Ant-Man and the Wasp + Captain Marvel are also in the making and coming out after Infinity War

Then there's rumors of a possible Buckycap-centric movie with Falcon

Thunderbolts would be perfect for a post-IW slot, but it required developed villains.

Bucky Cap
Carol

They'll probably do a rocket focused story where he realizes the guardians are his real family and not the scientists who created him

Well half of the original avenger will be phased out after Avengers 3 and 4. Weirdly enough Ant-Man and the Wasp takes place in the present but between these movies. I don't know how that makes sense.

The only rumor we have about vol. 3 seems to suggest that we're gonna learn more about Rocket's backstory. Unless it was read incorrectly.

We got Zemo lined up, they obviously let him live so that they can use him again.

From 2020 to 2028 it's gonna be 8 years times three because now Marvel releases three movies a year.
24 movies in total. They need to slow down. Let's say 18 movies. Should be enough for a couple Spider-Man movies, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Ant-Man, Black Panther the Guardians one or two Avenger movies and maybe something new (Beta Ray Bill?)

But you still have replacements taking over. Chris Evans is done after IW, but there might be another RDJ as Tony Stark movie coming out

I imagine he's gonna survive but retire now that he became Spider-Man's mentor.
I wouldn't mind if some of the original Avengers still had movies planned but I think Infinity War is supposed to be like stock-taking because it's getting a little bit crowded.

Promote Daredevil to movies and give him his own feature.

Did they even have enough of a story to tell in 2? I can barely remember that movie but I can remember 1 clear as day.

There's a lot to tell regarding Marvel Cosmic.

If they'll do it or if they'll butcher it while doing it, that's a different story.

Gunn is one of their more reliable directors.

Why do people keep saying this when Suicide Squad happened last year?

We also know Gamora will have a central role, Adam Warlock will eappear, the Ravagers are going to be there, James Gunn teased something about Quasar, and that it's the last time the current iteration of the GotG is going to be together.

My guess is that Infinity Watch will kick off at some point with Gamora, Drax, and Adam. Rocket and Groot will have their own movie together and it will deal with more Half-World stuff or Planet X.

That just leaves Star-Lord, Pratt said he was in for the long haul even if his current contract only says 5 movies, so he'll probably do more and end up being Cosmic Marvel's Tony Stark.

GotG 3 will feature Starhawk and his old school Ravagers in some capacity, and James Gunn teased that the 5 Guardians from the first 2 films perhaps might not all be a part of GotG 3.

Seems like they want to set up a new phase of cosmic movies

I hope Bucky stays as Winter Soldier and Sam stays as Falcon, Captain America should go when Steve Rogers does.

>teased that the 5 Guardians from the first 2 films perhaps might not all be a part of GotG 3

That's new to me. I wonder if it somehow fits into the news about the retcon.

Fuck, I want a Ravagers/Original Guardians movie with MCU Vance Astro coming along as the token human.

Cause they probably want to make a movie that isn't a massive piece of shit and don't have the benefit of shoving Joker and Batman into all the trailers for easy money.

>Seems like they want to set up a new phase of cosmic movies

What would you guys want for Cosmic movies?

Besides Nova, Quasar, Darkhawk (hopefully the Shi'ar stuff didn't affect his rights) Starbrand, Eternals, what else can they do?

Also maybe by then they are able to give some shitty characters to Fox in exchange for Annihilus.

>Black Panther sequel
>Dr. Strange sequel
>BuckyCap
>Captain Marvel sequel
I think they already planted seeds for a Thunderbolts movie, though I'm not entirely sure which others IPs will they adapt since everything else is on TV.

>Baron Zemo
>Abomination
>Vulture
>Ghost (Ant-Man and the Wasp)
Throw Songbird, Fixer and Moonstone as newcomers and there you have your Thunderbolts.

There are tons more stories you can tell with Doctor Strange and Black Panther alone. I think they're all set.

Fun fact: Charlie Cox has movie appearances on his contract.

And maybe Leader or even the real Mandarin? I'd like them to finally tie those loose ends.

>even the real Mandarin
But the real Mandarin is a legit bad guy. I don't see how he'd fit there.

I think after Infinity War, they'll keep it light for a phase or two
>Homecoming 2
>Guardians 3
>Dr Strange 2
>Black Panther 2 or BuckyCap
>Avengers

I read somewhere that Strange and Spidey would be getting a lot of screentime together in the future, so they might have Strange show up in Homecoming 2 and set up his own

As a villain. Well they could always use him for one of the other shows. And the Leader because now Marvel is not treating The Incredible Hulk like a disowned child.

How about a Nova movie? Not sure if they should go with Richard Rider or Sam though.

But then again from what I understood the retcon is supposed to be a minor one and most people won't even realize it.
But they won't divide the team into several spin offs. They're not that marketable.

>As a villain
Oh, that'd be pretty cool. Maybe they could also use AIM and MODOK, but I guess that'd be too goofy.

what retcon?

They have Ghost Rider and Blade back, so how about a Midnight Sons/Spirits of Vengeance movie?

Richard 100%.

Feige really dislikes the committee and everyone related to it. That includes Jeph Loeb, though I can see them racechanging Rich like they did with Ganke (Ned).

>but I guess that'd be too goofy.
If Marvel can make a talking raccoon with guns, a tree that only says 3 words and a planet with a face work, they can do MODOK.

Just to shit on all those idiots who after the twist were like "oh but it's all good because it's not like we wanted a racist Fu Manchu character"

Nothing about how Kingsley's Mandarin could've been one of the best most quotable villains that the series need.

Secret Invasion

Yeah, but Guardians was more of a comedy than other marvel movies, it had a lot of goofy moments.

I just don't see the Thunderbolts working under that tone.

Apparently something that he thought could've been changed for the third movie. There are three good theories but the most probable is that it involves Rocket's past.

Kingsley himself being part of the Thunderbolts would even tie to it.

Annihilation?

>Lots of sequels
>Spider-Man spin-offs
>The fabled Black Widow movie
>Thunderbolts
>Ghost Rider
>Blade
>Ms. Marvel
>Nova
>Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur
Anyone got any other ideas?

>Annihilation
I can see it working as Phase 4/5 end-game for the cosmic side.

>The fabled Black Widow movie
>set in the past
>recast ScarJo with a younger, hotter actress
>keep renner just apply cgi
You're welcome Marvel.

They just need to slow down and I think Feige hinted that at some point. It will pick up later with Galactus.

>Is there anything left to tell?

Yes, of course, why wouldnt their be? What kind of question is that? Comics run for decades with thousands of stories, that was it for the Guardians in your mind?

Sup Forums has been infected w/ Sup Forums cynicism and it's just a bore.

It can be a monster of the week story. It's not a problem to make a new movie but to develop the characters.

>Galactus
Yeah... no. Fox is definitely not letting off the rights.

When I said Annihilation I meant more it like a mix of Annihilation and Conquest, with Ultron surviving in space and becoming the big bad.

They can't, Fox has the rights to Annihilus even though they'll probably never use him. Same with Kang the Conqueror.
Weird that Marvel somehow has Ronan the Accuser of all people but not Kang.

>>Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur
I don't know about that, but they really should do a story set in the Savage Land. Dinosaurs sell.

>Kree
I'm still not sure how the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver have a rights duality but Kang doesn't.

Dream scenario is Earth is now on the galactic map and it inspires humans to join the Nova Corps and perfect segue for Richard Rider.

Because you don't know the difference between Suicide Squad and Thunderbolts

Rumour is he's getting introduced in the Captain Marvel movie, but considering it's set in the 90s I'm not entirely sure if I want that.

Considering how the last incarnations of the Thunderbolts were pretty much Suicide Squad I wouldn't be surprised if people think that, of course that user is a casual.

I just want the FF. Ben is the GOAT marvel character

Yeah, Captain Marvel taking place in the 90's makes me think the rumor will end up being false.
I really do hope to see him in the MCU, but I don't think he'll be there any time soon.

the only thing that'll make me go see vol.3 is if chris pratt literally shows his whole ass on the screen for a solid 5 minutes

if not i'm out fuck it, stop teasing us with him if you aren't even going to show him off enough

i think they all do, just in case/contractual negotiation reasons

but it'll never happen until ike dies

Well it may happen.
Honestly I'd be happy with just a mention in one of the movies. Now all the references are in the shows. It feels so one-sided.

Because it is.

Spider-Man is the closest the movies have to the street level hero from the shows. He may namedrop Punisher in one of his movies. This would be enough for me. I'm not hoping for a crossover. I don't want to see a watered down Punisher. Besides we've already seen the obligatory "but you kill people you're a vigilante" subplot and I don't want to see it again.

They're not going to touch FF. They have enough characters.
But I can see them making a Namor movie.

As good an excuse as any to show more talking things that should not talk I guess. And Adam Warlock.

They will divide the team, Gunn confirmed that vol 3 is the last time together.

Don't know if they will go on spin offs, they'll probably guest star in some other stuff or serve as supporting characters.

Superhero comics are all about goofy shit being taken seriously.

Or die,

Pretty vague. They're gonna be a different team even if it's just one of them dying in the third one. Like Drax. He's probably my favorite (a more approachable Kratos) but also the most expendable. They wouldn't do anything to Groot the second time. But I heard some rumors about Rocket/Groot spin off I just thought they're still not big enough to have their own movies.

I think that is really just a rumor, Rich most likely was a little kid during the 90's or even a baby.

If they were to do anything they'll do a minor thing like have Carol work with Ralph Rider (Rich's scientist uncle) or have her have a minor brush in with the Nova corps while in space just to get the audience interested on Nova.

Or he'll just be Kamala's classmate in the post credits scene.

>not big enough to have their own movies

More people have heard about Rocket and Groot than than Captain Marvel so I don't see why they couldn't get their own movie.

If they really wanted him to be in highschool, it'd make more sense for him to be on a varsity basketball team.
If they ever did put him in the MCU, I really hope they skip straight to his 20's

He'll be Star-Lord's fuccboi just like Peter is to Iron Man.

I don't think that will happen, Pratt said he could stay for another decade and Marvel Studios would take advantage of that. Not to mention Disney won't just let Gunn kill them all off.

Rocket and Groot are the most popular characters and they aren't dependent on their respective voice actors so I can see Disney doing a Rocket/Groot movie, besides Marvel Studios can make any unknown character sell so them being not big enough doesn't matter.

We'll get Skrulls for Avengers 5 most likely.

Well, I didn't say they all would die, but they certainly could kill one off in Guardians 3.

Gunn said that Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 will be the last movie with THIS ITERATION of the Guardians line up and that he is pitching to Feige movies "with this character and this character and maybe this character teaming up with this character and meanwhile we can introduce this character".

Most likely we will have something like this:

-Ravagers (one movie or a trilogy) featuring the classic Guardians team.

-Rocket and Groot (one movie or more) with Cosmo the Space Dog, Lylla, Wal Rus and Howard the Duck.

-Infinity Watch (one movie or more) with Adam Warlock, Quasar, Starlord, Gamora, Drax and Mantis.

That's as many as nine movies after the Guardians trilogy. One thing we probably won't see soon is Nova Corps (one movie or more) set on Xandar except as a prequel at some point.

>Secret Invasion
>Zemo kills the queen
>Dark Reign for phase 6

>>Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur
Which would be the shakiest bet ever, cause that girl is going to grow up fast with a film every other year.

You mean Phase 5. Phase 3 has Avengers 3 and 4, and every Phase after that will be an Avengers Phase number + 1

To make room for new ones. It can only be either Drax or Mantis.

You're right.

It would be Phase 5 and then an Cosmic/Earth ensemble movie for phase 6.

Didn't Gunn tease Quasar? Like he posted a picture of the Quasar music player?

Secret Wars will be Phase 6's big blowout film.

They can just shove them into other teams, that also would expand the cosmic side roster.

Well Warlock will be in the third I'm positive. And that gold chick again.
Also Lylla will be in based on Gunn's clues And since they re-made Yandu I expect more older Guardians as well.

Incursions or Beyonder?

I'd be ok with it.

Both. Have the first film be the incursion and the second film (third????) be Beyonder running Battleworld.

You could even do an A-Force film on Arcadia for shits and giggles.

18 to 23 (which was his age in Annihilation) Rich is suppose to start as a young guy but him being college age makes him the perfect age to go soaring into space and do whatever he wants without asking his parents for permission or trying to deal with shitty cliche high school crap (we already have Spider-Man for that).

Finally the Fujoshis will have a white guy to pair Peter with that has actual chemistry with him.

But seeing how they're pushing Carol as the new star of the MCU he might become her fuccboi.

A mix of both? The Beyonder fucking up dimensions and taking the place of Doom and Molecule Man as the ruler of Battleworld, yeah I can dig it.

And then the phase 7-9 movies could all be based on the different worlds. That would be interesting actually.

Black Panther 2. You know it's coming. Otherwise, I could see them also trying to work out a deal with Fox to make a Fantastic Four movie as well.

We'll we get Captain Marvel going into space around 1997.

In Captain America: Civil War when Tony is at Peter Parker's apartment, Peter says that a video of Spider-Man is fake. Tony says
"Oh you mean like those UFOs over Phoenix?"

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoenix_Lights

>The Phoenix Lights was a mass UFO sighting which occurred in Phoenix, Arizona, and Sonora, Mexico on Thursday, March 13, 1997.[citation needed]

>Lights of varying descriptions were reported by thousands of people[2] between 19:30 and 22:30 MST, in a space of about 300 miles (480 km), from the Nevada line, through Phoenix, to the edge of Tucson.[citation needed]

>There were allegedly two distinct events involved in the incident: a triangular formation of lights seen to pass over the state, and a series of stationary lights seen in the Phoenix area. The United States Air Force later identified the second group of lights as flares dropped by A-10 Warthog aircraft that were on training exercises at the Barry Goldwater Range in southwest Arizona.

So that's might be 1997 to 201_ for when Captain Marvel might have come back to Earth. That's a decent amount of time for when things might happen. You might have Captain Marvel, Ravagers, Asgardians, and others interacting with each other in space.

>Finally the Fujoshis will have a white guy to pair Peter with that has actual chemistry with him.
>who is Rocket
No, seriously, there's a shitton of RocketxPeter porn.

Yes he did

It's most likely going to be her instead of Wendell, I don't think Gunn has said anything about Wendell but he read DnA's run and has mentioned liking Phyla (IIRC he even went and chased down both Phyla and Moondragon cosplayers to take pictures with them, I know the Moondragon cosplayer has a pic with him).

>>Phases 7 - 9
You can't have a gimmick last through phases. Your films have to be standalone to a degree. At most, do two films of Secret Wars with two or three films in between with Battleworld zones.

Entire Phases devoted to one story gets really tedious.

>>Ant-Man and Wasp confirmed to happen after Civil War
>>Captain Marvel in the 90's

I'm calling it, Thanos blows up Earth in Infinity Wars, and Avengers 4 involves them trying to steal the gauntlet to bring it back.

Which is why I said white guy.

Peter/Ronan is there for a reason, not because they had good chemistry or Ronan being the most interesting character, because they find Lee Pace and Chris Pratt hot.

>blows up the earth
Try kills half the universe.
