Is there even one A-list Marvel or DC superhero with two living, married parents?

Is there even one A-list Marvel or DC superhero with two living, married parents?

Superman.

Vision

Pa Kent dies in Brainiac pre-FP
Both are dead post-FP

Kamal...damn
Probably should check the X-Men I guess

When did Kamala's parents die?

Damian Wayne
Duke Thomas

>A-List
>Married parents
Bunk humped.

that ultron model died along time ago and wasn't married

>A-list

Literally no A-list characters have been created at Marvel or DC since the 90s.

There are just three A list heroes.

I'd argue B-list as well.

Wonder Woman

>married

This.

Barry Allen's parents were happily married and alive prior to Crisis. Also, Rider Nova (I know he's not really A-list) had both parents alive and married until the recent solo when they killed the father off.

I believe Tim Drake had already been Robin for two years when his parents were killed off. Wasn't really necessary.

Wouldn't A list just mean non legacy?

No? Barry, Wally, Hal are A-Listers

Thor.

Or do the Asgardians not believe in marriage or some bullshit like that?

None of those are A listers.

(you)

Thor's parents aren't married. His mother is Gaea.

A listers will never have a completely perfect life. The innate tragedy that made them heroes is what resonates with folks. The closest an a lister got to a happy family was Byrne Superman.

>Barry Allen's parents were happily married and alive prior to Crisis
Prior to Johns's Flash Rebirth even.

Thor

Didn't Odin and whatsherface split during Whor run?

Frigga is Thor's stepmother.

Hank Pym actually hasn't managed to kill his parents last I checked.

I really like this picture.

Monica Rambeau's parents are still alive and married, by she's c-list best.

It's from the crossover from 2003-2004.

Ares

The entire point of this thread is that people like Barry and Rider had their parents grim darkified. Barry wasn't even A-list until after his parents were killed because he came back with a dead mom.

>Barry wasn't even A-list until after his parents were killed because he came back with a dead mom.
Nah. He's been A-list since his inception. I'd argue every founding member of the JLA is A-list except Martian Manhunter and Cyborg.

Are Mister Miracle's parents married? I know Highfather married a few times.

I really wish there were at least a few characters who weren't motivated by family tragedy and had more of a happy life.

Rider's parents weren't "grim-darkified" or whatever it is you're trying to say. His dad died of regular cancer while Rich was trapped in the Cancerverse. It was sad.

Everyone dies you guys. Even your parents.

I think Monica's mother died off panel in NEXTWAVE

It was referenced in Mighty Avengers

Jean had a whole family for most of her history.

Those are S list not A list, if we're being fair

There are lot of those, but they still have dead or separated parents. Superman probably being the biggest example of someone generally not tortured into heroism.

Barry legit kicked off the silver-age, and was on hand for the first alternate reality stories. He's not just a-list, he is one of the two or three most important properties ever, and I don't even like fuckng DC. What in the fuck are you even talking about?

Frindge A-List:
Captain marvel
Iceman
Kyle Rayner
Kitty?

Also A-List means recognicable for those who had little contact with the medium right?
Basically whoever my father knows from his youth.

Kitty's dad died on Genosha

If we're not counting step parents then why would we count Superman's adoptive parents?

Hell, they got divorced in the mid 80s.

Not his fault, it was Moore's influence

Who would you even class as A-List?

Of all things, they still haven't retconned them back?

>Not knowing that it was just a long term masterstroke by based cereal king, which would come together at Rebirth.
>being this much of a pleb.

Don't remember if he ever died or not but Carol's father was terminally ill during Brian Reed's Ms. Marvel

Right. Tilt the search. Who is the HIGHEST tier character with living parents.

Apparently he qualifies them as movie stars, since he doesn't consider Hal Jordan and Barry Allen A-List.

if you think those are A-list you're wrong
More like C-List

heroes that literally everyone knows
Show a rice farmer in China a picture of Batman and he'll recognize it

Gwenpool

Harley Quinn, probably.

Again that's S list not A list

Very narrow range there.
>Batman
>Superman
>Spider-Man
>Wonder Woman?
That's it. You have no idea what A-List means

Billy's parents are both dead

MARVEL teams are now in the DC universe

who's a mutant?
who's an avenger?
who's a knight?
who's part of the thunderbolts?
who's an inhuman and part of the royal family/king?
