PUNISHER STORYTIME
All this year I'll be storytiming Punisher comics, with most of the focus being on pre-Ennis era material. There'll be a couple Ennis era stories here or there as well, and there MIGHT be some post-Ennis era stuff at some point. Expect at least 1 storytime per week.
This week I figured I'd try something a little different. Instead of the longer storytimes that I've been mostly focusing on, I'm gonna try to post multiple shorter storytimes. Like single graphic novels, or shorter arcs from the ongoings, or maybe even just random stand-alone issues. It depends on what I end up having time for.
Today we're gonna be reading The Punisher - No Escape, a one-shot graphic novel from 1990. Up to this point in time I've covered nearly every single Punisher comic up through 1991, and this is one of only a small handful that I had skipped over. But no more! Eventually I wanna get around to covering most/all of the loose miscellanea (i.e. one-shots and minis) from that era, because some of that stuff is really overlooked and most of it is actually pretty solid with a few major standouts here or there.
Ever wanted to see The Punisher take on U.S. Agent and Paladin? Of course you haven't. But we're gonna read it anyway! And don't worry, it's really not half bad. Though it doesn't make a heckuva lot of sense either. I seriously am not sure what they were thinking with the plot... but we'll get around to that, and I don't wanna spoiler anything of course.
So let's just get straight into it.
