I thought so too. Then Sup Forums pointed out that women now help write these scripts and I realised I was only laughing by mistake.

I know better now.

It was fine. I think the pickle genocide thing went on a bit much, but I guess they had to draw it out so Rick comes back at the very end of the therapy or something.

Oh shit a woman wrote this episode? What the fuck, to realize I laughed at a woman's jokes sickens me. Since when were they allowed to be involved in comics or cartoons.

Sorry, I meant to say "female" instead of woman.

Do you understand now why you need Islam?

>now susan is posting here
It was mediocre and then the therapy stuff happened , sealing the deal that this episode was bad.

Oh fuck, it was?

I knew something was off when I sat there in utter silence during the vast majority of it, but I couldn't put my finger on why! Now I understand, I should have been laughing at the failed punchlines, mostly grossoutgag based center that provided the only even attempt at making something resembling humor land, and the bland talking points in the middle that had some of the laziest and most forced dialog this side of when Family Guy tried to be serious.

I knew something was wrong, all that was funny and I just didn't know it! Thank you, opinion man! You saved me during the Ghostbusters remake and you've saved me yet again from my own lack of laughing!

I found my saying Pickle Rick to myself the next day.

Really I think the whole Jaguar character was wasted. He reminded me of Futurama Gargoyle, who came back.

The poop eating joke wasn't great. I like it in the multiverse television, because I could accept in another universe shit eating was a TV show. The second thing was making the principal the shit eater, I find it hard that he eats shit, when Rick and Morty went into his mind and found nothing about shit eating.

>getting this passive aggressive because you didn't like a cartoon
chill out sperg

They're only hating on it because so much of the episode got teased over the last year. They played themselves.

The sooner Rick and Morty leaves this board forever the better.

Straight people in the comments of In A Heartbeat: this really isn't an exclusively gay film, if you replace the boy with a girl it's the same story :/

Me in my head: In a Heartbeat is a story about a gay boy struggling to come to terms with his sexuality. The heart represents his feelings, which keeps trying to reach his crush, the only thing holding it back being himself suppressing his feelings. In the scene when Sherwin is outed to Jonathan and the rest of his peers, a crowd of other students appear to look at them with disgust. Everyone is staring, and Sherwin's heart LITERALLY breaks. Being outed against your will feels exactly like that. Straight people will NEVER experience this, it'll never be relatable to them, and it's not meant to be relatable to them. In A Heartbeat is a film for the queer community, and it's something straight people shouldn't touch.

Me out loud, reverting back into my Internet Meme Persona: had it not been for the laws of this land I would have slaughtered you

wtf I hate women now

I'M MOTHERFUCKING PICKLE RICK WOOOOOO

PICKLE DICK RICK SHIT ON THE FLOOR GET PICKLY

>Getting this assblasted when trying to tell someone that something they didn't like was funny gets thrown back in their face.
Hows about you just close the thread and cry about it some more?

You're welcome user

>math teacher

He was living in a sewer during the Galactic Federations occupation of Earth, eating shit is relatively new for him.

Referring to yourself?

>when Rick and Morty went into his mind and found nothing about shit eating.
Jesus christ. They went into his mind and found all kinds of fucked up shit. In the first episode the established he likes getting his breasts groped by his male students.

But you can't believe he eats shit because you feel it should have definitely been something he was doing in the short amount of time they were in his dream? I thank God every day I'm not so fucking autistic.

>children don't mock each other for their crushes

throw yourself off a building.

I didn't think the episode was very funny, but I loved the Naked Lunch-style insane organic insectoid technology in it.

Had its moments.

Just kinda worries me, really.

>Being outed against your will feels exactly like that. Straight people will NEVER experience this, it'll never be relatable to them, and it's not meant to be relatable to them.

You're straight up an idiot who literally does not understand children.

>had it not been for the laws of this land I would have slaughtered you

Don't worry, they can still execute retarded people in texas. Head on down!

>Responding to pasta

Isn't that what the first two comments are dping because they liked a cartoon?

Also >sperg
Do you know where we are?

I was tricked again. The bad episodes from season 2 maybe are written by a man but they obviously wrote it like woman.

WOMEN REEEEEEEEEEEEEE

It's one of the bottom 5 episodes so far

>Sup Forumsmblr doesn't real it's just a meme you dip
>talk about anything related to women
>WOW REALLY GUYS JUST WOW I CAN'T EVEN RIGHT NOW STOP BEING AUTISTIC YOU VIRGINS

Like clockwork.

It wasn't funny, but it was still a really good episode if only in that it really highlighted how Rick and Beth are responsible for the dysfunction and collapse of their family.

Jerry may be a giant drooling vagina, but god damn if he wasn't right the whole time.

It's not about it being funny. It's popular and it was written by a woman. You're fighting an uphill battle. Arguing with this board like trying to clean a garbage can with trash still in it. Just let them stay in their containment threads away from all the mean women.

>Thread after thread of autistic screeching about the evil SJW wymenz
>W-We're just having an honest discussion bro

Not really. I mean it was still an alright episode for the action, but it wasn't all that funny.

Hell, my buddy is about as reddit as they come and is obsessed with this show, but even he didn't think this one was funny.

>He reminded me of Futurama Gargoyle, who came back.
And like everything else in RnM, Futurama did it better

Anyone else felt like the "you were only special to them, guess it was me you should've impressed" scene was too brutal? It's not like Rick had a personnal vendetta against the rats, and the rats couldn't even understand him, it's just Rick telling himself he doesn't care while torturing an animal to death.

Maybe having pet rats made me overtly sensible to this sort of thing.

>s3 so far has had one great episode, one mediocre but not terrible episode, and one good but not great episode
>everyone on Sup Forums: "OH MY GOD THE SHOW IS SHIT NOW FUCKING DROPPED FEMALE WRITERS REEEEEEEE"

What the fuck is wrong with people? Why are you acting like the first two seasons never had bad episodes? Remember Raising Gazorpazorp? Or Get Schwifty? Or Tiny Rick? Or the second Interdimensional Cable episode? Or Look Who's Purging Now?

Why do you expect every episode to be a literal 10/10 when the show has never even set that standard itself? Why do you judge a 10-episode season based on the first 3 episodes?

fuck off

>Half the episode is trying to force the "Pickle-Rick" meme to pander to the redditor crowd
>Half the episode is a fucking therapy session, a plot already done better in "Big trouble in little Sanchez"
>Ending is just a hamfisted pseudo-intellectual speech made by a self-insert

The only autist here is you for enjoying such pandering schlock you dumb redditor

Thanks for the bump dipshit, just report the thread and move on, you can't somehow convince underage shitposters to stop shitposting

>GET PICKLY

i laughed

Anyone who didn't feel the therapist's speech hit the nail on the head, probably self-inserts as Rick.

If you this applies to you, I'm sure you blame your bitterness on how much smarter you are in relation to others, but you aren't half as clever as you think you are.

The people who dislike you aren't dumbasses, they just see right through you and know you for what you are.

why the fuck would I report the thread? what rule does it break?

>containment threads
at this point the whole board is containment and doing a shitty job of it

Spam, marketing, shitposting outside of Sup Forums, the list goes on

You're retarded.

I liked the episode, but it sure as shit wasn't funny. I didn't laugh once and thought the therapy scenes were retarded and pointless, but I liked the action scenes and Jaguar a lot. It was some of the best non-anime action I've seen in a long time.

I'm not seeing any rule this thread violates.

what were you trying to accomplish here?

Honesty

No wonder I didn't laugh while watching this episode. Never had that problem before this season.

I genuinely liked it. I only demand that R&M be both pathetic and sad, and that's pretty much it. I thought they could have squeezed more jokes in there, but the show is finally starting to take the piss out of viewers who think Rick is a hero and awesome and showing them what he was from the start: an absolute abusive piece of shit. It's great.

The second episode wasn't very good, though. Not a lot happening there and it went on for way too long.

it was homage to ultra violent action movies like john wick

rick has always been more about theatrics

>Straight people will NEVER experience this, it'll never be relatable to them, and it's not meant to be relatable to them. In A Heartbeat is a film for the queer community, and it's something straight people shouldn't touch

>Be shy
>Be attracted to girl/guy in your class
>Not know if she/he feels the same way
>Agonize about facing embarrassment of asking her/him out and trying not to look like a douche
>Actually get up enough courage to do it
>Have them laugh in your face and say no, why would you think that I like you
>She/he tells friends, friends make fun of you and laugh
>Other people hear, laugh at you and bully you to try to impress the girls/guys that are making fun of you.

Straight people will never know this feeling? Get fucked. Everyone has awkward puberty/teenage years. Just because your sexuality is different doesn't mean you are special snowflake faggots.

DEH TUUK OUH JABS!

tl;dr authoritarian Sup Forums butthurt

My main problem with this episode os that ALL of the good parte we're already spoiled in the trailer for season 3. The therapist was boring, and i'm not talking about the monologue, I mean the whole thing "eating shit", "Beth's antagonizing the therapist" and what the fuck she was talking about "racist name"?!

>pop culture references
>juvenile nihilism
>toilet humor
>random violence

When did Sup Forums move away from these things to have them become "Reddit"?

His name ain't Salvage or Austin or something that has alliteration with Sausage, so it'd never work, bud. Pickle Rick.

What about casual misogyny?
The idea that being intelligent doesn't make you a good or happy person?
Are those reddit?

The content of that speech was good, but I feel like the delivery could have been better. It seemed too spontaneous and knowing for a therapist who had literally never met him.

Also she didn't even react when he walked into the room as a FUCKING PICKLE. Bit weird

How is this shit any different from Sup Forums? The lack of racism?

She talks to people who eat shit, she's literally seen some shit.

the pickle thing was great
the forced drama relationship shit was not and needs to stop

Just bring back Jerry and go back to S1 format

Also isn't this after aliens took over the earth? That wasn't erased from history was it?

>>is a psychologist
>>can figure you out completely just by talking to you for five seconds

It seemed more like she had enough context to establish a case based on discussion with Beth and the kids.

Rick isn't exactly a complex person. Any autist would easily figure out he has an inflated ego that he uses to justify his own bullshit since he can't bear the concept of not being the smartest person in the world.

The show is still good because it is exactly what people wanted. Sadly I like the original idea better.

The original idea was that Rick was a old drunk scientist in a very real world getting his grandson to help him do stuff. He wasn't Mr. Perfect and in fact got scared shitless with the first few episodes a few times. He was a real person. Sadly people only saw him as the jaded old man who was perfect and thought that was cooler so they made Rick more perfect overtime and now he isn't scare of shit now because why would he be? People got exactly what they wanted. If this episode was done with the original human Rick he would find the experiment to be stupid and pointlessly risky and ironically enough would just say going to therapy is stupid just like how he told Morty going to school is stupid. The end. This stupid episode exist because people asked for a stupid Rick who is superman levels of perfect that he can get away with doing such. You reap what you sow.

>Morty and Summer: ... I liked her
>Rick and Beth: Yeah we're never going back there again
>Realize Rick and Beth are basically the people shitting on this episode and the kids are the people who didn't mind it
>The people who want the show to be 100% crazy science adventures ARE Rick
Really tickles the brain box dont it.

>What is TV?

I'm confused. I thought Sup Forums would love this episode because the female writers are making Beth as shitty as Jerry, if not worse.

Should the therapist have kissed her ass and told her she was right instead of delving into her issues? What the fuck do you people want?

You know, something we tend to overlook but Cronenberg monster universe was apparently the original universe, as Rick himself admitted in this episode ("I already abandoned my daughter once in an alternate universe where everyone turned into monsters"). And, I'm not sure but aren't Beth, Jerry and Summer from that universe still alive? I can't remember if they ever got revisited and killed or not.

Morty's dealt with the fact that he's buried his alternate self and taken his place - in weird ways, but he has - and he's been up front with Summer about it already. Rick doesn't seem to have really dealt with all that. If we take him at his word that he abandoned his daughter "once already" and that that implies that cronenberg world was his native world, then he hasn't actually been hopping from one universe to another taking their places.

I just feel like that's an issue we might come back to again at some point.

What about the upcoming Rest and Ricklaxation episode at the end of the month where R&M are so traumatized by their constant close scrapes with death they have a massive screaming nervous meltdown?

I am the Rickest of Ricks then. Too bad this show now has women writers, it will always be shit now mainly because the closest these SJW's have came to STEM in university is when they went to the abortion clinic and had little Jerome vacuumed out.

>No random belches
2/10.

Four pounds of flax

>using Sup Forums as a quality metric

And wouldn't it also be considered "Reddit" to write out long-winded, condescending, poor attempts at analysis?

remember when rick wasn't a dick who constantly deflects any criticism? he tells his grandkids there's infinite versions of them and he doesn't have to give a fuck about them and when he comes back for them morty calls him out on it. his response? "don't kick me while I'm down" can anyone name 1 (one) moment where rick didn't kick someone while they were down? fuck, rick has devolved into a huge douche since season 1 and i wish the show would return to 'justin roiland's autistic adventures'

>Jerome
>black name

>remember when rick wasn't a dick who constantly deflects any criticism
I seem to remember this being what he did in the first episode. He swindled his grandson into smuggling pineapple sized beans up his ass that gave him a seizure, all in order to convince his daughter he was right about Morty skipping school.

Nope, he's literally always been like that. I wonder where people watched this mythical amazing first season since I just watched it last week and the main difference between the first and third is the first tries more jokes and the third tries more development.

Sup Forums approved cut of the episode

Is it just me who see Arnie's face in that thumbnail?

Rats are vermin, not pets

Did you cry for the multiple roaches Rick kills, too?

>The idea that being intelligent doesn't make you a good or happy person?
That sounds like the anti-thesis of reddit, and yet autists here call R&M reddit. Do you people even watch what you shit on? I know you don't when it comes to Gravity Falls, but don't tell me you faggots are like this with every show

LOOK MORTY IM A TEMPLATE!

PICKLE RICK!

Of course not. Hell, reddit had an anti R&M thread get upvoted on r/television, so wouldn't that mean that bitching about R&M (and its fanbase) is reddit as fuck?

>being so off put and fed up of negative feedback by others that you resort to making an entire thread dedicated to calling them out

That's because the Asian psychiatrist was actually the self-insert of the Asian-American writer of the episode, meaning she had known about Rick and his shenanigans for at least 2 years.
