Kinda sucked. 5/10 maybe 6 due to Summer's thong.

I thought it was great. The muscle memory thing, the robots talking like rick.

Meh. When you have an infinite multiverse to play with, doing a Mad Maxx parody is kind of boring

I liked it. The previous episode was better, but this one was still entertaining.

One thing that perplexes me about this show is how the characters are supposed to be deeply affected by some of the shit that happens to them (like morty killing the fart) but some stuff is just casually blown off for a quick in episode lesson (summer marrying someone).

7/10 I liked it

It kind of took a long time to get going.
But I think it's because it's setting up stuff that happens later.
It might work better as a whole than stand alone.
We'll see.

Holy shit its see through, I didnt notice.

Morty was really good, even the robot version of him. I guess I get why people wer bitchy about Summer but to me it felt pretty obvious she was going through shit and was acting out and how bad a influence Rick could be. I won't consider it a big problem unless she acts like that every episode which doesn't seem to be the case.

I hate that the thong doesn't line up right with anything, there should be a visible strap

5/10

Definitely one of the weakest episodes, the muscle memory arm was the best part.

nice edit faggot

We all watched it on the my big telly together!

I'm more interested in what's up with Beth. She's gotten so clingy this season, makes me wonder what her Rick did that made her so obsessed with being with someone.

terrible

That's not an edit m8.

I loved her giant shoulder pads. Why does Summer have such an affinity for post apocalyptic settings? First original Summer and now this.

Where do the straps go? Under the garment its there and when shown going not under the garment stops.

...

It definitely shows.

Congrats on posting something that's been posted on here for two years, hundreds of times especially without comment, really bringing a lot of meaningful discussion to the board.

Shame about your thread friend, but I will say the same thing. Dont jump the gun quite yet, the season isnt over.

That's them or she's wearing a gym top.

Okay episode. Muscle memory was good. Ending was surprisingly good. I was expecting Summer to be a lot more annoying, but if this is any indication her role will be tolerable. Feelsfags will hate it because Jerry exists to be shit on, not realizing that he's being set up for a triumphant return of some sort near season's end.

Looks like this season will be shit.

probably the most boring episode
the ideas used are entertaining, but in execution, they made it awkward
I suppose that's the point, it's an episode about them dealing with the divorce and all, but they're really on the nose about it too.
Worst episode, but doesn't make it terrible

That's rather old...

>Looks like an edit mistake on the shows part.

Not great, but not bad. Couple of really funny moments and the after-credits scene was hysterical.

I feel like they focused too heavily on the divorce stuff. I understand that it would be worse to just do it without really addressing it afterward, but I just don't care about the characters enough to give a damn about a plot like this.

Some of the jokes were funny, though.

There any preview of episode 3?

Rick gets Summer pregnant.

This Summer is QUITE different...

>4 minutes in and they've said gods not real 3 times
>Summer is somehow more of a mary sue than rick now
>Jerry and morty are the only two characters that act like normal humans but get shit on by reddit caricature F/M edition

Did I get jaded to this show or is this really that shit?

Pretty underwhelming.

Is it official? Have SJWs ruined R&M?

now he's killing without mercy

The show would have been fine if it ended after Season one. The humor is /way/ too fucking repetitive.

It wasn't bad,

BUT....
Morty was transitioning from feeling bad killing people to feeling good about it way too fast.

Yeah, it's almost like he developed and changed from that episode and that change was addressed in a later episode, possibly one involving a violent Purge.

>Rick didn't give a shit about leaving summer behind
>Only stayed because of the crystal and because Morty cared about her

I thought it was weird how many times they said "nothing matters, everything is meaningless." They said some variation of it like 7 or 8 times. It just felt kinda forced.

And no one's nude out Big Summer yet?

This episode was not bad, it was just below average. and no, SJWs have nothing to do with it.

>Hurr durr they decided to hire women writers XD such social justice warriors XD

Why does it looks like she shitted herself?

i think i saw summer lose her virginity.

Latest episode was written by a woman.

Why does the writer sound disappointed that they hired female writers because they liked their work and not just because they're female
Literally the best ending, hiring women just because they're women is really stupid and it sounds like that's exactly what they wanted

Stuff like this helps me get why people on Sup Forums hate liberals and SJWs

I'm 2 minutes in, and I already feel like Jerry is the most interesting part of the show now.

On the Adult Swim stream, a black lesbian interviewed Harmon and one of the female writers.

Harmon's biggest point about having female writers was that it let every writer be more free with pitching ideas, because they could get a hot take from someone in the room who knew about that stuff. If you had only one woman, guys are afraid to pitch because it could offend, and the one woman is afraid to object because she's outnumbered. Even ratio means everyone can relax and just try and make things funny.

But then he also shitted on the female writer by saying that even though her name was credited with writing the episode, all the writers write all the episodes, and it sounds like what stalled production so long was that you had harmon, roiland, and 4 male writers who had to do more work while accommodating the women who weren't funny and couldn't write, and that if there's a season 4, it's not going to do the even ratios thing again.

I liked it better when original Summer didn't LIKE any of Rick's antics and was more supportive of her pops and mum.
Guess we have to deal with this new Summer.

is there a recording of this

It was kinda funny but noticeably worse than usual. Looks like it's falling into the "making a boring plot the main focus of a comedy show" meme

Shut the fuck up Edge, of course a fucking teenage girl is going to lash out against her parents and identify with a sociopath who does whatever the fuck he wants.

But original didn't.

>This Summer's a prick, but I still pound it.

what are you talking about? she was pretty much a non-character before they jumped universes

Plus they didn't waste no time with Jerry.

>Can't wait for Jerry and Derpy Rick to have adventures together.

might as well call it rick & morty & summer

When are they going to get to the fireworks factory?!

>Congrats on posting something that's been posted on here for two years, hundreds of times especially without comment, really bringing a lot of meaningful discussion to the board.

Really? I've on this board a lot. But this is the first I've heard about any female controversy.

Anyone have a 1080 mega for the rickshank redemption?

Honestly I wouldn't mind some episodes that focus on shit eating Rck and Jerry. They go off and do some mundane bullshit adventure that ends in a horrific accident that makes shit Rick a paraplegic or something.

>didn't LIKE any of Rick's antics
>more supportive of her pops
you might want to re-watch all the seasons dumb namefag

Sadly...yes.

>I guess we can just look forward to Rick wreaking Tammy's arse.

Shouldn't you still be in Summer class?

>Giant summer
God I hope that lasts for more than a few seconds.

It's gonna be pickle Rick episode.
He just says why he turned himself into a pickle.

>making a boring plot the main focus of a comedy show" meme
I mean they hired wimmin this season it was to be expected

Anyone have a Mega to the first ep? I wanna watch it again.

Both E01 and E02 are half good and half bad right now. On one hand, they both have that kind of circle jerk where they call the characters badasses for being uncaring nihilists which made Season 2 kinda shit. They also lacked what made Season 1 great, which was just being adventures about drunk grandpa Rick and his grandson Morty. They've changed the character dynamics to be more snarky or quippy or whatever for the most part. The references are also as tired as they were since Season 2.

Still, there's enough there when the writers stop sucking themselves off to say that it's watchable. Summer talking to Jerry at the end was a better approach to covering the episode's moral instead of Morty suddenly shoving in his connection to the episode's overarching plot while smashing bandits. Morty's dialogue and interaction with Armthony outside of that scene and Rick's interaction with the rock and bandits as a whole was more fun than Summer just suggesting they piss on the "billy board." With better execution, both of those scenes could've been good as well, so maybe they can turn it around. It's not exactly bad, but it's a far cry from the genuine fun they made with Season 1.

...

Instead of blaming females maybe consider the show was always dumb? like this was better than stuff like the parasite ep

I'm gonna miss Hemorrhage.

>What did you guys think of tonight's new Rick & Morty?
Pretty good
People who like Jerry should like that he's being encouraged to move on from what was honestly a really bad relationship and set up.
More Summer's been pretty fun, Rick and Mort's relationship's still good to, and the jokes were on popint.

Summer being cold-hearted felt really forced.

They need to cool it down with constantly repeating "I don't care, no God, nothing matters"

Everything honestly just seemed all over the place in the episode.

I think it's my imagination, but the show has gotten worse. Audiences loved Rick, so they made Rick act more Rick. Since that wasn't enough, they decided to turn Summer into Rick.

And I really hope they're going somewhere with this Jerry arc because it just seems like the writers are all trying to top each other with who can make him the most miserable

Rick has been spiritually dead from day one, Morty has seen a ton of shit, and both kids are going through their parent's divorce. Harmon said in the interview that a lot of what informed the episode was his own experience as a kid with his parents getting divorced.

>no bra and panties visible through the dress

They are dealing with a divorce. I mean I think they're owed an episode or two of acting all fucked up.

It's a bit funny that after all the fucked up things they've gone through, it's their parents separating that's the one that actually impacts them

I mean, that's the joke, I know, divorce is truly the scariest alien of all

I still think there is going to be some weird fucking metaplot for the world shitting on Jerry that's going to happen this season.

Everything to do with the divorce is boring and a waste of time. I'd rather it go back to being a straight comedy like season 1 if they cant get this dramedy shit right. Funny comedy situations have arisen from the divorce (morty's arm, the robot family) but any of the scenes where the characters are emotionally dealing with it are fucking yawners.

As someone whose parents divorced at a young age, yes it fucks you up.

I think a part of it is that like all the other stuff is less dangerous because Rick can protect them completely from the weird but more physically dangerous stuff, but he has no idea how to deal with their emotional turmoil

that's sorta how I felt about the purge, not because it was a purge world but because of how earthling the aliens were

anthropomorphic cats in 19th century clothing and homes

why is post-apocalyptic summer so good?

Despite the art style i want to have snu snu

WHERE IS THE SUMER MAD MAX PORN?

I love how they had to widen Jerry's head when he was talking to Summer so people wouldn't realise they look alike.

God forbid a father and daughter look alike

Was great. I liked the moral. Going through some personal stuff rn. Not as serious as a divorce but it hit hard.

It was also pretty funny. I liked the muscle memory joke and the joke about how technology affects society.

It was all over all the season 2 threads.

If this season doesn't end with Jerry beating the shit out of Rick I'm going to be severely disappointed.

barfeet summer was cute near the end.

I wonder what the plan with Jerry is anyway. Are they gonna Meg him, or what?

I meant similar. Literally the only difference is that Summer has orange hair and a ponytail on the side. And jerry has frown lines. You know darn well there's no difference otherwise in their faces.

>too fucking wordy and lacked prose
>none of the nuance from previous seasons, especially the first season
>Apparently this episode was written by one of the new female writers

really makes me think.

the fuck is this

really disappointed they didnt try to up the animation quality

In Eridu

Rick left when she was what, 13? Then she had to fake being a pillar of support for her spineless husband, and now that Rick has decided to "re enter her life" he dodges her at every turn despite her multiple attempts to reconnect a father/daughter relationship. So now that she no longer has to be a pillar of support she displays more of her personal baggage.

It's pretty cut and dry.

Juding by Morty going on with that monologue about how Jerry should move on with his life, Summer giving him that mutant skull with the message "never look back" and how successful alternate universe Jerrys are when there's no Beth, I think they might be putting Jerry on a successful path.

eh it wasn't as bad as i tought it would be, at least it was better than the garbage that was season 2
