Disney will celebrate their 100th anniversary in just 6 years, what do you think they should do to celebrate?

Disney will celebrate their 100th anniversary in just 6 years, what do you think they should do to celebrate?

A movie starring Mickey, Donald and Goofy

Undo the copyright fuckery they've instated since the Mouse's inception

ALREADY HAVE THAT!

Make Disneyland free for one whole day

that would be pointless, congestion would be hell

Lolno

Introduce a $$$ Centennial package at Disneyland, start pumping 100th Anniversary merch out the ass and release a shitton of media. Call it the "Year of Disney"

Purchase rights to Harry Potter and release Harry Potter animated adventures and animated film.
... It's cool, I didn't leak anything... Critical.jpg

Please be bait
For goodness sake tell me that's bait!

file for bankruptcy and liquidate their assets and finally die

buy DC

Sell Marvel Comics and license the comic rights to IDW.

for their 100th anniversary they will create a giant walt robot with laser eyes that only kill WB fans.

Make a 2D animated film.

Shut down Marvel Comics.

But not release it.

It really will be a sad day if Disney ever gets both Marvel and DC

>it's gonna be str8 to disney channel
>gonna be toon boom animated with lots of 3dCGI
>probably gonna be the series finale, but give the show one more season if it's successful

Announce that they bought the US government

>Further extend the copyright fuckery they've instated since the Mouse's inception
"Forever plus a day," as the bought and paid for congressmen are so happy to push.

It's just crazy enough to work, although it might enrage the tens, perhaps hundreds of people who still read Marvel comics.

Bought the government, arrested everyone and placed them in walmart detention centers where they are rfid chipped and lord Obama addresses world wide that he has used Disney for cultural conditioning and mass man-baby propaganda to dumb down the population for a new world order takeover.

You people are fucking moronic,
I just want to have a decent conversation about this topic and yet you're pringing Sup Forums into this conversation

Toontown 2 which is an MMO by way of Kingdom Hearts where disney IP are all of the zones and they all have their conventional story + other outside entities trying to ruin the stories.
The player characters are all cartoony human boys and girls helping out wizard Mickey by going into books odinsphere style.

fucking up intellectual property law for everyone

not the people who make their own IPs

Was this supposed to be secretly a KH thread?
Anyway they could make a 2D movie or something.

>Disney will celebrate their 100th anniversary in just 6 years, what do you think they should do to celebrate?
They'll finally release Kingdom Hearts 3

...

A proper installment of Mickey Mouse into the Disney Animated Canon. It's fucking ridiculous that the most coverage the MASCOT OF THE COMPANY has gotten since the retarded "no mickey outside of the parks" rule was lifted has been from low budget tv shows in the early 00s (late 90s?), slightly higher budget shorts as of late, and a fucking JRPG made by the Japs who made Final Fantasy.

Not a short film before your fancy 3D films, not a special animated short made for the 100th, a proper fucking installment centering around Mickey Mouse. It could be 2D, it could be 3D, it just has to be done.

The big issue is that Disney is so caught up in protecting Mickey's image that they've sterilized anything that was appealing in his original design. He can't be too edgy or silly or wacky or anything that might endanger the omnipresent three black circles that Disney so desperately clings to in all of its media, as if by betraying it the very magic holding Cinderella's castle will fall apart and all the little boys and girls will see that it's pretty big but it's really not that big it only looks that big because of clever perspective illusions made by wacky engineers a couple decades ago.

It's a serious problem at this point. They fight so hard to keep Mickey theirs, but they refuse to do anything about him, and let's be real here, not a single child in America has personally connected with Mickey Mouse in several decades. He's not a character, he's an abstract symbol equating to "Disney". And the easiest way to fix that would be to create a full DAC installment that properly established a sharper character for Mickey, whether that means going back to the basics like the (pretty good actually) modern shorts or going forward in some bolder new direction. Make Mine Mickey, Marvel Masters.
