I like how they made a joker an actual character with depth rather then a cardboard edgelord
Anybody tried playing an autistically silent Bruce?
yes. it makes no difference
The illusion of Choice, the cornerstone of Telltale games
It worked when they were making a monkey island series, since in those games you don't make choices.
I had a weird dream last night where I was playing Telltale Batman, even though I've never played it in real life. One of the villains was a human sized, talking T-rex who was scary as fuck. It was a weird dream.
I wish they'd do another sam and max already
Seriously, that has to be the cutest Joker so far.
He's a total qt
Look at this pair of fuccbois

Is this what TellTale was going for?
I don't remember acting in this.
Lana did I get into the absinthe again?
but what about them goblin darts?
He's so awkward when talking to Bruce, I love it.
That torn ear still looks pretty akward.
Wonder if Joker asks you about it? Maybe he also asks Alfred how he got the patch?
VA all but confirmed that Joker will turn up at the mansion and cause tension between Bruce and Selina who's going to show up in episode 3
The fuck is with Joker in this game?
>The first season of Telltale’s Batman series let you create your own take on the Caped Crusader. Through the studio’s distinct brand of choice-based gameplay, players were able to shape the personality of both Bruce Wayne and Batman based on their in-game actions. If you chose to act like a jerk, then that’s exactly what Batman would be. That will continue with the soon-to-launch season 2, but with one important difference: you’ll also be able to mold Batman’s most iconic nemesis, the Joker. “We have a formative Joker, who is paying attention to what you’re doing,” explains Kent Mudle, supervising director on the series. “He’s watching how you solve problems and might be mirroring some of those back to you.”
>“It’s pretty different from canon,” Mudle says. “We have a Joker who, at the start of the season, considers Bruce Wayne as a friend. We have a Joker who is an ally at the start of the season. He’s creepy and weird and uncomfortable, but he also wants to help Bruce out. The key difference with our Joker is that the things you do affect him.”
>Wonder if Joker asks you about it? Maybe he also asks Alfred how he got the patch?
He knows Bruce is Batman, though.
>The key difference with our Joker is that the things you do affect him.
See, it's Telltale so I know that's bullshit but I still want to see how it plays out.
It was fun playing as silent angry Bigby in The Wolf Among Us.
That's what we think.
I have no idea what this is but it looks fag as shit.
I think it will be something similar to Harvey in the first game, where no matter what you do or say he will turn evil and start coming after you
Still the fact they can basically boil down your input to four options does open up the interesting possibility of Joker literally metagaming you. So for example if you pick mainly logical choices the game puts you on a track where Joker sets up a logical choice that backfires that you can get around by acting 'out of character'.
I doubt TellTale could pull it off but it would be an amazing way to screw with players and bring the whole 'Joker is Batman's true nemesis because he forces him to think in completely different ways' thing to the fore
>complains something is faggy
>uses a tripcode

Your loss, fag.
Don't go hyping me up too much now, user.
He's quite handsome, no homo.
>saddest thing
You'd know, being an attention-seeking tripfag, so we'll trust your expertise.
Got a problem with that?
...
Ask the prophet Muhammad about them
If the Joker gives you that card and you're his therapist, get the fuck off the case before he sets the hook. He is working the fuck out of your mind, and you don't even know how half-fucked you are yet. A lot of people don't realize that he's damn-near expert psychologist-level himself, despite his apparent insanity.
Talking from experience, Harley?. It'd be funny if most players fell for Joker's bullshit like Harley did
Or Wallace and Gromit. Or Monkey Island. Or, fuck it, CSI.
No, really. CSI games were too damn good for a crappy police procedural they are a spin-off of.
>implying Harley's the only one who's ever fallen for him
Dude, he's a MASTER-level mind-fucker. 20 years after the last time you two had a session, you'd still be tripping off of stuff you see daily that make you think of him.
Damn, his face is grotesque there. Like the dried up skin of a mummy.
It's just Dustin Nguyen. He likes to draw Joker like he's in his 60s.
Dude, Joker is an excellent trollmaster. Dare I say it, the original trollface ha ha.
so.. what the fuck is this? is this an alternate universe where the Joker was just some guy with a fucked up bleached face and green hair for years or some shit? instead of being already Coo Coo for coco puffs by now?
>this whole post
God I wish telltale were this competent. It would be a fucking beautiful world.
Is there somewhere I can watch this? All youtube gives me is trailers and some gameplay that doesn't have this scene.
Has there ever been a story where the Joker becomes redeemed, and Batman is the one to fall from grace? The roles between the two change.
Not of which I am aware. At least in any main continuity earth. Earth 3 though he usually comes to the brink of madness and is of strong enough will to only crack but not break. Usually being the Jokester or the Jester; save for a fun Earth 3 Bateman Brave & The Bold where he was a truly fucking stylish heroic red hood.
Yeah, it's called White Knight.
>People actually falling for it.
TT writers are garbage. The characterization could easily be genuine.
>I haven't played the game but I'll judge the people who will anyway.
That's what you sound like.
For real. We know the Joker is manipulative and a liar from what we've seen in the Arkham section of the game. He's literally trying to turn the players into a Harley.
Joker's power is he always gets out of arkham / jail/ whatever.
So if you're his shrink you're dead or under lifelong threat of being murdered.
Now if it was the real world he wouldn't ever get out and all you'd have to do is drop the case when you felt certain boundaries have been crossed.
Too late
Any good fuckfights in the new chapter?
I heard a fan theory about him being telltales universe Harley queen to a female joker.
Wouldn't be too surprising. Season 1 clearly showed that Telltale is willing to drastically change characters just to try something different.
Have you looked in the mirror lately?
is it any good?
Sterling, don't pretend you wouldn't love to be Batman.
Lady Arkham a much better character than Arkham Knight.
That really should be the 9th or 10th Season.
>Telltale made a Bone game
First I heard of it.
It was one of their first
It's not out yet.
I hope the first episode is about John getting out and asking Bruce for a job, and having to deal with that.
No way fag
As much as no one wants to admit it, even David Cage games have more choice.
>Tripfag calling something else faggy
what a massive faggot
I think everyone knows David Cage games are much more interactive and your choices actually matter; it just that the plot and writing is so fucking batshit.
TTG does a good job of looking good aesthetically but falling apart in the long term
I actually liked Heavy Rain.
Do you owe him a favor, Sup Forums?
Shut the fuck up Pedoklu, don't you have a post about little girls to make
I can make out Bane and likely Harley, but who's that dude on the right? Hugo Strange?
worst poker face ive ever seen
Says someone who played Batman once. The game has different levels, different character interactions, hell you even get a new suit or don't based on your choices.
This might actually top Europa in terms of Batman and Joker homolust
>Likely Harley
Nah, it can't be her. The character doesn't have the pigtails and the only time Harley has used a hammer has been in Arkham City (I guess)
>the only time Harley has used a hammer has been in Arkham City (I guess)
This has to be bait
No. Europa was gross fan fiction. Telltale Joker and Batman are more like the bully at school that protected you before all the other kids started to like you so he turns on you.
Why bait?. I know she used a mallet before but I thought that was different than the hammer featured in that pic, unless I'm misremembering City
Looks like Freeze to me.
How the fuck are you playing it? Its not out til Tuesday
Well he's dead now, so...
In the first season of Walking Dead, silence could at least get you some exclusive dialogue as you let other characters' arguments play out to their own natural conclusion. It's not until later games that it simply became the speedrun option.
Every story out there is fanfiction if it's not written by the creators of the characters.
In Batman it changes things drastically. I swear ppl that say dumb shit like this never even tried it.
I played a silent angry Batman and it scared the fuck out of ppl when I didnt talk.
Any other pages you could share of it?
Sure. Here's Batman being a sadistic bully.
The real question here is has it been done?
Anyone taking bets on who's funeral Bruce is attending?
Batman's.
It's most likely Lucius Fox.
I miss Brote content. I know he still streams, but goddamn do I miss those Machinima vids he used to make, even if Machinima themselves were a bunch of fucks.
>W-who told you I was Batman?
>WHOA YOU'RE BATMAN? I was gonna say I knew you were gay but damn
The hyper realistic eyes and teeth in a cartoonish face is too uncanny valley for me.
They're doing Joker right.
Since Joker wants Batman to help him against Riddler and there's mentions of his "friends", are we basically seeing the War of Jokes and Riddles here?
Is that in episode one? Is the alarm at the tower real, then? Maybe the Riddler device backfired on him or something.
Forget this, I want another Night at the Inventory poker game. Nominating
