So what does Sup Forums think of this upcoming game cuphead that's strongly influenced by 1930s cartoons, do you think it will cause an increase interest in cartoons from the 1920s-1940s?

Looks pretty cool

I hope it gets lewds, so then it will cause an increase of interest towards cartoons from the 1920-1940's and we get lewds of that too.

>Lewds
>Of anthopomorphic coffee cups

I wonder what John K would think of this. I'm sure he would autistically pick at every inconsistency regarding the era of animation they were trying to mimic.

_____ __ ___ _____ __ ___?

i doubt it, especially given its been delayed for like 3 years thanks to them having to add actual levels to the game instead of not doing the boss rush only thing
MS even paid for it to be on Conan and they barely even showed the game off

You realize we had a threads recently on Sup Forums of people masturbating to rotary miniguns, potbellied stoves, and political borders defined by rivers?

First of all rotary miniguns are sexy as fuck. That's all I really wanted to say.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to turn this into a beat'em-up than a run-and-gun game?

About time.

>I wonder what John K would think of this.
He would say it's too Disney-ish and that 1940s MGM is better.

Every game, animation whatnot has it's gimmick to differentiate from other products in its own genre - it doesn't mean interest in said gimmick grows.

My money is on it'll have incredibly mediocre gameplay as they built too much around the aesthetic and so it'll do okay, get a lukewarm sequel (or DLC sequence) that mostly reuses the original assets, and then falls off the map.

Fuck you're probably right

Won't blow up like Bendy which is sad because it deserves it

I really don't understand how Bendy gotten a large fanbase. The game is just meh.

It's too clean cut to be an old cartoon. The old ones always had a kind of jankiness to them that gave them charm. Plus most of the clips I've seen have characters in 3/4 profile, standard post-family guy stuff. They don't have the skill the old animators did for using a wide variety of poses and switching between them.

This. It will get an 80.68% on gamerankings due to the hype and the people who play it will agree that that's too high.

Hasn't this game been in development since the 1930's?

Mad respect on behalf of the team for making it traditional 2-D animated. It's a dying art that needs to be revitalized.

This sounds about right.

I'm still going to buy it anyway.

True

the game is already getting crossover porn with Bendy
so I won't be surprised if all those who likes Bendy also likes Cuphead

But did anyone seriously expect anything else?
Just a fun little side scroller with AMAZING artstyle?

Bendy and the Ink Machine hardly raised that interest, people mostly started making up OCs that barely even 'followed' the rubberhose design rules

I'm so fucking ready, September can't come fast enough

I'm buying it (because I love platformers)

Thought they should've made the platforming segments DLC

I'm pissed it's not coming on PS4. Fuck microsoft.

blame Let's Players

I hoped it would really be traditional animation, but it's colored and put together digitally. Of course the original drawings are drawn, but come on put some old school cels and cameras into action.

user, it's a fucking platformer. Did you really expect characters not to be in 3/4 profile?

Did they jerk off to The Gambia?

what happened to Felix's head top?

Okay I just saw footage of one of the platforming levels. I'm no longer jealous that it's not on playstation.
