I started watching Bob's Burgers last night.

Whats Sup Forums's opinions on the show, Good? Bad? Meh? Alright?

So far I actually like all main 5 of the characters so far and its actually pretty nice to see a more down to earth prime time show.

I like Bob's Burgers alot. The characters are all interesting, the dynmaic is fun and the show borders on the surreal in an enjoyable way with slice of life stuff. Kind of gives me a 90s family comedy movie vibe sometimes with how it's presented.

I like it a lot but I stopped watching around season 5 or so because it just got too samey.

It's pretty great.

It's pretty good as a matter of sitcom cartoons that aren't adult swim edgy/random shit, but it's pretty formulaic as a matter of Linda being overbearing but oblivious, Louis being evil, Gene being weird, and Tina being awkward.

Best primetime network cartoon by a long shot. Shame the 24/7 stream is dead. I would leave it up all day long after I cancelled my cable.

You could always do what I do: set up a Plex server, download some seasons, and just click shuffle every time you feel like watching it

I like the characters in the family and Teddy in small doses.

My only grievance is the gimmick that every human being outside of the family and Teddy is a horrible, antagonistic asshole for exactly no reason. Everyone the Belchers meet is spontaneously a dick to them without provocation and becomes the villain of the episode (and they usually win). It gets taxing after a while.

Hugo got used WAYYYYY too much for a few seasons in the middle and I appreciate that they're dialing him back. He was the fucking worst.

Pic related is my basic attitude towards it

The Belchers reminds me of my family when me and my siblings were younger. I don't know if thats good or bad.

I was Gene

Tina is best girl. Uhhhhnnn...

on Vaughnlive there probably is a bob's burger stream on right now (und topic 'other' or similar)

I honestly cannot stand the voices. It's great otherwise.

>Mom I can't believe I got detentiioooooon...
>don't even worry about you're like reaaally pretty

Josline best girl

It's a meh show. Not bad but not particularly good either. Completely inoffensive. I don't really get the point of it.

>I don't really get the point of it.
>I don't get the point of a cartoon that is clearly about a family that runs a burger restaurant dealing with the weirdos of their home town
Okay

I've only ever seen it regarded positively here.

Every single ep is on Hulu now (and will get the new ones the day after air too), honestly I'd reccomend that service to anybody. They also have Futurama, American Dad, lots of [adult swim], CN, Nick...

Also I love this show OP. Comfy as fuck. It's a shame I've seen every episode so many times that I can't get anything new out of em but it just makes me more excited for the next season.
Also I don't think there's been any significant quality decline which is impressive to see. S1 is rough but season 3 and season 7 are more or less the exact same show

It's fair enough

It's great.

Sure, there are some meh episodes, and a few bad ones, but the quality is generally consistent and high.

I like the other kids at school a lot. Even the retard twins.

It's such an oddly sweet show. Like, Tina rides an imaginary horse and instead of making fun of her, they cheer her on.
I also like the siblings interactions.

It's not a bad show at all, but once you've seen one episode you've kinda seen them all.

Good & comfy show that's funny without trying extremely hard to be 14 year old-tier offensive.

right, nobody's trying to be the "cool for that" character, everybody's just up for whatever

>give me an opinion, Sup Forums
Sup Forums and Sup Forums are the absolute fucking worst about this shit.

Meh, its okay. Might watch it whenever theres jack shit

When you're talking about a show I think it's just to spark discussion about it rather than literally telling the OP what to think

Episodes where the universe fucks Bob over

It's the only must-watch show I have right now.

And it's not just because of the ships. Really.

>shipping J-Ju and Tina

He doesn't deserve her. Zeke or the dance kid with the jealous gay friend is where it's at.

RSR and Louise is top tier, though.

Gene can be annoying most of the time, but we all agree on that

It's pretty inconsistent. Episodes range from funny and entertaining to boring and annoying. The latter becomes more prevalent in later seasons.

anybody else want the kids to age?
I want Tina to go to college, I want Louise to experience getting dumped, I want Gene to realize hes a drag queen (or stand up comedian, same thing)

>too cool for that

my bad

Tina is relatable to an uncomfortable degree.

So what you and Calvin are trying to say is that it was Comfy.

>Hulu
>I'd reccomend that service to anybody.
This. Netflix is overrated. Lot more content on Hulu. Well worth the commercial free plan.

They have JoJo, ffs.

Original season was best. They had nothing to lose so they weren't afraid to go full dark mode, the characters hadn't been watered down and flanderized and had their own opinions and cared about stuff. The animation was fluid and somewhat grotesque in a weird fun way.

Now the animation is static with only the mouths moving. The plots and jokes are funny sometimes but remind me a lot of the Simpsons. The fluid lines and motion are gone because syndication, and the characters can't progress or get older or change in any way because Fox. This was not an immediate process, it happened over time but it was still disappointing. The show lost its heart. I dropped it with great sadness.

I fucking love Bob's Burgers.

At it's worse it's still watchable, but at it's best it's the funniest shit.

I like the show a lot, good characters.
Although a lot of the humor is dry, there is still moments that I find funny like this youtube.com/watch?v=FXEoe8_CcbM and youtube.com/watch?v=t9TfgMM7Xto

The animation has objectively gotten better though
In the first season it was cheap tweened Flash puppets, now it's handdrawn

By Season 7 they're all developed out of those traits

I like it, I watch it whenever I get it on TV. my only gripe with it is that there aren't "normal" characters. Aside from Bob maybe, everyone is quirky and random and funny in BB's universe. It's kinda boring after a while. Still, it's pretty good

Louise does a cute dance
youtube.com/watch?v=Kc1htX3q-F0

Really enjoy it, but the latest seasons have had their fair share of sub par episodes. I think it's because they've had a lot of episodes with the parents and kids are split into their own a and b plots.

Indeed

Netflix: For movies and originals
Hulu: For TV shows

I'd say the first season is good, the second season is better, the third and fourth seasons are the best, the fifth season takes a slight dip, season 6 had more misses than hits, and season 7 was just... blah. I hope it gets canceled in another year or two before it gets too bad.

I quite enjoy Bob's Burgers.

It's pretty comfy to marathon. And I also like that type of voice acting that's being featured in all of Lauren Bouchard's shows. You know, when voices overlay each other. It's pretty funny and I prefer it over awkward pauses you usually see in similar shows.

I would say that Sup Forums is the worst about trying to make a hivemind, Sup Forums is pretty bad about that too

Tina isn't so weird in this regard. Back when you could actually check statistics on random videos on YT, I've found out that 9-12 and 13-16 year old females are the biggest demographics for horse breeding and semen harvesting videos. Tween and teen girls are all about that horse cock.

Same here, but i started watching season 7 a few days ago.
It is still good, just needed a break.

Zeke + Tina is a patrician tier ship and needs more love.

J-Ju is a loser.

I'd argue that Hulu has better movies, though. And Netflix originals are so hit or miss that it's hard to say there.

Why on earth would you research something like that?

You have to go back.

>Regular Sized Rudy? Why do they call you that?
>Just look at me.

For some reason this gag fuckin destroys me

You realize part of that is that girls that age are usually into horses as a hobby and search that stuff to educate themselves exactly how to breed good horses right? Or so they claim.

it's pretty unbelievably hilarious for such a simple joke

>isn't so weird
Why the hell would I take your judgement on what is and isn't weird?

Tina going to high school would be great.

It started with me checking the statistics out on that scene where Finn bathes in the fountain with his hat and shirt off. I expected the viewers to be purely 20-24 year old men from Sup Forums after the way the feedback thread reacted, but it turned out to be mostly 9-12 girls, closely followed by grown ass women at 25-30, followed by teen girls and then tween boys.

I was into pastel horses at the time, so I had some actual horses in the suggestion feed (it was a time before the current super-retarded algorithm that only shows you creators you already know and it showed anything it considered marginally related). So I clicked on that, in part because I couldn't believe YT allowed horse cocks without so much as an age restriction, and after decided to find out who watches that stuff, I expected grown women or maybe creepy/professional older men, but it turned out to be tween and teen girls.

It might be a part of it. My guess is that this is just much easier to find than porn for a girl with parental block. Or maybe it's purely a fascination with it's size. Or even some sort of mix between love for horses and budding sexuality.

A friend worked on a horse farm (the riding for tourists type) for a summer, and he told me that taking pictures of horse hard-ons is only second in popularity to riding for the young girls coming there. He also heard stories of girls getting caught touching the cocks and even jerking the horses off from other workers.

"Weird" by definition is something that isn't the norm, both statistics and anecdotal evidence indicate that it very much IS the norm.

Other then "Family Frackus", Yeah.

I think voicing the female characters with men was a great touch, but i find it lazy that there are are more than one character with the same voice: Like how Jon voices Bob and the school secretary with the same voice, alongside Linda and one of Tina's classmates.

The worst antagonist is clearly Lin's sister
She never gets any karma for her antagonism because "she doesn't know any better!"

>Other then "Family Frackus", Yeah.

Pucker up chuck!

it has some really good episodes where it really shines and its really funny

the problem is you have to get through tons of episodes of just filler bloat and thats why this show gets knocked down to a 6/10

Oh you mean Gale?

Also wasn't there a thing between her and Mr. Frond for like... an episode and a half?

>the dance kid with the jealous gay friend

I want them to make a comeback.

oh look a crossover
youtube.com/watch?v=jinBlY9BpJ0&index=1&list=FL5KEaM45Lnq4tWFslcsc1eA

>Oh you mean Gale?
Yeah, I couldn't remember her name for a moment. Anyways, I don't see how anyone could defend her, especially after the Thanksgiving snowstorm episode.

This show is like a sleeping pill to me. I don't like using the term much but it really is comfy to put on at bed and go to sleep with.

Aw bullshit. They ruined their pre-established Archer is Bob thing.

This... could work.

Loren Bouchard gave this guy a job

...

...

Also the Archer guys congratulated him and offered to let him tour their studio

>that Coach McGuirk at 2:45

>Back when you could actually check statistics on random videos on YT, I've found out that 9-12 and 13-16 year old females are the biggest demographics for horse breeding and semen harvesting videos.
LIAR! YouTube doesn't log age data on viewers under 13, and never has.

Disgusting worm people. Draw a normal chin for fucks sake.

I can be wrong on exact ages since this was a long time ago, but I don't think so. And it wasn't anything other than an age group and percentage that they are of total views. That's not personal data in any way. It's simply a statistic. That can hardly be even called a log.

Oh, wow, I didn't realize this was a fanwork. No wonder this guy got offered a job.

they are still a thing

The age groups YouTube reports are as follows:
13–17 years
18–24 years
25–34 years
35–44 years
45–54 years
55–64 years
65+ years

There is not and never has been any age under 13 groups. There's no way for YouTube to even get that information, as they doesn't allow accounts to be registered with a DOB under 13.

Yeah, it's a British guy. He just patched together audio from tons of different episodes.
Pretty big move for him to leave behind his life and go to California but he's living the dream

Then just move the groups in my story up by one in age, since 9-12 doesn't exist. But realistically, I think I'm closer to the truth. You'd be an idiot to believe kids don't lie about their age to register accounts on sites.

It's really charming. Some other people have mentioned this but it's a novelty for how loving and supportive the family is. They're not trying to shock viewers or anything. It's nice.

I recently finished bingewatching season 7.

I liked it.

>You'd be an idiot to believe kids don't lie about their age to register accounts on sites.
Fuck!

If kids are LYING ABOUT THEIR AGE to YouTube, then analytics isn't magically going to report based on their real age.

Hugo is okay when used sparingly

I wish they should do the same with Mr. Frond.
Not phase him out but don't have him be the bad guy every time.

It's why I like Court episode

Have you been watching the new episodes? Bob making friends with former enemies is a recurring theme.

Heck, he made friends with Jairo of all people.

If not Tina, Jimmy Jr. deserves somebody.

His museoms made him more adorably awkward

That's pretty good

Teddy is like Bill from KoTH only slightly less pathetic, happier and the Family accepts him more

They're both based on Jim Dauterive, a writer and producer on both shows for their entire runs

Completely in their voices every time.

Like the indexer always says...
Kill yourself

If Louise discovered gacha, she'd at first be furious thay she didn't come up with it, and then we'd discover her gambling addiction.
