DuckTales QuackBack

Lets do Part 2

That Della reveal though

A few noticable problems off the bat:
>the triplets are annoying as fuck. Probably the worst incarnation of HDL since Quack Pack. Always yelling, never listening to anyone, and shown to be grossly incompetent. I was cheering for Dewey to die in that scene where Donald has to keep saving his skin.
>Webby is similarity bad, instead this time she's OVERLY competent (except in social situations for some reason because women "comedy" XD) Basically Mabel 2.0 except with Wendy's physical skills, making the ultimate bland female character
>Donald's voice sounds super off and can make his scenes hard to sit through (and this us coming from a guy who loves classic Donald shorts)
>pacing is really fucking bad. They're trying to jam in too much content into 22 minutes. It just feels bloated and the opposite of a good adventure.
>animation quality is subpar. Character design is really bad in everyone except Scrooge, Donald and Launchpad. Fell for the 'silhouettes" meme and made characters like Glomgold fat for no reason. Ugly ass angular designs that spit in the face of Barks' work.
>terrible soundtrack. Please try humming a memorable tune that isn't the butchured theme song
>going with a hacky adventure setting like Atlantis for your first episode wasn't a good idea

Of course people will defend it in the name of "fun" but these people are retards who defend Rick and Morty season 3.

fag

...

If this picture is true than we wont get Donalds sister soon.

It was fine. You're being a petulant bitch over dumb shit because you want to be mad. You probably had most of that written up before you even watched it.

then don't watch it

what if Della is actually Donald's wife instead of her sister in this universe?

Oh Now I get to do this

>the triplets are annoying as fuck. Probably the worst incarnation of HDL since Quack Pack. Always yelling, never listening to anyone, and shown to be grossly incompetent. I was cheering for Dewey to die in that scene where Donald has to keep saving his skin.
Completely wrong, now they figure things out on their own without the stupid book and have personality unique to themselves instead of generic child 1,2,3.

>Webby is similarity bad, instead this time she's OVERLY competent (except in social situations for some reason because women "comedy" XD) Basically Mabel 2.0 except with Wendy's physical skills, making the ultimate bland female character
Wrong again, did you actually watch the episode because Webby wasn't any more competent then the triplets. Plus her personality could not be more different from Mabel.

>Donald's voice sounds super off and can make his scenes hard to sit through (and this us coming from a guy who loves classic Donald shorts)
Obviously not or you would know its the same guy since 1985

>pacing is really fucking bad. They're trying to jam in too much content into 22 minutes. It just feels bloated and the opposite of a good adventure.
Feels like a first episode

>animation quality is subpar. Character design is really bad in everyone except Scrooge, Donald and Launchpad. Fell for the 'silhouettes" meme and made characters like Glomgold fat for no reason. Ugly ass angular designs that spit in the face of Barks' work.
Can't really argue an opinion, but nah

>terrible soundtrack. Please try humming a memorable tune that isn't the butchured theme song
Its the same tune

>going with a hacky adventure setting like Atlantis for your first episode wasn't a good idea
Really that's a thing to be mad about? How long did it take the original just to get to a generic pirate ship.

>making the ultimate bland female character
That's nonsense, there was a woman director for this episode! She would never have intentionally made Webby bland or anything.

It will probably be the first seasons "Mystery"

Then it would be really weird for Donald to be the uncle

There he is. There he goes again. Look, everyone! He posted it once again! Isn't he just the funniest guy around?! Oh my God.
I can almost see your pathetic overweight frame glowing in the dark, lit by your computer screen which is the only source of light in your room, giggling like a like girl as you once again type your little Dana Terrace post up and fill in the captcha. Or maybe you don't even fill in the captcha. Maybe you're such a disgusting NEET that you actually paid for a Sup Forums pass, so you just choose the picture. Oh, and we all know the picture. The "epic" gotcha on Dana Terrace, isn't it? I imagine you little shit laughing so hard as you click it that you drop your Doritos on the floor, but it's ok, your mother will clean it up in the morning. Oh, that's right. Did I fail to mention? You live with your mother. You are a fat fucking fuckup, she's probably so sick of you already. So sick of having to do everything for you all goddamn day, every day, for a grown man who spends all his time on Sup Forums posting about how cartoons are ruined. Just imagine this. She had you, and then she thought you were gonna be a scientist or an astronaut or something grand, and then you became a NEET. A pathetic politicscuck NEET. She probably cries herself to sleep everyday thinking about how bad it is and how she wishes she could just disappear. She can't even try to talk with you because all you say is "HUH HUH SJWS." You've become a parody of your own self. And that's all you are. A sad little man laughing in the dark by himself as he prepares to indulge in the same old dance that he's done a million times now. And that's all you'll ever be.

>Negative Nancy waiting to be first post
Your thread you started with that copypasta didn't go to your liking I take it?

A few noticable good points off the bat:
>Many references to the comics shows the crew have read and are familiar with some of the most well-loved Duckverse stories
>Characterisations of Scrooge, Donald and Launchpad are on point.
>The Nephews actually having distinct personalities (that fit with the different facets of Scrooge's) is a notable improvement over their lack of personality in earlier incarnations
>It was really funny. Scrooge, Donald, Glomgold and Launchpad all had some great lines
>The family themes are clearly still there with Donald trying to be a good father figure and Webby and Beakly's relationship, as well as the Della reveal at the end.
And like it or not, modern media is going to depict girls behaving like modern girls. Because modern girls aren't going to fucking identify with girls of the '80s just like kids of the '80s wouldn't have identified with kids of the fucking '50s. Hell, the BOYS aren't like their old counterparts because modern boys wouldn't identify well with the old ones either. Deal with it, ya twat, and lets end this tiresome political shit because it's not even political. Society just changes over time. That's why it doesn't look like the old show either.

So are these two gonna kiss or what?

>Your thread you started with that copypasta didn't go to your liking I take it?
Responding to bait doesn't somehow make it not bait, you know.

Sup Forums has some dedicated idiots, need some better buzzwords though, old ones have lost meaning

Oh no. Such an awful tweet. I hate her now.
Actually I don't care.

Listen there is to much fetish to get though right now. but no worries sir we will get your order out as soon as we can.

what if they are his wife's sons?

I like the charatcers but shipping them seems wrong. (I'm not a furry)

Great idea.

What did y'all think of the nephew's personalities? Seems like Huey is going to be the organized by-the-book type, Louie is the schemer and the cool one, and Dewey is the hothead that wants to prove himself. Huey stood out the least in these episodes which leads me to believe the one character in three bodies aspect may still be in play, with one of the nephews being the main voice of the three depending on what the episode calls for.

Like if they were lost in the wilderness, Huey would be the focus, with his woodchuck survival knowledge. If it were an episode where they needed to get rich quick or con their way into an enemy base, it'd be mostly Louie's voice while the other two follow his lead.

What was that post and how did it get deleted so fast?

Webby is gonna be vehemently shipped with every triplet by the end of the season, she will be the Shiro of Duck Tales

...

>need some better buzzwords though
>proceeds to call someone Sup Forums

Oh hahaha shit this godawful board won't tolerate dt lewds because they're """furry"""

Guy asking for porn for bird mercenary

Oh look, is that faggot still try Harding with the ''my opinion is real'' since the fucking morning.
Neck yourself, faggot.

in the eyes of fans? yes

Based on tweets by the creators of the show, Webby will NOT be shipped in show.

I soooo glad I don't watch that Sup Forums crap.

He does a good job as a VA

Sup Forums is a real place where sensitive men go to make themselves feel better when twitter hurts them

Nice trips but we need to start ignoring the dipshits that post the same butthurt shit in every single thread. We can't let every thread be 80% responding to the same stale pasta.

All the kids had loud, one-note personalities and were fighting for the spotlight which made them ironically fade into the background.

I know the original comic has all these characters, but when translated to a TV show, you end up with a really bloated cast when you have no less than SIX characters going on an adventure at any given time and you try to give them all an arc.

Yeah but I want fanart or something

>Sup Forums is a real place
Sup Forums is a website, user. And it's only a branch of a website that you browse.

Websites aren't real places, user, I'm sorry.

Looks like janny's on patrol, might want to take that to .

Not gonna lie it's the same for me, also Kilgrave but Scrooge has a higher more exaggerated scottish accent so its a little easier to forget after a few minutes.

The kids and the voices were really fucking annoying.

I also don't like the "lel so randumb xd" humour.

Not gonna lie, I'm gonna miss all three of them being Woodchucks. Especially with that Rosa comic about how them joining the organization being helpful in directing their explosive energy into something productive. And especially with Dewey and Louie now sort of rolling their eyes at Huey's earnestness.

But I agree- it seems like they can still present a sort of unified front, depending on whose skillset fits the situation.

Well if any of the nephews is going to get laid first lets face it its Louie

He was a wonderful Doctor, even though his run had a couple of particularly bad episodes. It really went down the tubes when Smith succeeded him. Maybe it's gotten better with Capaldi.

>you hear David Tennant
>because David Tennant is the VA
Wut?

The he would be a Step Dad, who is either Dad or Donald. Honestly it feels like it would be fucked up if he was the Step Dad called Donald

Man I didn't want anyone actually posting the lewds here I just wanted some directions or to send out the request to anyone willing to hear it

I shouldn't have to leave Sup Forums just because the girls are anthro animals like for fuck's sake this is getting ridiculous

animation was built on the backs of furry shit and to exclude it is thoughtless

Giving them personalities is a good idea. I hope they use them well. Pilots are a bit boring because it's 50% explaing shit.

>I shouldn't have to leave Sup Forums just because the girls are anthro animals
Well, like it or not, that's what we have to do. Otherwise posts and threads just get deleted.

I think the other user wants to make a cuck reference.

>Not hating someone who is this retarded
In other news, cancer is bad and clean air is good.

I liked it. They could really do with toning down Bluey, Gooey, and Jimmy Son, though. Even TTGo doesn't have people screeching at the top of their lungs and doing the exact opposite of everything anyone or common sense says as much as these quacks.

>All the kids had loud, one-note personalities and were fighting for the spotlight which made them ironically fade into the background.
I know you want to fight, but can you at least not directly paste shitposts from the other thread? It's lazy.

Smith had its moment, and it was in no way a bad doctor, the sketchy episode writing from Moffat was what was impairing him. He was definitely talented, he could have reached Tennant's level otherwise.

>hating Nazis is retarded
Do you ever go outside and talk to normal people user? Because I can guarantee most people do in fact hate Nazis. That's been a fairly normal opinion to have in most of the world since about 1940.

Your anti-vitue signaling is basicly the same.
How does posting the same tweet 100 times is more useful than posting it once.

well guys, it's finally up on youtube. enjoy!

youtube.com/watch?v=wswG-kstQPE

>Bluey
>Jimmy Son
>The Third One

Wich one should be Dewey's meme name?

It's amazing you can write considering your reading comprehension is garbage. Since my second statement clearly indicates that stating "nazis are bad!" is the most obvious retarded thing to say.

Nazi's are idiots though. They couldn't run a country worth a crap, tossed out a bunch of scientists for ideological obsessions, decided to wage an unwinnable war against horrible odds, made huge military blunders and were obsessed with stupid mystical crap.

Except I'm still anonymous. I'm not spouting out how sexist Disney was on my social media while I simultaneously work at Disney and get a TV pilot offer at Disney.

Are we /dtg/ yet?

The tone of the show is off by a mile. With their constant eye rolling and snarky humour they sucked all the adventure spirit from the show. Scrooge summed it best himself:

>Uuuh! Aaaah! Thanks for spoling the moment.

I really feel like these words should be directed to the director and the writer. The animation is a bit better than I expected but the style and character designs are still low budget garbage. The fact that everyone is screaming half of the time is fucking annoying as shit and makes Donald look tamer than he should be in comparison.

I agree they with some opinions here that they should dial down the sitcom aspect and amp up the adventure. The humour is very hit and miss, there were plenty of good lines but there were also some that were abysmal.

The fact that Dewey adressed Scrooge informally by his name really pissed me off, fuck you writer, seriously.

All in all I'm still hopeful but this is nowhere near the quality of the original. Both artistically and in terms of writing. I really liked all the references to the comics and the earlier cartoons. Namedropping St. Canard and Cape Suzette was a nice touch.

So someone is retarded for stating they hold a widely held opinion? Should people only ever express opinions if they're held by a minority? You don't make any sense.

>Based on tweets by the creators of the show, Webby will NOT be shipped in show.
Maybe not for the first season anyway.

Look it's a Disney show. There's gonna be shipping. It practically always happens.

Fucking hell, is this thread just going to be pasta from previous threads? I like talking about the show but fuck this. We need a filter like /r9k/ to stop copypasta.

But user, I do hate someone this retarded, I hate you

Do you actually think "Nazis are bad!" is something even remotely worth stating? And worth stating with an air of seriousness?

It goes beyond someone going, "I actually enjoyed Delgo". They may as well have said "sad things are sad".

The show doesn't actually premiere proper for over a month mate.

>Completely wrong, now they figure things out on their own without the stupid book and have personality unique to themselves instead of generic child 1,2,3.
I agree, though based on the short animations, Huey might end up being the typical Junior Woodchuck type nephew.

Generally I feel like they have taken different ways the nephews have been presented across the years and derived three variations one for each.

sonny jim

I admit to copypasting it, but it's because I just want a nice conversation and when I posted this the last time people were already at each other's throats.

First of all, why keep posting copypasta. Second

>The fact that Dewey adressed Scrooge informally by his name really pissed me off,
Why does that bother you so much? The first time he does it, it clearly gets a rise out of him.

Perhaps it was in response to someone who was saying that Nazi's are good.

Such as a movement in the modern American climate which is extremely loud and active online that is pretty much just Nazi's II, electric boogaloo.

So, are future DuckTales threads just going to be , and from here on out? Eh.

So, Donald is going to wear his new sailor outfit given to him by Glomgold from here on out? Man, there is so gonna be some kind of tracking device in that.

They won't because Webby is the "4th triplet" and that would feel weird to have "triplets" having a romance. That's the reason they gave and it makes sense so I don't think they'll change that. Isn't the show supposed to have a new girl side character? I bet she's the one they're gonna fight over. Webby can get Doofus or Bubba

We've had like, 8 threads since the premiere and there really is very little to talk about outside of the, "MOM?!" moment. Like, the most people can do is review the episodes and the episodes aren't all that grandiose that they go beyond the, "It was okay" review.

The episodes played it just as safe as I expected from a Disney cartoon. Bordering on Sabrina the Teenage Witch levels of writing. It's hard to talk about something that's "safe". It's why Illumination, despite having like, seven films, is rarely talked about on this board. Same thing with Blue Sky.

It's a giant company. You don't have agree with everything your company does.

Also virtue signaling = Asking for approval from your peers with cheap repetition of in-group opinions.

>Those sjws writers ruin everything, amirite?

I think it's easy to deduce a big plot involving this series.

Donald and his sister (Della Duck) used to travel through the whole world with their Uncle Scrooge and having adventures. Then one day, in their last adventure together, something terrible happened and Della disappeared; believed to be dead. Donald and Scrooge had a huge fight over what happened to Della and Donald ceased to talk to his uncle since then, blaming him for what happened to his sister. Donald started to take care of his nephew and became overprotective because he didn't want to lose "the last of his family". And Scrooge, feeling really sorry for Della, retired from adventures and cut all his family ties, to avoid the tragedy to repeat itself.

I truly hope Della Duck will make an appearance in the series, possible in the last episode of the series or of one of the seasons.

I think the same thing but then why would Donald decide being around Scrooge would ever be allright?

>We've had like, 8 threads since the premiere and there really is very little to talk about outside of the, "MOM?!" moment. Like, the most people can do is review the episodes and the episodes aren't all that grandiose that they go beyond the, "It was okay" review.
Yeah, but just reposting stuff from previous threads is the definition of lazy and having little to talk about. It's just starting shit for no reason.

If someone thinks it wasn't worth their time to talk about they should just ignore the thread, not spam it.

Normally I'd disagree but yeah this is getting retarded. These threads are pretty useless for discussing the show itself when every single one revolves around arguing around the same 2-3 copy pasted rants and some retarded tweet. It's just a loop that turns into pure meta discussion that drags everything in.

Oh well, some of the earlier threads were fun. How long do you think before we get Gizmoduck?

My only gripe with premiere was Dewey changing the map. Man that brought nothing to table. Scrooge was making a point there, and then we just flash trough all the trouble they had to face taking the short route.

>Bordering on Sabrina the Teenage Witch levels of writing
So it's amazing?

Did you miss the part where there was a literal march of nazis in the fucking USA today/last night?
Denouncing nazis is relevant and important.

You're not around kids a lot, are you? They act basically the same. The only difference is the tech they use and what it does with their social interactions. There are way more "classical Webbies" out there than there are hypercompetent social shut-ins with martial arts skills and "masculine" pursuits.

I watched cartoons from the '30 and '40 when I was a kid, kids today watch them if they have cool parents (and I know a few that have) and when they see classics like early Tom and Jerry they automatically stop watching garbage like Peppa the Pig. Asked why they'll tell you "because it's ugly and no fun". Who would have thunk, eh?

>this is already a pasta

fucking Sup Forums , i swear

Pretty sure he's referring to the cartoon version.

I don't think any girl acts like Webby either old or new DT.

>Denouncing nazis is relevant and important.
>People believe this
Whew. I've heard of rehashing movies and TV shows, but rehashing historical events just to feel relevant? Damn.

Those marches are probably on the same level as the Trump "riots" where it's just a bunch of idiots looking for attention, not for change.

Action-reaction. Radical left basically created them. They look like regular blokes now and not Illinois Nazis from Blues Brothers. They are irrelevant. The radical left in academia is way more dangerous and they are the ones that should be denounced. Unscietific looney toones providing ideological trainings in places of higher learning... that's fucking dangerous. Not a bunch of twats with torches.

That stupid hack "denouncing nazis" is taking an easy route to signal how progressive she is. By combating something that endend in 1945. Real courage.

That is the same impression I got. And it seems clear that they'll either follow the leader from ep to ep or go A plot B plot. In this case Dewey was A trying to prove himself and Louie was B trying to teach Webby to lie. Huey was one or two specific jokes and thats it.

Liked it, Tennant makes a good scrooge. The nephews are annoying (dewey was particularly bad in the atlantis ep) but I do like that they have personalities. I honestly can't think of all that much the original DT nephews had to stand out from one another, but then again, I was pretty young when the original was still airing so hell if I'm remembering a lot about it.
Hate to agree with the shitposter, but something did sound off about donald's voice. Like they turned up the (what do you call it? Quacking? Raspiness?) There were a lot of times I couldn't make out what he was saying. Maybe he was trying to talk too fast or something.
Webby is giving off some Mabel vibes, but it's not too overwhelming just yet. See how it goes.
Launchpad had some pretty good moments.
I think I'm most interested to see how Donald and Scrooge interact down the road, since I think I heard the first season was going to have an overarching plot about their history

Like I said, you're not around kids a lot. Some act like the old Webby and it's as fun as it sounds. You can hate on a cartoon, but how can you tell a parent that his girl acts like the most infuriating retarded pile of pink shit imaginable?

>Asked why they'll tell you "because it's ugly and no fun".
Yes, kids in Peppa's extremely young age demographic care about how the cartoon looks and find no enjoyment in anything beyond slapstick. I'm sure you polled them while riding your unicorn too. Who'd have thunk, eh?

Maybe, maybe not. Given the next episode isn't til September I'm sure they(most likely he) will get board of it after today with nothing new. The again Gwenpool threads have taught me that sometimes haters are really really dedicated.

Aeroplanes

>Those marches are probably on the same level as the Trump "riots" where it's just a bunch of idiots looking for attention, not for change.
It seems you also missed the fact that a car drove over anti-fascist counter protest. I'd say that today nazi killed a person in America.

For you also. Nazi(s) fucking killed and maimed people today. And republicans are trying to make laws to make that legal. Left saying "nazis shut the fuck up" is not on same level with fucking murder.

Is there a MEGA?

I don't even know if it's aired yet actually
