's so overpowered!

>It's a character literally made for kindergartners
Not at that reading level it isn't. It's for elementary schoolers nearing junior high. So, actually higher than most light novels.

Steven Jewniverse by Grant Morrison.
It might actually work. I'm already seeing all the Morrison astral babble and weird constipated Jem faces drawn by Frank Quietly.

Uh, no. It's:
1. Morrison
2. Moore
3. Brubaker
4. Priest
5. Johns (tied with Snyder)

If you want to go top 10, Fraction, Jason Aaron, Soule, and Warren Ellis take up the next 5, but i'm too lazy to put them in order. And then there are a fuckton of writers more talented than Garth Ennis, the guy who's known for fucking CROSSED.

I don't know, People just hate her.

Oh, and Rick Remender should be on there somewhere too.

? Ennius is known for punisher and the boys

>NuCarol
>Millar
Finally an excuse for a womb bomb that no will argue with.

Maybe pre-crossed. His name is now synonymous with the phrase "pages upon pages of gratuitous torture porn". Thanks to that comic, people look at you weird when you even bring him up.

If it makes you feel just even slightly better there is another universe opposite of Utopia called Dystopia filled with men who are likely gay.

>She has the most average features for an African-American girl imaginable, like you can't even describe her
Like every black character in Marvel amiright?

You can describe Misty Knight.

>Chris Claremont writing Riri Williams

...So at one point does she become Wolverine's kid sidekick?
Or does he just age her up a few years so Logan can fill her up with a maple syrup injection?

> or
